They used very creative photography when advertising these condos. The rooms are SO small! There is no airflow due to the fact that the 1 and only WINDOW air conditioner unit is upstairs in the loft space. The tiny bathroom has no fan, and no ventilation except for the window. When it's 100 degrees out, who wants the window open!?...

Previous reviews complained of noise but that was not a factor. We Stayed on a Thursday night and was quiet. Rooms were nice and rustic. These are the nicest cabins that we have ever used (Slade tile shower and decorative metal sinks). We stayed in a one bedroom and it is true there is only one window unit in the...

Had a wonderful wedding here! The staff was very helpful and nice. It made a great venue. We held the ceremony on a beautiful rock landing on the river, then held our reception under the covered awning up by the cabins. It worked out great because none of our guests who had been drinking needed to drive to get back...

Overpriced DUMP. There was nothing good all bad. !!!! The beds and furniture dirty . No staff anywhere to be found towels and sheets very worn . Outside worn and dirty this is probably the worst place I sayed and at $400 per night just ridiculous.

We were in honeymoon cabin and the beds were terrible. Very noisy at night due to road so close to cabin. Fireplace was nice, bathroom was fantastic, and close to restaurants and shopping. I would not stay here again due to beds and noise.

We stayed here for 1 night during the off season. The rooms are all on the river with big porches where you can relax and enjoy the view. We stayed in Shone room 3. It had a full size ice box, coffeemaker and microwave. You need to bring your own paper plates, utensils and wine opener. If you want to...

Skip this place for sleeping! Bedding is horrible! Mattresses must be left over from the '50! They are hard and make noises when you move. And the pillows are unusable! I had to go to the nearby Dollar Store to purchase a pillow just to be able to lay down on the bed. Then, just after we'd gone to bed,...

My daughter was just married at the Hideout on the Horseshoe, and it was the perfect choice for her wedding! We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The Hideout had enough cabins for all the wedding party and families to stay together and share the whole weekend wedding experience. The cabins...

The cabins are clean and have a lot of Hill Country charm. The location is very convenient for tubing and I was happy to find out on arrival that the cabin price included tubing with Whitewater. While the rooms have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, that is it. There is nothing in the kitchen cupboards. No corkscrew or bottle...

Hideout is a great place to stay if you're in the Hill Country. It's a great location with rustic grounds right on the river. I stayed in several units during my week-long stay and all were well appointed. If you are lucky enough to be there while there is a show on the adjacent Whitewater music venue, you will not...

“We had a smaller "luxury" room- #16- but to be honest, it looked about the same as the standard rooms- and next time we go, we'll opt for the larger cabins. We didn't think we'd need a bigger room, but it definitely would have been helpful. It would have been perfect for two people though, and it's on the very end, which is quieter.”
