We stayed here while on Adventure Cycling's Texas Hill Country Loop. We arrived famished and the bags of snacks available in our room hit the spot. We booked the least expensive room and while small, it had dishes, bowls, wine glasses, silverware etc. We walked to the market (about a mile), bought dinner goods, came back and sat at the...

My husband and I stayed here, the day after Thanksgiving. Talk about a nice upgrade; they did a wonderful job in the room we stayed in! Stylish curtains w/rod, mounted on a country style wall board that matched the King sized headboard; tile floors, new granite bathroom counter, w/ new fixtures & sink. Loved the thick, luxurious dark brown, (soft)...

I have always loved staying in older "vintage" hotels and motels, so I was looking forward to staying here. Deborah, the owner, was great -- so friendly and helpful -- made me feel at home immediately. I was totally surprised to find my room immaculate, clean and updated beautifully without taking away from it's character. I visit my family in...

I just can't believe how terrible our stay was after reading the positive reviews on this site. Our room was not ready when we checked in, we had to wait for the maid to finish cleaning. The two kids running around in the parking lot and on the sidewalks was the second clue that this wasn't going to be a...

A jewel of a place to stay when visiting Blanco. We traveled to Blanco as our base as we were visiting several towns around Blanco. As soon as I opened the door to this Country Inn, I was impressed. The room smelled of freshness, one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed. Everything was perfect. Snacks and bottled water for...

This place was perfect for us. It is very clean and the owners are very friendly. Quaint is the best way I could describe it. It is not fancy, but the room we had was much better in many ways than our last stay at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio!! The outside grounds were very nice and we ate...

Southern Hospitality! Warm, charming, friendly, CLEAN.... I have stayed here on many occasions while relocating. I am typically a chain hotel consumer...with the thoughts of "best surprise in no surprise" BLANCO COUNTY INN was a please tell surprise! I can't express enough nice things about this motel and it's welcoming "inn keepers" Deborah and Ralph were some of the first...

I've been driving past this Inn for over 20 years, and this past Saturday stayed the night for the first time in room 106 and it was great. Everything you need in a cozy room. Look forward to coming back next time I'm in the area. Blanco has great restaurant's for a quaint town. Thanks!

This Inn was a great place to stay. It had everything we needed and then some. It was affordable, inviting and cute. If you are looking for a place to stay over when floating the river, this will not break the bank. We enjoyed it very much.

Thank Kristina J

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We let our customers decide whether they want to do nothing, or savor all the things Blanco & the Texas Hill Country have to offer. With that said we are an 80 year old motel, with rooms that have been remodeled over the last few years. All this to give our customers, and future friends, a charming "Hill Country" Experience! Being (we believe the motel was built in1932) we are 80 years old; we are the oldest lodging in Blanco County. Also, we are one of the oldest lodging establishments in the hill country. It was founded by Mary Lester as the Lester Courts when the State & Federal government was developing our state park system and when Route Number 66 was developed. No, not US Route 66, we think it was a state highway before it became US 281. So along with the road and the park here Mrs. Lester built the Lester courts. Wanting to slow down the frenzied pace of corporate life, my wife and I jumped at the chance to live in the hill country, and run a quaint little inn. As our retirement project we have had fun restoring the motel to a quaint "Boutique Motel" and meet people and new friends from all over the world. Ask us about some fresh eggs or soon our "Blanco County Honey!" ... more   less
