This hotel is unique , it has so much charm and transports you back to the good old days. Without doubt this was my best experience of my vacation and after 10 hotels and 1800 miles touring Texas it had a lot to beat . ps i love the trains x

We were married here one year ago and were the first to do so since its renovating by the current owners. Decided to celebrate our first anniversary here and enjoyed every minute of our visit town and all.

This is my second time staying at the Koch. I love it and will stay there again. The bed is comfortable. The room was clean. And the price, for a charming B&B in a pretty area, can't be beaten. The breakfasts are hearty and the innkeepers, Hilo and Candy are lovely. Other reviews mentioned the trains, but I think the...

Great breakfast and very friendly owners. Neat old hotel. Trains run frequently during the night. YOU WILL NEED EARPLUGS unless you are deaf. There is a lot to like about this place. Still, there needs to be a bit of upkeep done. Very good value, though, especially considering breakfast, which is included.

We stayed at the Koch Hotel because we needed a place outside San Antonio on the way to Big Bend National Park. I was lucky to find this online as the other options were a couple of chain hotels. The property is clean and well furnished in a way that compliments the setting. I have two complaints. 1. We were...

The date of stay was July 10th of 2015. Prior to our arrival the owner contacted us by phone and was asking our arrival time. She gave us the code to the front door and told us to make ourselves at home. Upon our arrival she was at the BB and was finishing up freshening up our room. The BB...

We arrived at the Koch Hotel with a pass key for the front door. Having been astonished after seeing it up close and personal, once in we were blown away by it character and beauty. Due to a circumstantial situation we had the place to our selves for our wedding and just loved the "at home" feeling it gave us....

A most enjoyable experience! I look forward to staying there again someday and have already sent hotel contact info to other family and friends. I grew up in D'Hanis but was only inside the front door once as a little kid. So this was a treat to finally get to see the inside, step back in time and hear the...

Very comfortable...even the trains going by at night. Owners allowed us to have the house to ourselves and said to make ourselves at home. We did. Beds comfortable. Candy is a delightful host and truly a one person Chamber of Commerce for the D'Hanis area!

We ended up staying for one night as a last minute solution.....It was probably the best hotel stay ever for us both: wonderful original charming rooms, the claw-foot tub, everything was spotless clean and to top it all off a great home cooked breakfast with the owners..... this place was build people getting of the trains over 100 years ago...
