The facilities at Merrima Court were excellent. Managers Malcolm and Kerrie were very helpful and quick to take care of our requests. The security is excellent both for the under-cover car parking and for the use of lift and units. We had a 3 bedroom unit with bathroom and ensuite. The kitchen was very well equipped with dishwasher, microwave and oven. We had beautiful views of nearby Kings Beach from our balcony. We had the option of the use of a baby Weber barbecue which was delivered to our balcony. Our bed was very comfortable and there were reverse cycle air-conditioners throughout and fans in two of the bedrooms. There is a lovely pool on the lowest level.

Excellent apartment, great views of the beach from the balcony. Comfy beds, well set up unit, except no bedside lamp in twin room. The shower & vanity really need updating, shower rose spurted water every which way & had no exhaust fan. Loved the fact that we had a garage, security was good to the premises.

The video in the internet is very well done. It makes it look much more stylish than it really is. Wasn't happy with a dicusting dirty dishwasher filter. Hubby cleaned it because he doesn't like to complain. The toiletries are very scabby. It also said they are serviced apartments which is false. One role of toilet paper for 5 nights. It's in a good spot apart from the path out near the driveway is not good if you have anyone with mobility issues. Wouldn't go again.

Apartment 4/12 Merrima Avenue- don’t be fooled. Shabby and grubby. We chose the ground floor due to health reasons so we were not expecting a view. Apartment was grubby (surface cleaned but boy oh boy, it needs a proper clean). I cleaned it upon arrival. No table to sit at for meals(only kitchen bench)minimal kitchen equipment. Couch had holes in it(apparently waiting to be repaired, we were there 4 weeks and never happened). Outdoor furniture just about falling apart. Was a mop supplied but couldn’t do much with it. Positives - great location near beach and cafes. Air conditioning worked well.

We are staying across the road at a fabulous apartment with a lovely ocean view. Unfortunately merrima apartments yesterday installed a glaring screen on the side of their building right in front of us. It is impossible to enjoy the ocean view with the glare of their advertisements in the corner of my eye

The managers were friendly and nice. Good location for Kings Beach. We had booked 5 nights, only stayed 4, wanted to leave after 1. Apartment 5 was old, tired, stains on walls, old AC, found a lot of dirty plates, cutlery, had a funny smell about it. Pool was not heated, cold. Won't be staying there again. Wished we'd stayed Moffats beach, but nicer feel that side of town.

After having a very bad experience from a resort the manager at Merrimack saved the day by giving us accommodation the next day at the start of school holidays. We couldn’t park on site because the wheelchair car was too high for the garage. Finding street parking was horrendous and there was no alternative. The mobility scooter was fine getting in and out of the apartment. We spent our time out enjoying markets and the beach etc, however, at the apartments we all felt like every move we made was being watched. The apartment was old but clean and fully equipped, service dogs are welcome, there was enough space for all of us. We just felt that every move we made was watched/monitored by the manager.

No toilet paper, shower water backed up (we were on 3rd floor), table filthy, utensils filthy, duct tape on electrical outlet, mold on bathroom ceiling, fly wire screen torn on balcony security door, no subtitles on television, place is very tired and run down and needs a good overhaul!

In the past we have not been totally computer savvy as far as being on twitter, facebook, and tripadvisor. However its because of people like this person, who wrote this horrible review that we have moved forward and joined the computercomment generation, so we thank you for your horrible review. Most people would know, that it doesn't matter what you do for some people, that 1 in 1000 people are going to find fault. Well, this was the 1 in 1000. I will not belittle myself or this property by disagreeing with their comments. I will however actively ask future guests to think about placing a comment on tripadvisor, facebook, last minute site, whatever, about their stay at Merrima Court Holidays, in full knowlege that 999 people enjoy themselves here and therefore good, great, and even fantastic comments will eventually appear, thus countering the 1 in 1000 minority that we all hear about, who like to be heard and gets kicks out of making people feel as bad as them.

The room was completely different from the pictures. The furniture is old furniture you would see out for collection on yearly rubbish collection day. The table and chairs were sticky and heavily scratched. In addition, there were scratches all over the mugs, all the amenities were poor quality, and the manager specifically warned us to take care when using items and to make sure not to break anything. I am not sure why there was this strict warning, there's honestly nothing of value to break. There was a single air conditioner in the living room, the range was approximately 1.5 metres. The positioning of our room meant there was no air travelling trough at all in the three rooms- the fan literally moved at snail pace in one room and in another it was completely broken. This meant that we couldn't sleep at all during the night, especially given the humid, sticky weather. The towels also had a weird scent- it didn't smell at all like they were washed, and I spotted an orange stain on one towel. I heavily suspect they were indeed unwashed- rather left out to dry. I'd also like to mention the terrible service on the manager's part. Booking.com specifically stated that there would be a 10% deposit, however the manager took the complete pay from our credit card right away. When we confronted him, the manager acted confused and said that he didn't know how to transfer the money back to our account. This shows just how unaccountable and untrustworthy the service is- the manager is completely self- serving and once the money is taken he will assign you to the oldest room in the worst possible location. Furthermore, there was barely half a roll of toilet paper in one bathroom, and maybe one tenth of a roll in another. We stayed for two nights so this was definitely not enough.

Visited this place in 2014 for a week and had a nice time,good location and close to beach so we decided to stay again for 4 nights again this year,once again had a nice stay apart from the hot water system being small and only really big enough for a couple and not a family of 6.On our last night the wife put on a load of washing and it stopped half way through its cycle,we couldn't get it to work again,so in the morning upon checkout we told the manager what had happened and he said no problem thankyou for letting me know.We headed on our way back home.The next day the wife got a call at home from the manager and said your kids filled up the washing machine with Kings Beach!The tone in which he said that got her back up.Apparently the machine was Clogged with sand.He went on to say it cost $120 to have repaired and he was going to be nice about it and offer to go halves in the repair bill.The wife said I'm not paying anything until I discuss it with my husband.He said he would call back tomorrow.To our knowledge he didn't call back.We weren't going to pay any amount at all as it's general wear and tear,wouldn't this be incorporated into the cost of staying there?What about all the people who stayed before us who contributed to the sand building up in the machine?Its right near a beach for gods sake this stuff is going to happen.Pity he was a tool about the situation as we won't be staying there next year and not referring any more friends or family to stay there.I've also been in business for the past 20 years and you don't go pulling stunts like that with valued customers.Go shout yourself a PR course buddy,it doesn't cost much for a days course.I might even go halves with you because I'm nice!!

Wow, we have signs near the pool and entrances that say, please use the showers located in the driveway or near the beach before entering the pool, [it helps stop the pool filter being destroyed] Most of our guests shake their clothes before they enter the apartment so that sand remains outside. Yours is obviously different. We have never had a washing machine used in this way before or since, even the white goods repair man had not seen it before either, he actually took photos. You obviously where not taught to treat other peoples property as you would like them to treat yours. We are doing our best to improve Merrima Court and make it an enjoyable experience for all guests. Imagine for one second if you where the guest who came into that apartment after people like you had been in there prior to your arrival. Then you would have reason to complain. I didn't ring back because some people just cant see the forest. I just placed you on the barred list. Regards Malcolm Craig Manager.
