I can't say enough good things about this place! The staff was helpful and attentive, but not intrusive. The grounds were very clean, well-maintained, and wonderful. The river here is beautiful!!! It was a quiet, relaxing camping trip. We were a group of three families with children and dogs. Total 6 adults, 6 kids, 3 dogs. Our campsites were spacious,...

This RV park has almost everything. Nice concrete pads with sewer, water and power. They have four wi-fi signals and every fun activity you could ask for. Driving range, basketball court, beautiful pool, picnic tables, grills, fire pits, etc. They have both mens and womens bath houses which were very modern and clean. They rent full cabins, shells with power...

This park has something for everyone. Our stay was during the off season, but not a problem for us. I enjoy the quiet this park has to offer. The Nueces River is always a plus. Very well kept and clean.

We enjoyed our 3-nights stay the week before Thanksgiving. The office staff was extremely helpful. Though we did not avail ourselves of the pool, splash pad, or river, we had fun experiencing the Camp Wood area. The cabins available looked very comfortable and a variety including one bedroom, two bedrooms, and group cabins for family reunion groups. Saw a golf...

Our group of 8 cyclists had been renting a couple of houses in Camp Wood, but this is every so much better. We stayed in the Big House cabin, which had plenty of room to stretch out, a good kitchen for making dinner, and a really nice covered porch which was great for watching a storm and eating dinner. A...

Our cycling group stayed in the spacious Big House cabin, which afforded a straightforward, clean kitchen for dinner-making, an ample picnic table on the porch for dining and drinking, and plenty of shelter from the overnight thunderstorms to keep our bikes dry! The pool is huge and fancy, and is an area destination for kids looking for outdoor fun, and...

My family stayed at Big Oak River Camp this past weekend in their 2 BR/ 2 Bath cabins and it was definitely better than expected. Our "Pecan Cabin" was right next to the pool area, with splash pad for the youngins. The location was perfect, with awesome river swimming/kayaking/tubing less than a mile down the road. The cabins were very...
