Stayed here for one night. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The room itself is quite lovely and has recently been renovated. The small details in the room were what made me enjoy my stay. Will definitely stay here again in future. Room service was prompt and menu items were pretty standard. Nothing incredible or outstanding from the hotel restaurant, but...

My husband had a business trip to Dallas, so I decided to grab our 2 small children and tag along. This isn't exactly a hotel for kids, but everyone was very sweet to them and made them feel welcome. The rooms were beautiful and modern. We picked the hotel for its proximity to the Park Cities and convenience to where...

Love the modern decor, valet parking, nice pool and restaurant. Bellboy helped with bags and rooms are wonderfully appointed. The mini bar is overpriced in the room and putting out a water bottle marked 5$ is ludicrous - either offer it for free or put it in the minibar. Other than that, all good.

Love the Lumen. I stayed there more than ten times in the last three years. I look forward to visiting Dallas. The hotel is chic, and friendly. the staff is very eager to please and help. The restaurant, the Front Room has an excellent menu and wines. In the morning fresh delicious coffee and the NY Times. At five o'clock...

We stayed here on a Wednesday night in February on an impromptu trip to Dallas. We booked a standard king room at about 6:30 p.m. over the phone, and were given a suite upgrade since it was last-minute. The hotel was easy to find and valet service very quick ($22 charge). The location right by the SMU campus and Highland...

We were excited to stay at Hotel Lumen because we are big fans of Kimpton hotels. Overall we decided to stay here because the property is so close to the event we were attending. I will start off by saying that nothing here was wrong or terrible...it just lacked the 'extra' something that most Kimpton hotels offer. 1) Arrival: we...

I've been staying at the Lumen off and on for the past year and a half. The staff ALWAYS goes out of their way to make me feel at home even while on the road. It has been an absolute pleasure to stay there.

Totally loved the Lumen. The staff at the front desk were so friendly and helpful from the minute we checked in to the time we checked out. The lady on front desk (Jazzelyn?) even went out of her way to help us try to get tickets to tour AT&T stadium, even letting me use her own mobile phone to call....

This is a lovely small hotel centrally located near some of the best Dallas neighborhoods. Smartly decorated with some nice design elements. The restaurant has the BEST food...that is the most impressive part of the hotel. Please be advised that the hotel, like most Kimpton properties, is a remodeled old hotel. We were disappointed when we checked in and they...

Dear designtravel2014, Thanks for the great comments and I agree, Justin is a superstar! Glad he was able to make this a great experience. Sorry about the pool experience...we are still working through the new structure and timing of when we can open it. Next time, I'll be sure to provide a complimentary night of parking. Best, Mike
