Our adventure began with Daryll and Francisco picking up our party of 8 from the airport in Belize City. First stop was for some refreshments. The next 2+ hours were filled with facts about Belize, it's people past and present, and the rich history of this fabulous country. Daryll and Francisco were very informative and helpful. It's obvious that they...

The canyon, waterfalls and river behind the lodge are just beautiful. We had two rooms for a family of five and both were very nice. Francisco picked us up in Belize City and he was so friendly and helpful it really got the trip off to a great start. The road is horrible but once you get there' it all...

Gaia is a beautiful lodge and we had a great time there. Yes it is remote - that was part of the attraction of course, though it does mean that a 3-4 day stay is enough. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and we thought our cabana was lovely. The beach/waterfall area is a great place to relax on...

This was our second trip to Belize and this time we wanted to check out the jungle. I dont think we could have picked a better location. We signed up for a 7 day package that gave us 3 days at Gaia and 4 at their sister resort Matachica. We were picked up at the airport and driven to the...

The breakfast was really good as well... Swimming in the river and hiking and climbing up it was fun as well... We were there on business and it was good team...

Had a great 4 days at the Lodge. The location is beautiful and quiet, the rooms are superb and the staff is courteous, friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful time. Getting to the Lodge is a bit of an adventure, but well worth the challenge, and it shortens the trip to Caracol. We will stay here again if...

Although situated somewhere truly beautiful overlooking 5 small waterfalls, the river lodge doesn't live up to either the website or it's reputation. The best thing about this place is spending the day sunning yourself down by the waterfalls and swimming in the cool beautiful waters and using the walkie-talkies to send up your cocktail/food orders. The rooms are nice, but...

The location was breathtaking. I could not get enough of the view. The lounging area by the river was incredible. Make sure to hike around Blancaneaux/Big Rock. Pro: peaceful location (if you don't mind the 45 minute bumpy drive from the main road), view, quaint lodgings, nice ambiance, friendly, helpful staff, proximity to big rock and Blancaneaux, hearty breakfast included,...

PROS: The service is by far the best I have ever received. Because the resort is small, they are able to learn your names and what you like. It was simply exceptional. You get welcome drinks when you first arrive. The rooms & housekeeping were great. We had towel animals and flowers around our room daily. The grounds were gorgeous...
