We loved staying in the converted 1800s barn. It was being in the country, but only 5 minutes out of town center. So peaceful and quiet, sitting outside for coffee in the morning, using the walking paths on the property, watching the sunset in the porch swing. The beds were so comfortable, and with rain on the roof....couldn't be any...

Six families (15 people) met here to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. It was a great choice. David, the owner, gave us four cabins together that formed a little compound. We brought two long tables and our own chairs and had dinner outside each evening under the stars. (We brought things that just required heating up in the oven. It...

This place was great! So beautiful and peaceful. We loved every minute of our stay. And the best part was that they are dog friendly!

I've been to Fredericksburg many a times including a week there to escape Hurricance Ike, and Settler's Crossing is hand down the most unique, coolest place there especially if you want to be in the middle of everything. Middle of everything you are a couple of miles to all of the following; downtown, the bat tunnel, lukenbach, wildlife seed farm,...

Our family of four (2 guys, 2 gals) stayed in the Von Heinrich Home and absolutely fell in love with this magical place! As soon as you cross over the stoned-arch bridge, you take a step back in time. A time when life was much more peaceful, slower paced, and certainly more family oriented. The owners are very respectful of...

I booked my second stay at Settler's Crossing for a girls retreat and all of us had an amazing time! The quality of both service and accomodations were equal to my first trip a few months prior. We stayed in the Pioneer cabin and were blown away by how spacious and comfortable it was. Not only was the cabin beautifully...

Superb! If you want quiet, and desire to stay in a frontier-style cabin or farmhouse only 7 minutes from Fredericksburg and 10 minutes from Luckenbach, then this is the place to choose! With deer, donkeys, sheep and a couple of outdoor cats guarding the grounds, it's as peaceful a place you'll find in the area. Choice of different styles and...

We arrived at 9pm to the Kusenberger Cabin and it was 90 degrees. It took quite awhile to cool it off. There were bugs in the bathtub and a nasty looking spider that was alive. There was dust on the window sills and the light above the bathroom sink was out. I called the next day and they replaced it...

I am sorry about the cleanliness issue. We had just finished replacing the bath tub and shower and the workers did not clean up as well as they should have. I am sure the spiders were associated with the house being open for days during construction. We spray on a regular basis to control all bugs As for the food,...
