I stayed in one of the cottages with my dog over Thanksgiving 2016. The cottage was clean and well kept. I greatly appreciated the hospitality and the friendliness of the staff. I felt very safe since I travel alone. Townsend is a great place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the commercialized mountain attractions.... More

Nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints. I would definitely stay here again in the future. I like that the soap and shampoo are in dispensers. Overall, everything was good. Very comfortable stay.

We stayed in one of the cabins. Very roomy space with a kitchen area, a big table to spread out things, a couch and armchair with ottoman. Has almost everything needed in a kitchen for meals including coffee maker (Don't brew 4 cups with the provided packs or you get a very weak coffee), microwave and full size refrigerator. There... My wife and I always try to stay at the Townsend Gateway Inn when we are visiting the Smoky Mountain National Park. The location is perfect, close to the park and our favorite area Cades Cove. The Townsend Gateway Inn is managed by a very friendly family who try to accommodate you in the best way possible, the rooms are... More

This is a small family-run vintage inn which has been very well maintained and has very good customer service. It has wood floors and has all the normal amenities as well as a gift basket with coffee, tea and edible snacks for each room. The inn has rooms with 2 double beds or 1 king, as well as several stand-alone... More

The Townsend Gateway Inn was very clean inside. Check in was easy. The bed was comfortable and the staff gave you a gift basket when you check in (coffee, tea, snacks). All the soaps, shampoo and lotions are in wall mounted dispensers which was very handy. If you are going to Townsend I would recommend this hotel. It was reasonably... More

Very clean, comfortable room. The daily basket of snacks and goodies was a nice touch. We would take them with us in the morning for a snack while we were in the Cove during the day. The vinyl plank flooring was great instead of carpet which can be so full of germs and smells. Everything about this room was great... More

We stayed here six years ago and really not much had changed. The motel has about 20 rooms all on ground floor and you can park your car in front of it. The rooms are big with enough space and everything you need. Location is good being only a 15 minute drive from Cades Cove. Restaurants, gasstation, grocerystore are all... More

This is a very clean, convenient mom and pop motel in Townsend. The welcome basket of goodies is nice and we loved having the laminate hard wood-look floors! Carpet always creeps me out in a hotel! Nice owners and can't beat the price!
