We stayed at The Shores while visiting my daughter who lives in Austin. After reading some of the reviews, we were very worried about the conditions. The unit we stayed in had newer carpet and updated bathrooms. It only has one real closet in the 2nd bedroom. The deer in the area provided entertainment for the children in our group....

Lagos Vista is a quiet secluded location tucked away in the Texas hills. It was such a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The scenery was spectacular. I'm already planning my return trip. The office staff was welcoming and friendly.

We picked this resort because of the nearness to a place we had to do some business and decided to make a vacation out of it. The only nice parts in our unit were the bathrooms. The counters were gouged and stained. The carpets dirty and the furniture was beyond disgusting. I dropped a piece of popcorn on the couch...

Lago Vista is a really nice place to stay. It was our first time there. The staff was very friendly and so helpful. We got great advice about local restaurants and maps and advice for our day trips. It was quiet and relaxing.

Reasons not to stay here: 1. Stained carpets that look like a murder scene. 2. 30 year old counter tops filled with years of abuse and deep gashes. 3. Ugly brown hollow core doors with holes punched in them. 4. Toilet paper and tissue that feel like sandpaper. 5. Spotty internet at best, available less than 50% of the time....

We stayed there in the middle of winter. The staff was accommodating and we were in one of the remodeled units so it was comfortable and acceptable. For two couples or a family with kids the fact that at least most units have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus a full kitchen might be a big plus. Other than that,...

13 thru 20 Jan. 2017 stay. Unit we stayed in had two bedrooms & two bathrooms - master bed (queen size bed with firm mattress, but thin pillows) with attach bathroom; jetted tub extremely old (1970 or 80's) very small, one sink with big mirror but no shower. Second bedroom had two twin firm beds; very small space to enter...

We stayed here for a week as part of a vacation club. Check in was quick and the receptionist very helpful with any questions. The units were clean and nice enough, but were very dated. Everything worked without any problems. The décor of the unit was typical Southwestern, with much of the furniture and furnishings handcrafted heavy wood. It was...

Beautiful secluded quiet lake-side setting in Texas hill country with pool, wifi, friendly staff. Lots of deer to feed and boat rental on the lake. Only a few minutes drive to supermarket, restaurants, drug store, etc.

I will start with the good: -The staff was very friendly, if not always correct with their information or on the same page. -Cool to see all the friendly deer. -Can pick up clean towels from the office when needed Now for the bad: -Rooms are in dire need of upgrading. -Sofa had rips, carpet dirty -It looks like it...
