Grab bars at the toilet and tub are the bare minimum for a handicap room. A "comfort height" toilet is a necessity. A roll in shower is ideal for those of us with orthopedic problems, but again grab bars are absolutely essential.
None of these items were in place. Please do not advertise or offer a handicap room again until these changes are made.
The room was clean and reasonably comfortable. The bed was new and firm. The parking lot right outside our door was very noisy - the door could be better insulated.

The TV didn’t connect to the network - front desk informed “it happens all the time” - walked me through their ~10 minute procedure...unplug TV (move furniture to access) for 60 seconds/ plug back in/ locate controls on side of TV with flashlight / not sure which HDMI source it is, but try them individually / get it back online / move furniture back.
Upon entering old, stained bathtub, the drainage is much slower than the shower flow rate so you’re standing in a pool of soapy water by the time you’re finished. Front desk stated “when we have lots of guests, the drainage does get slow.”
The in-room safe was inoperative. Carry your valuables with you.
The furniture is beyond worn. It appears that the particle board “crumbs” at the deteriorating base of the chest of drawers/TV stand are out of reach by the vacuum and, consequently, accumulate there.
The room has a couple very worn outlet adapters to accommodate more plug-in devices. The non surge-protected adapters are so worn, many don’t securely hold the plugs in place - not good for devices or fire safety.
On the upside, the old in-room AC/heat unit worked well but it was incredibly loud.
Front desk stated “this is one of our best rooms.” That’s alarming.
Nice people at front desk - just working with a property that has been neglected for far too long.
