My wife and I booked this lodge to attend a concert nearby. The concert was cancelled but we decided to come anyway. The staff was nice enough to call us ahead of time to make sure we were still coming. We showed up to a ghost town. No one at the lodge, visitors or staff. There was a little red...

This place had a great view of the lake. It was quiet. The water pressure and temperature of the shower were great. The price was reasonable. This place was listed under "bed and breakfast" so that is what I was expecting. It was not. The room was out dated. It smelled of mold. The AC ran but it was loud...

It was comfortable an clean. The lake is beautiful (once it's morning and you see it :) We went on a Tuesday, being the only guests and I felt like I was in The Shining. The room is well equipped and the beds comfortable.

We booked the room with the kitchenette so we had a nice view from the balcony. Decent sized room with comfy beds. The shower is small & was difficult for my mom who is on a walker/wheelchair. We brought our own shower chair but she opted not to try it as there weren't any handrails. Nice picnic tables & the...

Good location and docking. Had a few issues with room, but management worked on them immediately. A big bug was found in the room. Parking was ample. There wasn't a daily cleaning, but I guess that part of it being a lodge. There where grills, picnic tables. The grass was full of stick bugs so wearing shoes is a must.

Rooms are clean and rustic. Needs updating but customer service is wonderful and views of Canyon Lake are incredible. Very peaceful and quiet here. Pricing is average for area but, as mentioned, could use updating. Get a lake view room on 2nd floor to get best view.

Here is my "Before" review, provided for detail: We arrived for our first night and everything seemed okay, if underwhelming for the price. Our "observation room" included a private deck about the size of a cruise ship balcony with one plastic and one aging metal/plastic chair. The room had a small television on a stand, a small table with two...

This is a great location and we thought the room was nice overall. However, it could use a tidy up. It's the little things that matter like making sure there are no pubes in the tub, and that the carpet is vacuumed. The bed was very comfortable, the ac unit worked well and the lady working the front counter was...

It was fun weekend with the family while it was rainy but not too chilly. The room had a simple kitchen and the sofa was a bit broken inside. The bedroom with two queens was spacious but a bit old. It was beautiful to see the family of deer in the morning sun in front of the cabin and the...
