Carolyn and I had absolutely the most delightful stay in this bed and breakfast inn. We enjoyed the peaceful serenity of this well appointed, very comfortable log style home. We enjoyed our morning coffee and afternoon tea in the screened porch, where we looked over the beautiful scenery of this working farm. Chris and Bob were warm and accomodating. They made us feel at home while introducing us to various rescued members of the farm such as Arnold the pig and Billy, the goat.
Once we arrived at the B&B we were so pleased with our room. The B&B side of the land is a small ranch style log home. Two bedrooms/one on left side, one on right. Center is kitchen/dining room/living room. Very open and roomy. Sleep number beds. We did have "suite mates" but rarely saw them as their schedule was very different from ours. We were greeted by Bob (his other half Chris was away at a family function) and shown to our bed for the evening. The next morning when Chris brought our breakfast (continental, but table set and beautifully presented) and mentioned if we wanted to take the pathway up to their home, we were welcome. Once she mentioned birds and animals...I was enrapt. So heading out, Wellies on, I first came upon individually housed macaws and cockatoos. Then dove. Then goats, potbellies, rabbits, horses, donkeys. Complete surprise and 4 hours later after greeting and getting to know each animal, I retired for a nap before our family wedding. Chris and Bob made us feel like family, and I walked away with more knowledge about critters than I knew before.…
Beautiful! The house is a 2 bedroom, with large bedrooms. It has window seats & is nicely decorated. A very comfortable B&B. There are several fountains and ponds. Plenty of horses, donkeys, geese, swans & ducks. Very peaceful here. The breakfast was warm homemade banana nut bread, fresh fruit salad with yogurt dipping sauce, fresh squeezed orange juice all delivered to the house this morning. Also hot coffee and/or tea is available. We will definitely be back at least once a year! Don't let this hidden gem escape you. Thank you to the innkeeper, Christina for making our special day extraordinary.
