This hotel is above and beyond top notch! From check in to departure, everyone at The Houstonian wants to ensure you are enjoying your stay. We decided to book a weekend because of the Clay Court Championships at River Oaks and it was a perfect combination of tennis watched and played at the health club. Jonathon at the pool bar...

I love this hotel! The Houstonian is a great escape. The rooms are large and the bed is so comfortable. The hotel is in a park-like setting and as a guest, you are given access to an amazing health and fitness club. Room service was delicious and staff are attentive. I have also been a part of several meetings in...

The Houstonian Hotel provides a lovely setting for a visit to Houston. It is in a park like setting so tranquil and wooded that one cannot believe its location in the middle of Houston. Yes, the bathrooms are quite small but otherwise the rooms are beautiful and the views are largely of the woods from the windows. We were not...

Spent three nights; hotel service is very good; well-staffed; the pool, bar, health club, etc. facilities are very crowded and busy had to wait in line for quite a bit to check in and check out for services at Trellis Spa- that could be better staffed; felt I was WAY overcharged for a simple shampoo and blowout; had the same...

The Houstonian seems to be an older hotel, but well-kept and has a lot of character. Our room (a Deluxe, with king-sized bed) was spacious and included a sofa/chair seating area along with what seemed like a larger than normal king-sized bed that was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was unexpectedly very small, but filled with L'Occitane toiletries, which made up...

There is truly something for everyone here. From the moment we pulled up to the front door & were offered valet parking, baggage to our room, etc until our departure, it was outstanding. Housekeeping staff was super! Good meals & great service in the Olivette. Quick snack in the Center Court Grill. Just wish the walking track had been open--...

I never would have believed that this treasure was in the city. Surrounded by trees and flowers and greenery. It was stunning. I was a beautifully kept hotel the staff were friendly and inviting. I wouldn't want to stay any where else!

We returned to the Houstonian for a second time. Glad we did; the location is super convenient and the service is very friendly. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are a little dated. I would recommend it, though, if you are looking for something more interesting than a Holiday Inn Express. It's very "Houston!"

With kids, it's not always practical to fly out of town for Spring Break. Every person in our family had a blast. Kids brought tennis racquets, basketballs and bathing suits. We thought they might want to get off property but they didn't. They had a blast from arrival to departure. Rock climbing, heated pools, plenty of food options and mom...
