The greatest strengths of the Novotel Bali Ngurah Rai are its proximity to the domestic and international terminals, its value, room comfort and cleanliness. For international arrivals, access to the hotel's entrance is a somewhat circuitous and hidden walk through passageways and carparks. We have stayed here twice now after a late evening arrival from Australia chosing a morning pick up from the Novatel rather than a late night drive and checkin.
Location is absolutely great only a short walk from the International Terminal. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern, well appointed and quiet. Despite its location at the airport, not a sound of the air traffic can be heard in the rooms making for a restful night.
Breakfast in the restaurant is great with a wide selection of international cuisine catering for the flight crews who stay here between flights.
Pool and facilities are good but underused as most (like us) use the Novatel as a way stop on their way to or from Bali destinations.
If you're coming into Bali late,the Novatel is a great place to ease into your holiday.

We stayed at Novotel on a Monday night and booked a superior king room for Rp 1,399,999 (~140 AUD). We arrived about 11pm to be pleasantly surprised by Diego, the reception manager, that we had received an upgrade to a suite. He then kindly escorted us to the room and then up to the rooftop bar which stayed open a tad longer than the midnight closing so we could enjoy a drink or three. We were the only people up there and we had a nice chat with the friendly bar tender. What a lovely start to our trip and welcome back to Indonesia. Both Diego and the bar tender are great assets to your team Accor/Novotel! They are why I gave a 5 star rating and have already rebooked.
I like the Novotel for 1. Convenience (especially if you are onward travelling) 2. Great staff 3. Lovely rooms 4. Very quiet even though you are on an airport site 5. Value for money. I have stayed at many airport hotels in a number of countries and this is consistently the best!
The room itself was lovely and because I got an upgrade I’m just reflecting rather than rating on the room itself. It had 2 toilets, one to the left of the entry, a sitting room, walk through wardrobe (including ironing board and iron), huge bathroom area and large shower room. The bedroom did not disappoint either. I just wish we had more time to enjoy it.

Being located right by the airport makes this hotel an obvious choice for business travelers. However, the WiFi connection is absolutely unacceptable. Even opening a basic website takes an unreasonable amount of time. As a crypto nomad whose work depends entirely on reliable internet, this was a deeply frustrating and unprofessional experience. It's astonishing that a hotel catering to business travelers could neglect such a critical amenity. Management must address this immediately, as it completely undermines the convenience of the location and the expectations of your guests. This level of service is inexcusable.

My group of 20 had an overnight in DPS recently due to a flight delay. The Novotel came to the rescue accommodating us all, providing complimentary upgraded rooms, a delicious buffet dinner, allowing special access to their priority lounge…AND packing up breakfast for us all to take on the plane! Every staff member from reservations via What’s App, to the front office manager, restaurant and lounge staff could not do enough for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and to top it off the location attached to the international terminal, meaning a 5 min walk to check-in is worth every penny! Oh and join Accor for special discounted rates.

This is a large, light and welcoming hotel located within walking distance to Bali Airport, Ngurah Rai, both domestic and international terminals. I had a meet and greet service, provided by a third company (not the hotel), which was an excellent decision for a first time trip to Bali. The meet and greet agent was able to walk with me to the hotel which was very convenient. If you don't have a meet and greet, follow the signs, the hotel is reasonably easy to find.
The rooms are comfortable, the hotel has a great pool, there is great late check out option often available (you might have to pay for this, but it's a convenient facility if needed).
I had mixed experiences in the restaurant. When I arrived in June (2024), it seemed fantastic, and the food delicious at what I thought were good prices. But when I returned before my departure flight in July (2024), I found the restaurant a little underwhelming and very expensive by Indonesian standards. Also the service varied. I like to drink iced water with freshly squeezed lime or lemon juice, with either a little sugar or none at all. The first time I was at the restaurant they were happy to make this for me, it's available at most places across Bali. The second time they said it was impossible, and I had to settle for some fizzy alternative which wasn't nearly as good. The land side area of the domestic airport terminal was, at the time of my stay, relatively easily accessible from the hotel. It had a number of eateries, cafes and restaurants which I might try next time.
The breakfast at the hotel was superb, especially the noodle soups and omelettes.
This Novotel has a large swimming pool which was perfect for swimming after arrival, although it is quite dark and, at the time I was swimming, was unpatrolled.
This is a good, decent hotel, perfect for arrivals and departures from Bali Depansar Airport. I'm staying again this June and July 2025.

As we all know, airport hotels are often filled with guests who are either already exhausted or about to embark on a tiring journey. Since the hotel serves as a place of rest for them, its services should be tailored accordingly.
First and foremost, the hotel should address its overall odor issue. Whether through diffusers or by eliminating the root cause of the smell, more effort should be made to ensure a comfortable environment for guests. The cleanliness of the rooms was acceptable, but the linens on the sofa did not seem entirely clean, as I noticed some visible stains.
Additionally, the toilet paper in the guest rooms should be replaced. The perforations on the two-ply toilet paper do not align properly, making it quite inconvenient to use. Surely, the hotel can provide better-quality toilet paper?
Moreover, in the suite room I stayed in, the toilet was leaking water onto the floor despite not being used. It was an unpleasant experience, possibly due to poor silicone sealing. However, since I was checking out soon, I let it slide. That being said, preventive measures should be in place for such issues. Furthermore, the drainage in the shower booth was not functioning properly, causing water to accumulate.
Aside from these issues, the breakfast and the staff’s friendliness were satisfactory.

Rooms were good - quiet comfortable and well appointed with all the amenities you need. Staff were a bit jaded to be honest, and the food in the premium lounge and breakfast buffet was tasteless and stale. The spa is really good though. Excellent location in the airport but nothing really to walk to to shop or eat at and it costs drivers an additional 10,000k to pick you up from the hotel due to the toll, so I think it’s ideal if you’re a late night transit or day visitor.

This hotel has a convenient location and serviceable rooms if you need something close to the airport for a connecting or late night flight.
That is the only positive in my opinion.
The hotel restaurant “The Square” was the worst dining experience I have had in Bali. We arrived for lunch at 1pm and ordered a meal for our 11month old daughter within 2mins of being seated and then ordered our own meals 10mins later. I followed up my daughters meal after waiting for 30mins and it finally arrived after 45mins, we then followed up our own meals which didn’t arrive till 50 mins after ordering… when we followed up the server said another 5mins as the chef is cooking your noodles?!?! We ordered migoren and lamp chops. The wait was ridiculous for an empty restaurant but the food itself was bland, overcooked and not worth eating. If we were not starving after having been in transit from Ubud and waiting for an hour for meals I would have sent them back and requested a refund - as it was we sure 1/2 the meals but could not finish they were that bad.
So stay for convenience but order food elsewhere - it has put me off Novotel as a chain now following this experience. Such a well known brand providing below par food is not worth visiting.

You can walk from arrivals to the Novotel without leaving the airport proper. Signage is minimal. If you find yourself walking outside the airport, turn around and go back inside. It’s a safe area, so no worries there. Just watch for the signs. The lobby restaurant at Novotel is open 24 hours. Treat yourself after checking in.
There are more places to choose from in the Tuban area.
