This hotel is located in a private protected area, full of animals, including deers, parrots and crocodiles. Great for animal spotting, or if you want to explore Peten's natural treasures. Our room was big enough and clean. service was great, the food was good and the view particularly pleasant. They have a nice swimming pool which can be used year...

We stayed here on Sagas secrets of the Maya tour. Rooms are basic with a jungle aspect. Priced minbar, no TV or wifi in room. Bathrooms adequate some showers open to the elements. The path to the cabins is dark, poorly lit and through the jungle bring a torch. Meals adequate, good breakfast and dinner ok, no where Seles near...

We stayed here for a couple nights when the hotels in Flores filled up. It was a great hotel with a beautiful location. The rooms were very clean, and the grounds were well kept. The food, both breakfast and dinner, served at the hotel is also quite good.

We stayed at Villa Maya as a base for our trip to Tikal. It is about 20 minutes from Flores airport and 45 minutes drive from Tikal. Flores itself is a good taxi ride away which makes you a bit of a captive audience for the hotel. The rooms are a good size, ours over looked the lake. Swimming pool...

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Tikal. The property is very nice and open. Very well manicured gardens and trails. There is an area near the rooms where there are some Macaws. There is a nice pool near the bar and restaurant. There are about 11-12 building that house the hotel rooms. Each building has 4 rooms. 2...

To start with, we were there for 2 nights. We were assigned room 704, which was a long walk to and from our daily tour bus' location, given that my mom has limited mobility. Management kindly changed us to a bigger and closer room, which was a triple with no extra cost! The food selections were limited, but, homemade and...

Our rooms were quaint and clean. The food in the restaurant was very good, but limited (you are in the middle of nowhere) given the location. There was an abundance of wildlife. The trails could use a little work. Wear mosquito repellent.

Ten years ago my wife and I stopped at this hotel on our way back from our honeymoon and we really liked it. We planned a family vacation in Flores Peten so that our children could finally experience Tikal, Yaxha and Flores. We enjoyed our stay at Villa Maya, the front desk was so friendly and helpful, the installations are...

I agree mostly with other reviews here. The room was comfortable, the shower was very good, the beds a little hard. The pool and trails and grounds were very good and the staff were mostly very good too. I only gave it an average though because we and the other couple we were travelling with found the restaurant and bar...

I stayed 2 nights here so that I could visit Tikal. I have rated it average for the following reasons although others may have had different experiences: - overpowering music in the bar / restaurant area ruined the ambience of being in the jungle - why not let nature provide the backdrop? - food and service were (that word again)...
