I stayed for 3 nights in May 2011. With a busy schedule of business and pleasure, I liked coming and going as I pleased. The homey conditions of this B&B are very relaxing, and the creative decorating has great whimsy. JS

I'm diabetic and Robin bent over backwards to meet my dietary needs. She seemed to really care about my well being...and it was greatly appreciated.

My wife and I checked out after a few hours. The room smelled of sewer gas after a brief excursion to local attraction after checking in. The owner who supposedly lives on-site was not available and calls to the home went to voice mail. The housekeeper answered our voice mail with a phone call from across town and noted that...

I am so sorry this guest had an unsatisfactory experience with my bed and breakfast of 20 years. Our business plan and our hearts are centered on our guests, and we would never, ever, be casual about their well being.. My Assistant Innkeeper, who does not live on the property, as do I, was unable to get in touch with...

My friend found this place just a couple of blocks from his house and I looked it up and booked online hoping that it would be ok. Not only was it ok, it was awesome, it exceeded my expectations completely. Our apartment was super clean and comfortable and we even had our own thermostat to the room which is great...

This was our first time staying at Robin's Nest. We wanted a nice place to stay for our getaway to Houston for the weekend. The place has a very unique and quirky quality to it that we absolutely loved. We told our friends about it and they're wanting to try them out the next time they're in town. Place was...

We stayed in Linda Lee's Townhouse - located in a separate building - during the Final Four. We were looking for something private and quiet, and our place fit the bill perfectly. It was very clean and spacious. It was conveniently located near public transportation, and we took the Metro everywhere we went. We also enjoyed the going to the...

Pros: Nice people, nice location, allows pets, open kitchen, decent decor Cons: On street parking and bugs. I personally hate spiders and there were little ones all over the bathroom and the common kitchen. Granted it is Texas in Spring and these things happen however it could have been taken care of a little better. I personally live in Texas...

I appreciate and welcome this review. I' m compelled to introduce balance into their opinion regarding street parking and bugs. We love the business (20 years) and our business plan and our hearts are centered around our guests and the "hardware" of Robin's Nest.. 1. Street parking. We are in the 4th, soon to be 3rd, largest city in the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Robin's Nest consists of three houses setting side by side (The Big Nest, an 1890 Victorian Farm house; The Little Nest, a 1920s Craftsman, and the Third Nest, a 1938 Southern Saltbox), in Houston's Museum and Arts District, also called Montrose; adjacent to downtown Houston and the Texas Medical Center. We serve a full or continental breakfast. We were voted Audience Winner by Citisearch and best B & B in Houston by Houston Press. We welcome children and pets. The rules are the same: We ask that they be clean, groomed, pest free, and well behaved. Several suites are suitable for long term stays. Robin created Robin's Nest in 1990 after another Houston oil bust. There have been numerous articles on the Inn, among them The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Houston Post, Houston Chronicle, Texas Monthly, Southern Living, Houston Press. Come see us in the heart of Houston. You are welcome. ... more   less
