The Reef used to be a half way decent place. No, things never worked and housekeeping was the pits. I never stayed again, after my last visit in 1999. Unit #110 on the West end, 1st floor was the only unit half way CLEAN! The place had really gone down hill at that time. Hurricane Ike covered The Reef...after the...

I would like to know where these people got the photo of the room they posted on the internet. IT WAS SCARY!! We went to Walmart and bought our own sheets for the bed. The floors creaked, it smelled liked someone had been chain smoking in there for a year. They looked like old run down apartments. We couldnt even...

We stayed for two days. Its nothing fancy but it was clean and quiet. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Towels are cheap so bring your own. You basiclly get what you pay for. If your looking for a place to stay that wont break the bank, very close to all beach activities, this is it. I didnt see...

I stayed at the Reef with my mother 6-7-6-12-2006 and the accommodations are terrible. We we arrived the furniture in our room had foam coming out of it and ants had built and nest in it. The stove only had one burner working and maintenance never came to fix it even after a work order was put in. There are...

My husband I and our 2 small grandchildren spent two nights at the Reef and if I had had any other options for housing I would have taken them. The place is disqustinly filthy and worn out. When we first arrived we attempted to walk out on our patio and couldnt get the door open enough to do so. So...

We went to The Reef Resort for our first visit to Galveston, TX for the Memorial Day Weekend We chose that place as it was the only place that would allow dogs and it looked very nice on their website. Some might be saying that the fact that they allowed dogs meant it was not a very`clean place though we've...

The only thing remotely nice about this place was the nice lady who worked nights and the other nice lady that worked Saturday morning. The number that they give you AND post on everything, is a number to reach a guest only, and a beeper number, to call and you're supposed to get a response in "30 Minutes", yeah right!...

We stayed at the resort for 4 days. It was very clean. We were able to take our boxer (who weighs 100 pounds) and had no problems whatsoever. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Ok folks! Just got back from Galveston where we stayed a few nights here. The only thing clean was the pool and the housekeeping service, well lets stay - NOTHING! We should have known something when we couldn't check in until an hour after normal check-in because the housekeeping service could clean in time. The only thing that kept us...
