Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown offers a dynamic atmosphere and is praised for its cleanliness and prime location near Broadway and local attractions. However, reviews suggest that while the staff can be attentive, service inconsistencies and slow elevators mar the experience for some.
Room opinions vary, with clean and comfortable spaces for many, but others point out dated aspects and noise issues. Although the hotel's amenities add charm, guests caution about high parking costs and incomplete renovations.

Detailed Reviews
The location is perfect, short walk to Broadway and right across street from Capital and Bicentennial park.
Room was very comfortable, the AC unit is extremely loud but after a day of walking around was easy to fall asleep but did wake me up middle of the night. Lite sleepers will definitely have an issue. The coffee pot made a mess all over the place, the coffee provided doesn’t fit in the coffee filter and coffee ended up all over the desk. Disappointed no refrigerator in room. WiFi worked great and service was extremely friendly. Valet service was very efficient car was ready in less than 10 minutes
I would probably stay here again if I was visiting Nashville

Being our first time in Nashville, we had no idea where to stay, but this hotel was a great choice. The location is perfect, an easy walking distance to Lower Broadway, The Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Area, Country Music Hall of Fame, etc. If you don't feel like walking, the hotel provides a free shuttle service to anywhere within 10 blocks. Our room was spacious, modern and clean..after a busy day of sight seeing, it definitely felt like coming home, especially with the free Hot Chocolate or Coffee to welcome us in the lobby. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The Bellhop was the friendliest, unfortunately I never got his name, but he has a dog named Finnway;). We had a wonderful view of the Capital Building from our room. It was also an easy walk to the Farmer's Market for the New Year's Eve Concert. We hope to return to Nashville soon, and there is no question, we will stay at this hotel again. (And one more thing, the Breakfast Buffet was delicious).

Extremely disappointed about this hotel, We booked a few days ago and charged us $400 per room per night, and they did not tell us that we have to clean the room ourselves, what an experience we will have! People tend to go for holidays and stay in hotels to enjoy the small things they dont do on their homes… so the hotel will provide linen but you need to do the beds your self, they dont clean or vacuum the room and they dont clean the toilet, no mini bar in the room, no room service! I think what they are doing is lame and misleading to the guests. Lobby is outdated and poor. I wish i did not book here and used the same money to stay in a better one.

A terrible hotel - avoid at all costs. I'm a frequent traveler and often in Nashville, I normally stay at the Renaissance but they were full so I stayed here. I have a room where the phone doesn't work, instead of fixing the phone I was offered a move to another room. The hotel is outdated and the room HVAC that sounds like a truck engine; it was so loud I had to turn it off. Service is impersonal and sloppy - fine if you're at a motel but frustrating at $350 a night. Nothing like ordering a small pot of coffee for $7 and having a $10 delivery fee. That about sums up this rip off. Anywhere is better.

The check in process with the chocolates and champagne is meant to charm because the rest of the place is a disappointment for the price.
First of all, this hotel is not cheap. On top of that, they charge a $17 amenity fee per day. For what you ask? It’s unclear. The pool is small w no hot tub. You will see nicer pools at a holiday inn for half the price and no amenity charge. Breakfast is not included and parking is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive (like $38/day) so I’m just at a loss to what that fee could be for.
The rooms are fine but small. There’s no mini fridge but you can request one. But beware because the reason there’s no mini fridge is bc the rooms are already cramped without it. Also requesting and waiting on a mini fridge is just an unnecessary hassle for such an expensive hotel.
For the amount of money you’d spend per night, you can find much nicer accommodations. They should advertise the true cost so you do not feel nickel-and-dimed.

This was our first time in Nashville. The Sheraton has an impressive lobby, but is a little outside of the action on Broadway. It was a very steep uphill trek to get home. Aside from this, I was not impressed that we needed to wait for our room to be ready despite arriving at 4:30. We had driven 14 hrs and really wanted to wash up before getting dinner, but decided to lock our bags away and go looking shabby. We were not offered a courtesy room to freshen up. When checking out, we were hit with a $37 ($18.50 ish per night) USD charge that we were not made aware of at Check in. When I questioned this as I thought I had paid for everything in advance, the front desk staff mumbled something about the extra cost for record players, bicycles and bottles of water / coffee. No eye contact was made. I think they must get called on this often. We stayed in Memphis, Tampa, St. Augustine, and Savannah, and this was the only hotel to have a hidden charge at the end for amenities that went unused. We had our own water, and had no intention of using a bicycle or record player. After paying upwards of $500 CAD per night for our stay in advance, this left a bit of a bitter taste, especially after paying almost $100 to park for 2 nights (with in and out privileges which was nice). No staff made a memorable impression on us. They were very busy with the spring break crowd, so I am willing to give this property another chance, but will likely shop around next time. We loved Nashville!

Beautiful hotel, friendly people. BUT...when you pay well over $200 a night for a hotel room, is it too much to ask for shampoo and soap. Both dispensers on the wall were empty. Once you are in the shower and wet, its a little late to call to have some brought up. Now, they did bring some up later for the next shower, but still very frustrating. Covid times suck. Less service, higher prices.

Dirty, no maid service “because we don’t want to have anyone in your space for that long “, we have to have dirty towels, garbage, no coffee, and moldy tile. The wifi lasts 5 minutes at a time. We’re here for three nights with no room cleaning. What ?! For about $300 per night. I do t think so.

We chose the Sheraton Grand Nashville because Marriott hotels have a reputation for being great places to stay. The self-parking cost $100 for two nights which was in addition to our $500+ actual hotel stay. The hotel stay did not include breakfast. When we checked in, the hotel provided bottled water free of charge which was much appreciated after a long drive. When we arrived at our room, it felt humid despite the fact that we had a February stay. The windows were covered in condensation. The king-size bed was comfortable, however, the only additional seating was a desk chair. There was a table in the room, but no associated seating. There was a very obvious area in the room layout where a chair ought to be placed however there was none to be found. There was no refrigerator or microwave provided. When we inquired about seating at the front desk, we were simply told, "not all of the rooms have chairs". Refrigerators are available free of charge but are not present in every room. We asked for a refrigerator to be brought up to our room, but I was disappointed in the facility for how much we paid for our stay. We did appreciate the Peloton bikes in the fitness room and were able to workout away from home.

Great hotel in a great location. A quick walk to Broadway and they offer complimentary shuttle to places within a 10 block radius which was very helpful because our first night there was freezing. Room was updated and spacious. Great view from 25th floor. Nice club level lounge. Staff was all very friendly and helpful, especially Alexis who helped prepare the room for a Valentines treat before we arrived. She was so nice, positive, and pleasant to interact with. She made such a great impression before we even got there!!!

I had no water issues or noise issues this week - but I was also on the 22nd floor which would make it quieter
It was only a short ride by car, less than 15 minutes. Distance is about 10 miles.
There is also a golf cart from that hotel that takes you to the popular places downtown and back, a nice feature from noon to midnight for some. Reservations required.
