I loved this quiet, convenient, comfortable inn. Although the looks of it are old from the exterior, the rooms are updated, spacious, nicely appointed with comfy beds. It is an easy drive from here to Pigeon Forge or to Cades Cove. The downside would be not having a place to eat at the inn. However, they do provide a continental...

Because of seasonal closings in this area I had to try a new place. This place is well constructed and clean. Because of the seasonal nature of their business, there were very few (3) people staying here. The room appeared to have been recently remodeled.

My husband and I were taking a few days off and decided to stay in Townsend because it is so quiet and this time of year it is not very busy. Take note that many restaurants are closed for the season though We really enjoyed staying at Gateway. The rooms are newly decorated and very comfortable. The owners are wonderful...

I emailed late one night to get a reservation and was called back within 30 minutes to book! Was completely shocked with the quick response. When we arrived the front desk was more than accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed (including the inclusive snacks that my child could eat) we usually camp but because of the season...

Very cute, newly renovated motel set off the main road in quiet Townsend. We only stayed one night and the location was ideal for our visit to Cades Cove. Wonderful place to completely relax in the Great Smokey Mountains. Owners were very friendly and extremely helpful on check-in offering advice on local restaurants and supermarkets. They also provided a gift...

This is, without a doubt, the cleanest, friendliest, most hospitable motel in which I have ever stayed!!! The units have been newly renovated ... colorfully decorated and well amended. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are very quiet which enhances your relaxing, refreshing visit to the Great Smoky Mountains. The Townsend Gateway Inn is less than a 10...

We recently stayed here to do some hiking in GSMNP. The people who run this place could not be nicer, they are very accommodating and even brought a snack basket to our room when we arrived. However, there were a few things about this place that will prevent us from staying here again. The first is that there is a...

Hello sngbrd, As I try to find the words to respond to your review, disappointment continues to filter in. It is regrettable that I must now attempt to explain away the issues you experienced on your stay, which I cannot. If you would be so inclined, I would be very grateful for your time if you could call or email...

I stayed in one of the cottages with my dog over Thanksgiving 2016. The cottage was clean and well kept. I greatly appreciated the hospitality and the friendliness of the staff. I felt very safe since I travel alone. Townsend is a great place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the commercialized mountain attractions....

Nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints. I would definitely stay here again in the future. I like that the soap and shampoo are in dispensers. Overall, everything was good. Very comfortable stay.

We stayed in one of the cabins. Very roomy space with a kitchen area, a big table to spread out things, a couch and armchair with ottoman. Has almost everything needed in a kitchen for meals including coffee maker (Don't brew 4 cups with the provided packs or you get a very weak coffee), microwave and full size refrigerator. There...
