Firstly the place is very close to the airport, cheap, nice pool and restaurant (not that I used either), and the staff are extremely friendly and you are given a welcome drink. The place is cheap as I say, but the rooms are very old and not cleaned well. Having a shower felt like I was standing in slime. It is noisy outside particularly when the nearby mosque’s call to prayer bellows at 4:30am. Only recommend if you want an overnighter because you’re moving on the next day.

In Australian standards, think 1 or 2 stars. Fraying towels, disintegrating pillows, noisy A/C, stained toilet bowl.... See attached photos. The internet photos are much better than reality. When you book, make sure it is not a trasition room fee (for 8hrs only) bc it means a room in a different building.

Stayed here for a few hours to rest and shower ahead of my flight home. Requested a ground floor which was convenient. AC was excellent and there was decent hot water. I did spy the beginnings of what looked like black mould on the walls and a small flea type critter on the sheets, however for a few hours of R&R at a place that offers transport to the airport, it's sufficient

I stayed just one night at the Manggur Hotel which is tucked away in a narrow lane. While the address is given as Kuta it is closer to the airport than to central Kuta. It is one of those hotels that is crumbling a bit around the edges but functional and reasonably clean. Everything is a bit shabby with a few broken tiles and cracked paint. The hotel is pretty cheap and surprisingly busy. It was full the night that I stayed and again the following night. The rooms are arranged around a central pool which is surprisingly cool because it is shaded a lot of the time. There is no lift but only 3 stories so not so far to drag luggage and the nice man from reception carried mine up. My room was a reasonable size with queen bed. There was also a good sized balcony looking down on the pool. The room had a safe, fridge and kettle but no hairdryer. The water in the shower was just a bit north of tepid. An a la carte breakfast was included served by the pool. The seating in the pool area was a good place to relax and perhaps work a bit. The wifi was very good. In fact the only thing that I really didn’t like was the 5.00 am call to prayer from the mosque next door. The Manggur is a good budget option as long as your expectations aren’t too high.

Stayed for a night when we arrived. The front desk staff are amazing. The rooms are large and with balcony. 2 of the rooms the ac wasn't working & they managed to change one of the rooms as there were no other available rooms. 3 storeys, no lift/elevator so, if you have movement difficulties, make sure you call/email and ask to book for a room on the ground floor. Restaurant is super-duper slow so, don't eat there if you are in a hurry. The nasi goreng isn't too bad. Very good value for money for a layover. Close to the airport and offers one time free transfer.

We reached Bali close to 9pm and planned to stay somewhere near the airport before our Pick-up to Kintamani next morning. Communication from the start was excellent. Hotel sent an email confirmation for Transfers. Our baggage was slightly delayed but glad the Driver waited for us still. Room was OK with fridge but AC was really not strong at night making us a quite stuffy. Staff were very friendly and smiley.

We checked in at 1am after a delayed flight, and were only staying 1 night until we moved to our first destination. We were picked up by a lovely driver and dropped at the hotel, using the hotel's free airport transfer. We arrived to a very dark and dimly lit hotel in a dark alley, but were greeted by a lovely staff member who helped us to our room, around the tiny gap by the pool and up the stairs with no lights. Once in, we were shocked at how dirty and run down the room was. The air con continued making loud banging noises every 20-30 minutes religiously throughout the entire night, but it was too hot to sleep with it off. After finally arriving, we went to take a shower, to find clumps of hair on the shower wall, and scrunched up tissue balls sitting on top of the rusted and mouldy taps. To top it off, our towels were damp before using them, and covered in chunky brown stains.. One can only guess. The toilet seat was placed on top of the toilet, and not actually connected to the toilet at all, meaning it would fall off when you would turn to get toilet paper. All of the taps were rusted, and moudly, and there was so much dust, mould and rust on every possible surface. The bed was comfortable enough and the sheets appeared clean, however, I was reluctant to pull up the doona and sheets after seeing the state of the towels. There were dead bugs scattered throughout the room, usually stuck in the dusty corners.. it was an uncomfortable night sleep. For the price, we weren't expecting much, and the location and convenient free airport transfer sold us on the room for a 1 night stop over. However, the room was dirty and seemed like it had not been cleaned properly in a very long time. Whilst the ammenities were not expected to be amazing, you still expect a basic level of cleanliness :( The photos are not entirely accurate, but the outdoor areas were more truthful than indoors. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room is quite cheap, however, I would not recommend staying here, unless you are prepared to get no sleep and walk into a dirty room. Such a shame as it is #1 Rated in Kuta.

It is so well placed and quiet but still close to the centre of Tuban Bali. The staff and atmophere are hard to beat a great supermarket Ayu Nadi just up the lane next door, outside evening eating and a conveniences. Th hotel has a great restaurant, the staff are so helpful.

Good hotel near the airport with free shuttle drop-off. Pool is OK, but it gets too much shades as it's in between 2 floors buildings. Staff is friendly, can't tell about the breakfast as we didn't spend the night. Not much to around the hotel, but there are restaurants and even a mall at walking distance.

Pool clean, rooms basic with good beds. Staff very helpful. I'd stay again. The hotel is close to Kubu Segara warung which is the best, closest option for cheap Indonesian food. Breakfast options minimal. Choose a room away from restaurant and away from sunbeds.
