I have stayed in many hotel in my lifetime and this place is the grimiest and most disgusting by far! If cleanliness is as important to you as it is to me then don’t stay at the Springfield Inn located in Springfield Tennessee. When I ask for their Corporate Information so I could voice my concerns, I was told this place is not associated with the Chain of Springfield Inn’s located in other cities. This place is Nasty. The furniture was so soiled that we could not use it. The bathroom smelled like urine. Didn’t feel safe and there were a lot of noisemakers. I expected better but I guess I was fooled by the name a little too. For just a few dollars more there are much better hotels in the area. This place is just GROSS!
I was on edge the entire time. So many people sitting outside their rooms...watching. Yes there is a pool, exercise room next door but very dark so did not venture outside of room. Stained chairs and wild showerhead..and I still don't know whether it was blood or ketchup on the AC unit(room 113)😟. There are a lot of fast food restaurants in walking distance but drive. I did not take advantage of the free breakfast. Live and learn so no more extended stay hotels...especially on the weekends.
When we checked in the front desk clerk was nice the lobby looked good and clean. Then when u drive around to the rooms there are people everywhere. Kids adults pets in the courtyard behind the pool area. Very unsafe environment! There are people sitting in their cars constantly, driving in and out being gone 5 mins and come right back. Seems like a lot of drug activity going on. There are whole families living here, several at that. The room is very outdated but was decent if you can get over all of the foot traffic and notice from the courtyard and the sirens from the street. The police were here when we got here, but not sure why, I can only assume checking for drug activity.
The staff is nice, but the outside is under renovation. The upper walkway railing is somewhat loose, but the welders are working on it. The concrete steps and sidewalk are crumbling and need repair. Our room was decent, tub was NOT CLEAN!!, hard carpet, do it yourself plumbing repairs. When they cleaned our room, we returned to find the curtains pulled ALL THE WAY BACK!!!, and our belongings on display for ANYONE walking by to see !! Only stay here if you have to.
I knew that the Springfield Inn would be a "no frills" hotel; but I was not prepared for a room with chairs too soiled to sit on, carpet too nasty to walk on without shoes, and a shower too moldy to bathe in. (Pictures attached) The sheets and towels were clean, but the bed spread was soiled and stained. The smoke detector was open with the battery removed, and the curtains were too far away from the window to close for privacy. Also, the door between adjoining rooms was being held together by staples. The other "clientele" of this hotel, hanging about outside, gave the impression of being transients. The pillars holding up the second floor were literally crumbling. I have no idea how this place is allowed to stay in business. Although the lobby and breakfast area look fine, don't be deceived: this place is a filthy, run-down, locally disreputable dump.…
