We loved staying here and we will do so again.. To us it seemed like these cabins were quintessential Fredericksburg: Western themed with tastefully done interiors to go along with the funky art around the property, It was very quiet and we loved hearing the rainfall on the roof both inside the cabin and outside on the front porch. I...

My husband and I have stayed at Barons several times. We stayed in the Georgian and one of the log cabins. First, the log cabin, it was mid December, when we pulled up at night, there were Christmas lights! I almost cried! The cabin was perfect, well behaved dogs are allowed and mine had a great stay and therefore so...

My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights back in Sept 2012 when visiting his family in Texas. We stayed in the Swiss Log Cabin-Interlaken. The cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. There's a small "kitchen area" equipped with most everything you'll need (silverware, glasses/mugs, plates, bottle opener, microwave, fridge), short of a stove/burner. The bed was a...

I took my girlfriend this past weekend (7/26) for a surprise weekend getaway to Fredericksburg. We live in the Dallas area, and had both heard such good things about this little town. We took highway 281 south of Ft. Worth all the way down to Fredericksburg, rather than fight the I-35 traffic. The drive this way is awesome, with many...

We were looking for a quiet place to get away from the hustle-and-bustle of work and "city life" and Baron's was just right. Being there in the off season, it was particularly quiet (I think there was perhaps only one other cabin occupied in the three days we were there). Great for long, quiet walks along the river. Being close...

The location, on the edge of town, feels much more remote. Yet the proximity to down town (~5 minutes) makes it easy to take advantage of several great local restaurants. The climate is warm but tolerable in the summer due to low humidity - at least is feel that way for those of us from the Gulf coast. The bed...

While this is a nice place to stay, I was disappointed that what I booked thinking it was a bed and breakfast turned out to not serve breakfast. Otherwise I would rate this a 5. The cottage was roomy and clean, the bed comfortable, and the location superb.

Dear guest, thank you very much for your review and giving us a 5 *. I am sorry that you expected us to be a "traditional" B&B which we are not. We are much more a very private vacation village where each cabin and house is either equipped with a very complete kitchenette including: Coffee maker, toaster oven, fridge microwave...

This was our second visit to the Creek and it reaffirmed our first impression of the cabins. This is a unique and beautiful setting if you are looking for a place to get away from your daily routine. We have stayed in a one room accommodation (Wasserfall) and the top hill chalets combined (Sunrise & Sunset). The cabins provide all...

We had the best time here!!!! Our cabin was wonderful!!! The grounds are so much fun. Much to look at and explore. Daniel is the best. We sat in the rocking chairs outside with a cool breeze having a lemon drop, with a million stars in the sky. The jetted tub was nice after a long day of shopping. The...

My husband and I stayed at Barons Creekside with my family before we make the big move to Singapore in July. I truly had no idea what to expect when we pulled in, but all of our expectations have been BEYOND exceeded. We stayed in the Sunrise and Sunset cottages, and never once felt cramped or uncomfortable. The cottages are...
