We came to this B&B for our anniversary getaway and had a great time! The only bed and breakfast we’ve been to that does a family style breakfast. We enjoyed bonding with other guests and enjoying our food at the same time. Walking distance to...More

Thank you Amber, so glad you and Anthony enjoyed your stay, know I certainly did - it was a pleasure getting to know you. We hope to see you another time, and good luck with the Henry and Hattie!
This was my husband and I first time staying at a bed and breakfast. We really enjoyed our weekend, the owner and the cook Karen was so nice and friendly. We stayed in the Elissa room which was very nice. The amenities that was included...More

We had the pleasure of spending a couple of nights at the Lost Bayou Guest House, it was very charming and Dave was a great host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in the Galveston area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lost Bayou. It is an historic house built in circa 1890. The old house is a survivor of the early 1900's hurricane and literally floated away. It was professionally relocated and secured on its original foundation somehow during...More

Thank you very much for your inquiry. We have several balconies with sitting areas but they are all common areas. We don't have any rooms with private balconies. In regards to the Oleander Room, the bathroom at one time had a curtain but we have made slight changes to the room. The bathroom now has a door. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We hope we can be of service to you when you visit Galveston Island.

Thank you for your inquiry. We have a special arrangement with the Galveston Railroad Museum to provide complimentary parking for our guests going on cruises. The parking lot at the museum is secured. It has a chain link fence around it and it is just off the Museum entrance. During the day there is activity at the museum and at the parking lot. But it is not patrolled. We have been using that parking lot for our guests for the past 2 1/2 years and we have not had any problems.
We serve a full breakfast family style each morning. The breakfast generally consists of fresh fruit, a hot breakfast entrée, pastries along with juices and coffee. Our guests can also enjoy complimentary hot/cold beverages and snacks, including fresh baked sweets, throughout the day in our hospitality room.
Regarding your husband diet, we can accommodate any food restrictions. Please give us a list of the items that he can't eat and we will adjust his breakfast accordingly.
Please contact us directly if you have additional questions or if we may be of help. We appreciate your questions and look forward to your stay with us in April.
