Detailed Reviews
Spent seven nights in this absolute beach front apartment at Kings Beach Caloundra. We had a two bedroom two bathroom apartment with a large kitchen, dining area and lounge all open plan. We enjoyed 180 degree views of the ocean with its constant changes. We were entertained by watching many ships either heading to Brisbane or leaving. The large cruise liners were majestic and only about 1km off shore . The apartment was close to coffee shops and restuarants and the surf beach. I would love to see the apartment given a facelift. The manager Tony was very helpful and made sure we were comfortable . Looking forward to a return visit .

We stayed the week over Christmas and found the bookings process, apartment, location, parking, service - everything to be fantastic. It was clean, linen provided, enough kitchen equipment, to make life easy. Really close to wood fired pizza and cafes, quiet location and very short walk to the beach. Highly recommended! Thanks Tony

We stayed in Gaze Away unit 10 next door which is looked after by Campbells Cove manager Tony. The booking process was super easy - thanks Tony! Unit was big and spacious. Amazing views of King's Beach and the ocean from the lounge, master bedroom and balcony. Leave the security door locked and wake to the waves crashing in - brilliant. The unit has a lockable garage with roller door too. Comfy bed. Great shower. Perfect location with a great little café 50m up the road, surf club and big salt water swimming pool practically below and King's Beach just beyond that. Can stroll along the boardwalk around to other restaurants and shops. This unit is just a winner all round. Enjoy!

The manager Tony is fantastic- really friendly and cannot do enough to make sure your stay in enjoyable. We stayed at Number 18 next door at Gaze Away (this unit is still managed through Campbell's Cove), which is a fantastic apartment with modern appliances and the best view on Kings Beach! Amazing views of the shipping channel and Kings Beach.

Tried to book an apartment for a couple months from now as in the past we haven't booked soon enough and miss out on a room and they said "We don't take bookings in advance, call last minute" ...pretty stupid if you ask me

Sorry for your confusion. We definitely and regularly take bookings up to 12 months in advance, but just not for one or two night weekend stays. In fact most of our bookings are made a year in advance when guests rebook for the same time.

For any Queenslanders looking for somewhere to stay for the June/July school holidays, the apartments here are lovely! I believe it's often booked up by people who return each year, but there may be some vacancies this year, if people from other states can't make it... The prices are incredibly reasonable for the views!
We stayed in unit 8 last year and can't wait to return again this year! The view from the main bedroom and as you walk out into the living area is just amazing as the water and the horizon just stretches out before you, with Kings Beach (and sunsets) to the right and glorious sunrises to the left. There's always something to see - swimmers at the beach, kayakers, container ships, sometimes a cruise ship (although there won't be any of those at the moment!!)
It's in a great location for walking - not far to Shelly Beach off to the left (about 15 min), there are coffee shops (and gelato) at the opposite end of Kings Beach, and for a bit more exercise to walk off the gelato, it's a lovely walk around to Bulcock Beach (and more cafes and gelato!). It's a fair way to the nearest Woolworths and Coles (not easily walkable, unless you're wanting a good hike!), but there is a quite well-stocked IGA in a street back from the main street at the top of town. We did our main grocery shop at Woolworths, and then picked other things up as we needed them at the IGA and the beautifully fresh fruit'n'veg shop in the same complex. The IGA is about a 20 minute walk - and mostly along the back streets (and a little bit hilly!), not along the water :-( but still beats having to take the car out if you only need a few things that you can easily carry.
The manager, Tony, is very helpful and on the ball with any maintenance issues that may arise - the light in the family bathroom blew when we were there last year, and he replaced it that day. Linen is provided, with a change of linen after a week.
There isn't a lot of space in the kitchen to use as a pantry space, but we moved a few things and also used a cupboard in the laundry (which is just off the kitchen area, so still convenient). For anyone looking for Home Beautiful decor with a wow factor, I don't know that these units will do that for you (probably not unit 8, at least), but the wow factor for me comes from what is outside the unit's full length windows! And the furniture is perfectly comfortable, and serviceable.
We are counting down the days until we can go back!
