This motel is super cozy and totally worth the visit if you're here to see the mountains. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and updated, and the balcony view is fantastic. The national park is 10 minutes away, the Tuckaleechee Caverns are 15 minutes away, and there are endless restaurants.

I have stayed here several times in the past and have had wonderful experiences. This past visit was quite different. We had to take out our own trash after a few nights and request new towels, no problem there. The biggest issue, however, was that they were doing some construction (putting in new flooring and painting) in some of the rooms and would start working at or before 8am (checkout is at 10am). We were not warned of this in advance, and since the whole purpose of this trip was to rest and relax, being woken up abruptly each morning by sanding, hammering, compressors, and loud chatter definitely kept that from happening. I love this place for its quietness, closeness to the national park, and limited amount of tourists. This time was quite terrible though and I wish I had kept my money and just stayed home.

Hello JessicarU6549AZ, Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by the renovations occurring during your stay. While our contractor was instructed to not begin work until 10:00 a.m. the responsibility is clearly on us and we regret that your stay was disrupted by all of the activity. We have adjusted your recent reservation to reflect compensation for the inconvenience. Our primary concern is always the comfort and enjoyment of our guest's and we failed to deliver on that promise. If you would allow, we would be grateful to have the opportunity to afford you with a more relaxing and enjoyable stay the next time you are in the area. We hope that you will return and we can make good on our promise to provide you with the hospitality and respite you deserve. Our Kindest Regards,

If you are traveling to the Smoky Mountains and you want to stay somewhere extremely close. This is the place. Location: The best part. The Smoky mountains entrance is less than 5 minutes from the Inn. Value: Great. I think the value of this place for being how close to the park that it is, cant be beat. Rooms: Big and spacious. I enjoyed the rooms. Very clean. Large enough for two people. Had a work station and two couches to rest. Bed was big and comfortable. Had a balcony with a nice view of the woods, where I could sit and enjoy my morning coffee. Cons: Only con I would have is the walls are pretty thin. You can hear noises from other rooms of outside. Overall experience: Great. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am visiting the Smoky Mountains national park.

We stayed at Townsend River Breeze for four nights. We were actually rather surprised that they serviced the room each day...new towels. The reservations and check in process were easy. The rooms were for the most part updated in the original hotel building where we stayed. The addition on the hill have porches with some view. We did have one issue on our arrival (bathroom cleanliness) but it was immediately addressed by hotel staff. The beds are are a highlight as they are very comfortable. The newer floors are vinyl with rugs for comfort. There are some really good eateries near the hotel. Several grocery stores just down the street. The river is just across the road and very short drive to Cades Cove or Pigeon Forge. Overall - nice...and yes, we would stay here again. /

We recently stayed at Townsend River Breeze for four nights. Check in was easy, the rooms while not what we visualized from the pics on Trip Advisor were nicely updated and warm (snow on the roof). We were obviously in the original hotel building, not the addition on the hill. We had one issue with cleanliness but it was immediately addressed by hotel staff (thank you). For the price, this was a nice stay. Beds are comfy, floors are vinyl which was very nice. To improve: the window curtains in our room 6 definitely need replaced, duct tape and safety pins were holding them closed - that was just sad. Overall - nice.
