We spent this past weekend in the hill country and stayed the night at River Rim Resort. Beautiful landscape with hummingbirds and butterflies in abundance. My passion is photography so I was very pleased. Area up front could use some cleaning as it is your first impression of the property. We had Rim #1 which was a great location but...

We've been going to River Rim (and River Edge and River Gateway) for the past 7 or 8 summers. We always go the week after the 4th of July. The cabins are all incredible and they continue to update the area and increase capacity. The new pool down in River Edge is awesome. We stayed in Lodge #2 and it...

OMG -- I love the hill country. The Frio River is the best inner-tubing float experience around! Grew up spending time camping and playing on the Frio River closer to Leakey at River Bend which is for sale. Was a spectacular spot but River Rim is just as special. So I had to share this area with my husband from...

We just returned from RRR, and were pleased, minus a couple of things we would like for an even better stay. Our cabin was clean upon arrival, and we were surprised it was much roomier than appeared on the website. We very much enjoyed the outdoor porch, where we spent most our time when not on the river. It's a...

This was our 3rd stay at River Rim Resort (see previous reviews). Previously, we have stayed at the Rim property, but they have recently expanded quite a bit, and this time we stayed in one of their newer cabins - Rivers Edge 4. The location is right down the road from the Rim property, right next to Mager's Crossing. The...

My family and I have stayed at RRR quite a few times. We've had a blast each and every time even with river being very low. However, considering we pay such a hefty price for the largest cabin I would like to voice a few suggestions. I strongly feel like bedding (bedsheets and pillow cases) should be included in each...

We spent three nights in The Tower at River Rim Resort on January 12 through 14, 2015. We have stayed at River Rim in our RV on two previous visits and loved it. This time we decided an accommodation that, according to the website, “screams romance” might be a pleasant change for us. We paid $125 per night for what...

The River Inn Resort was NOT what I expected. I reserved the Arbor – cabin and what a disappointment. The pictures DO NOT depict what the views. It is misleading, the back of the cabin overviews some neighbor’s house cistern and there is no front views. If you walk to the River you will see the Frio River but not...

This resort is a great location on the river - that is definitely the best perk of staying here. However, the cabin that we paid $200+ a night for left something to be desired. We stayed in the tower. It was spacious and close to the river which was nice, and had a nice gated patio where we could let...

This is a great location. BUT there are a few things that need you need to know. These cabins are new, but have been definitely used! These kitchens are not fully stocked like they told me. The fridge didn't have the bottom shelf, but they found one for me- nice they did that. There were 2 pans, and a wooden...
