This hotel is a true historical gem. The rooms are small, just as they always were in older times, but they are charming and comfortable. We has a room on the second floor which had a small private porch with fireplace that included an artificial log for us to light in the patio fireplace and sit outside enjoying the cool...

I love this hotel. It predates Marfa's fame as an art world destination and still has all the old world charm of historic western hotels. The Lobby is great and we had a drink at the bar. Looked like they had fabulous burgers. The rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are small, but I really enjoy the old fashion elegance.

We stayed at Hotel Paisano. It had been several years since our previous visit to this hotel. Everything about the hotel was great except the beds. We stayed in the Elizabeth Taylor Suite and I think she might have slept on the same sheets when she was there filming The Giant! The bathrooms were clean and shower was great! The...

Movie buffs that we are, the Hotel Paisano offered us the chance to interact with history – it is the hotel where film stars Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and James Dean stayed while filming the epic “Giant” nearby – so I gave into temptation and booked the Rock Hudson suite as a birthday surprise for my husband. The suite has...

I have stayed in "nostalgic" hotels that could be best described as "less than pleasant." The Paisano was a very good combination of the two. Very nice room and nice staff. The only caveat I would share is the fact that there does not appear to be an elevator. I did over hear the desk clerk offer assistance to carry...

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and each time I've been very happy. The suite rooms are quite spacious and beds extremely comfortable. This is a well maintained older hotel, very clean with lots of charm! I prefer it to many modern properties. The older bathrooms, while not large, are just fine. I don't think there's an elevator...

This is a comfortable and atmospheric hotel. Right in town with friendly staff. But the breakfast is terrible - only premade burritos and coffee that could have been yesterday's dishwater. Go elsewhere for breakfast. We didn't try the St George but would if there is a next time.

Stayed 3 nights during Christmas weekend. We had Room 205, a great suite with private patio, full kitchen, nice seating room and a bedroom with a comfy king bed and spacious bathroom. The architecture of this lovely vintage hotel is worth the stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff were more than accommodating and friendly. We chose this hotel...

Stayed for one night while on the way to Big Bend - it is a beautiful old hotel. The sister to the El Capitan in Van Horn. The stain glass in the rooms are gorgeous! The only downside is some of the furniture is a little worn and there is no elevator. It is only 2 stories but for those...
