We stayed 5 nights at Posada Don Jaime, making it our initial home base for a 15-day trip to northern Spain. The location was everything I hoped for in terms of convenience to key locales in Castilla y Leon. While there we spent 2 days in town, and also did day trips to Segovia, Avila, and to castles to the...

We have been coming here for the last three years and we love it. Ignacio is the perfect host. Great location. Breakfast of champions. Convenient parking during Holidays in a town where parking is almost imposible. 2 minutes walking from Monasterio del Escorial landmark and downtown.

This small hotel is 100m or so away from the main street, up the hill on which the town has grown, but still close to the Monasterio/Palacio. Very comfortable, inviting; helpful and friendly staff. The hotel has access to secure, cheap parking but on-street parking near by is free and the rods are quiet. Definitely to be recommended.

Wonderful place to stay! So helpful, very pretty, comfortable, and spacious room with lovely modern bath, 2 min walk from El Escorial. Parking on site was a big help too as streets are narrow in the center of this pretty, quiet town.

Don Ignacio, the owner, was ever so attentive and gave us great tips on where to go, what to do, and what not to miss. He went the extra mile always to see to our needs. We were early-no problem, we forgot to ask for parking space- he managed to find us one, came all the way and the monastery...

Thank you to the kind people who work at and own this lovely little hotel. We appreciated the help parking our car in their tight-fitting garage, assistance with luggage, basic but delicious breakfasts outdoors, and personable conversations. Our room, with patio, was clean, comfortable, and spacious, as was the en suite bathroom. Even with the windows open it was quiet...

I like the situation of this charming little hotel just up the hill from the palace/monastery. The owner is very friendly and eager to suggest sights and restaurants. Breakfast outside was simple and delicious. One night here was a perfect beginning to our holiday.

An 8 room hotel with a very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Our room was on an upper floor without a lift, but the girl in charge helped us carry the luggage. Room charming and comfortable if you don't need TV or phone. WIFI works great. Parking needs extra care with larger cars. Breakfast is not expensive though very...

Needed a place to stay at short notice. Had one of the rooms in the attic. Lovely bed, lovely room, lovely bathroom. Centrally placed for El Escorial. Very friendly staff. Didn't eat here as I left the hotel before breakfast was laid out. Very much enjoyed staying here and will be returning.

“We booked a standard room. According to other reviews the upgrades are good but, if you're here to make the most of the area, a standard room is very clean and absolutely fine (and we've stayed in some dodgy rooms in the past so I'm not stating this lightly!).”

“We stayed in room 4 which had doors opening onto a secluded first floor sunlight terrace. (We believe that access was also possible from the room next to us). We stayed during the week. It is probable that weekends are much busier as many people from Madrid stay in the town then.”
