Recent renovations make this a great property. There is a great gym on site and the Platinum club serves a great breakfast and dinner. Danny at the lobby bar never disappoints. Great place to stay while in the RGV.

I usually always stay here, the property is authentic McAllen! The new renovated rooms are classy and smart! Hope they bathrooms get re-done too soon. That's the only downer to the refreshed rooms. Lobby and pool are wonderful! Check in was extremely friendly and prompt! Thanks for an nice stay.

This is an older, Spanish style hotel- the service is excellent and the hotel itself is charming. There is a great courtyard- and a very nice bar I was here with the love of my life- so we took advantage of the best restaurant in Mcallen-(- Salt0- which is just across the street There are also food trucks and a...

I easily fell in love with this place as its older Spanish style which took me back many years to my youth in southern California. I found that it was very comfortable and that the dining room on the main floor was quite good.

I had a quick stay but overall they have done a nice job keeping this older hotel up to date. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I had a problem with my room keys 5 times. Up and down to the desk to get them rekeyed. Also the maid service doesn't replace the lotion/shampoo etc after using...

This was my first time in South Texas and I was in town for a friend's wedding. I opted to forgo the official wedding hotel where everyone else was staying so I could have my own little vacation. I also wanted my Marriott points :) My main hotel requirements are a pool and a balcony, and this didn't disappoint. Definitely...

They have done a very nice job with this hotel. The pool area is not fancy but it is ok to hang out around. The rooms are very modern and comfortable the pillows on the bed are terrible. No shape and you can not prop yourself up with them even if you use all four. My room also had a...

My husband and I stayed here on Saturday night while on a short business trip to McAllen. We had never been to this area before, and booked the executive suite to enjoy our little getaway while working. The hotel itself is gorgeous, it is historical-looking but rooms (recently renovated) are very modern in contrast. The beds are comfy and the...

Just entering this beautiful building is a pleasure. The accommodations are nice, and they're in the process of upgrades to brighten them up. The staff members are consistently helpful, cheerful, and kind. My husband and I have stayed here many times over the past few years, and we always enjoy it.

The only place to stay if you frequent the valley for business (or even pleasure). Historic building next to a beautiful park, walking distance to great restaurants and local food trucks, great bar! All of this would be enough but the rooms are going through a renovation and will be getting even better AND.....the staff is second to none!! Dedicated...
