The Resurgence is in a beautiful setting with stunning views all around and natural New Zealand vegetation. We stayed in the Kiwi Saddle Chalet with the separate bath house tree setting overlooking the valley and mountains. Chalet is designed with local cedar and has beautiful oak floors, fireplace, elegant rustic details, a kitchen and deck with gas grill. The room...

We thought the Resurgence was the most special place we have ever stayed in. With friendly hosts catering for our every need including a non-dairy diet at dinner. We stayed in one of the lodges which we found well equipped, clean and comfortable. It seemed very high spec. for a wooden lodge in the middle of the bush! We enjoyed...

We have traveled to many places and this is one of the most memorable. Peter and Clare are excellent lodge keepers and make everyone feel welcome. The Resurgence is clean and gorgeous with beautiful views and architecture. The cuisine is delicious. You won't regret staying at this special place.

This destination has to be experienced to be be believed, We stayed in one of the lodges and just loved the whole experience. You are totally surrounded by stunning scenery, with access to fabulous walks. We did a wonderful full day boat trip to the stunning Able Tasman national park and saw loads of wildlife including baby penguins and stunning...

There are four rooms in the main lodge, three separate chalets and three separate lodge stand-alone suites. The theme is rustic but the accommodations are very modern and well appointed. The Bush Lodges have kitchenettes with great outdoor terraces and a barbecue on the terrace. The landscape is lush and filled with birds and delightful bird song. One of the...

Peter and Clare have carved out little piece of paradise for their guests. Pride of ownership is what comes to mind when I think of the Resurgence...Super service, clean well maintained rooms, great food, and nice public areas. Everything we needed for our holiday, they had thought of...gym, nice pool, well stocked kitchen. Whenever we asked for help with directions...

We stayed at the Resurgence for two nights while on a 3 week Australia and New Zealand trip. It was a real highlight of our entire trip. We stayed in a one bedroom chalet, coincidentally the same one used by the stars of the Hobbit movie, which filmed nearby. The setting is beautiful, and the chalet just lovely, with every...

We chose the Resurgence as a convenient stay whilst we got married in the Abel Tasman resort. It was wonderful. The accommodation was to an extremely high standard and very comfortable to relax and pass the days and as a special treat after we were married. Peter and Clare were extremely accommodating and offered assistance if we needed it. The...

After a long day of driving, we were so pleasantly surprised to arrive at the Resurgence. What an incredible, peaceful setting, although a bit remote. We had two bush chalets and found them both very comfortable, with an exceptional bathroom and luxurious linens. Whimsical touches like a stuffed kiwi on the bed, and a jar of jelly beans were unexpected,...

I struggle to best describe our experience as overall it was very pleasant – beautiful setting in the hilly, green, quiet corner of New Zealand close to the wonderful Abel Tasman park, friendly hosts, lovely afternoons on the porch with the glass of local wine, nothing to do and nowhere to rush to. But few things linger in memory that...

I am sorry that we fell short of delivering the perfect experience for you. Our style is different to other 'luxury' Bed & Breakfasts. We are set in 50 acres with abundant bird-life, hikes and hand-crafted suites that are very thoughtful of the things that travellers need - wifi, washing, herbs, gladwrap etc etc but we don't have 42" TVs...
