Never had better conditions anywhere concerning horseback riding, treatment by the owner´s family and being able to decide how to spend our days. Excellent food, lodging,... Our sons love it and so do we!!! We first came here in 2004 when our youngest son was only 3 and were allowed to take him for rides in front of me or...

I'm not an experienced rider but one of my main reasons to do a ranch holiday was to improve my skills. Therefore it was important to me that you actually got to ride the horses, not just follow a lead horse. I spent a good deal of time researching all the ranches across the USA before booking with Bar H....

I have been accommodated at the Bar H for around 9 years with several trips a year. My family enjoy's the ranch I think more than I do. From the hunting to the horse riding and best of all Frank's signature ribeye I highly recommend the Bar H for a family vacation. See you again soon!

A former ranch hand in Nebraska and now an Amarillo, Texas resident, I've taken family twice the BarH. Frank and DeeDee are REAL people who run a REAL ranch. Our two family visits have been GREAT! Nothing citified - all real. We'll be bringing more of our grandkids to the BarH to spend some time in real America. Thank you,...

We stayed at the Bar H at the end of a the and a half month RV trip out west. Frank and Deedee went out of their way from our first email correspondence to accommodate our family, RV, and even our dog! We were given a spot to hook up to electricity, offered meals that were delicious and fair-priced. We...

If you wish to hang out with a TRUE Texas Cowboy and Cowgirl, head to the Bar H Dude Ranch. This is not your average dude ranch where guest are treated like "city slickers". Here you are treated like FAMILY! Ignore the less than 5 star accomodations and just relax and enjoy the "layed back" life on the Texas Panhandle....

The Bar H is super authentic. By that I mean that it is not a high dollar spot designed specifically for wealthy people who want to play cowboy and go shoot things (although you can do that). It is more like you are on a family's ranch home, with a cabin room. They live there, carry on life there, and...

We set up a hog hunt at this place. We made it clear we wanted to hunt with bows and they told us they could accommodate that as the feeders had lights on them. After make the 40 mile drive from the ranch to the start of where Jimmy the guide starts staggering us in blinds, he starts making comments...

I have been a guest at the Bar H every November for the last four years. The TenHigh outfitter service bases its hunting operations there during Nov and Dec each year. The ranch is in a perfect location for the best whitetail and mule deer hunting in the state. My son and I have both harvested the best deer in...

Every year for 1 month I escape from the big city and become a cowboy. I am treated as one of the family. I get to ride the way I like with friendly people. I enjoy the finest steaks and sample the real West the way it is meant to be. Not for me the vast holiday resorts with a...
