Nestled in an optimal spot, Loews Nashville Hotel at Vanderbilt Plaza is celebrated for its tranquil setting away from the city's hustle, according to many guests. While the hotel's elegance and cleanliness earn high marks, some travelers find the additional charges, such as parking and dining, to be steep.
The service generally receives accolades for its professionalism, though the bar has seen some inconsistent reviews. Patrons appreciate the top-notch amenities and overall ambiance, but the rooms receive a mix of praise and criticism for their comfort and occasional noise issues.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at this hotel to tour Vanderbilt. It’s a 7 minute walk to the admission office. The hotel staff is very friendly. The second we arrived a bellman grabbed our bags before we could get them and helped us check in. We were able to check in immediately and they offered us a room upgrade. The room was very spacious and clean. We walked to a great restaurant for lunch and only a 20 minute walk to music row. Easy location. It was a lovely stay!

We have stayed here several times and it it a true _full service_ hotel competitively priced w/ the area's "partial service" hotels like Fairfield/Springhill/Townplace Suites (why does marriott have so many brands that are the same ? ;), hilton garden, etc. The location is perfect its in the Vanderbilt area, easy access from US40 and if you want tourist Nashville, Broadway, 116th st, etc pretty easy walk, even easier UBER, and more fun the scooters are available everywhere. We will stay again and again its a great stop on a long trip we take between Texas and NC/VA/DC

Visit for business. All staff was super friendly and amazing, special shoutout to Van.
I highly recommend this hotel, it was clean and well maintained. I got my room cleaned twice a day and at night they prepare the room to sleep (close blinds and curtains) for me!

A very nice hotel and the front desk staff is well trained and helpful. It ends there. First off when at the hotel you are kind of like on a deserted island and forced to pay their prices for everything if you don't bring things like water, soda, alcohol, etc... with you. They do not sell any snacks or beverages other than through their Masons restaurant / bar in the evening or for a few hours a day at their Pod morning kiosk type location. Both places are typical Nashville downtown price heavy. After that your only choice is the in room mini bar. Good luck finding the prices for any of the items there. There are no in room price lists. If you don't know to go to the TV menu under the safety related items (That is the last place I would have looked until asking the front desk), you won't know what they are going to charge you. In writing this review I'm looking at the pictures / videos I took of the TV menu and it told me a soda (12 oz Coca Cola) would cost me $4.50, I was billed $5.90. One of the front desk people told me there has been a lot of confusion with hotel guests on this issue. Another front desk person told me they removed the in room price lists at the start of the pandemic roughly a year ago. I personally believe the hotel is intentionally making it difficult for guests to see the prices for the in room mini bar and then overcharging for the drinks / snacks. I have pictures / videos to back this opinion up. The wait time at Masons the first night we were there for 2 drinks when they were not that busy was about 13 minutes. The attitude of the lady serving us was not good and the next night was no better. It took them about 40 minutes to deliver an item they did not have sufficient amounts of in the room starting at about 9:40 pm. If they want to charge the prices they do for some of those items then they should provide the level of service that justifies those prices. I'm sure the excuse is going to be staff shortages due to Covid. I think they could provide in room visibility of mini bar prices if they wanted to. Covid is legit but not as an excuse for them to screw people around. I personally will not stay at another Loews.

To begin with the website makes you think this is a very nice hotel that’s not the case in this situation. Their one of the racist hotel I’ve even been to in my life. You’d think being in a mixed race area things like race wouldn’t matter these people made sure to give us one for there cheapest hotels not to mention took off an extra 100 per night we stayed for something called a (Incidental Fee) and when asked about the extra fee the hotel manager talked to us rudely and snapped about how the extra 200 dollars will be back on the card in 2-6 business days “ If we don’t break anything”. Never in a million years have a heard of a fee like this and I pray in 2-6 business days I have my money because I’d hate to fill a complaint to corporate. To speak to the status of our room it was amazingly clean when we arrived and they had a great fitness room that’s the only nice thing I can say no pool and they allow pets which that doesn’t state on the website.

Dear Vontavius, My name is Hugh Anderson and I am the General Manager here at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. This is certainly not how we’d want our guests to feel and would like the opportunity to hear more about your experience. Please email me at vpheleadcoordinator@loewshotels.com with the best contact information and I will reach out to you. In regard to the credit card hold, like most hotels, we require a $100 nightly hold for any incidental or additional charges that could occur during a guest’s stay. This includes food and beverage, parking, in-room movies, and more. If there are no additional charges incurred upon check-out, the amount that was held is returned back to the card, which takes around 2-6 business days depending on your card holder or bank. If there are any issues, please give us a call and we would be happy to look into it. I hope to have the opportunity to connect with you and hope to be able to welcome you back again soon. Best, Hugh

Our niece was involved in the Vanderbilt Off Broadway play and had invited us to come again for her final, senior year play. We had a wonderful experience here last year and expected the same this year.
Unfortunately it started off a little rough. When checking in the credit card machine was not functioning necessitating me to fill out a bunch of paperwork. I checked in with my AMEX Platinum card expecting a nice room on the club lounge floor. Didn't happen. The room offered was on a lower floor right next to the elevator. I declined that room and was then offered a room on the club level but with an up charge to have it. I was tired from driving so I said fine.
Our new room was much better than the originally offered room. Spacious with a view of Vanderbilt University. We also now had access to the lounge. I honestly thought that my AMEX Platinum usage provided upgrades to premium rooms if available. The fact that a premium room was available tells me that the front desk staff may not have followed the proper procedure.
But other than that snafu, our stay was very nice. Comfortable room. The lounge is most convenient with good food and service.

It was never made clear all the fees that are tacked on to your room fee… parking, food in room, etc.
I wouldn’t be surprised if one day you get charged to flush the toilet, turn on the shower or use the elevator to get to your room.
Be warned of all the extra fees you will have when staying here.

We chose Loew’s because we have stayed at other Loew’s locations before. Overall, we had a nice stay. We chose this location to be close enough to downtown when we wanted to head down, but also far enough away to not deal with traffic during our many day trips. The bar and lobby area were beautiful. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately because of Covid restrictions we could not get our room “cleaned” throughout our week stay. We had to request new towels and sheet changes, and had to be out of our room for 3 hours before they would come. Totally understandable and no fault to them for this. The room itself was a good size, but the bathroom was a bit small and hard to maneuver 2 people getting ready. The interior did seem very out of date. It looks like it was revamped a few years ago, but paint job on the bathroom doors was sloppy and you could tell where they tried to improve, but perhaps quickly and not with care. Wallpaper seemed dingy. Shower door would not close completely and left puddles of water after each shower. Aesthetics aside, it seemed clean and was quiet during the night, which we appreciated.

Parking elevator on 2nd floor button is broken and u have to push up button to get the elevator to you, down doesn’t work. Front desk staff was very dull bland and not friendly. I was not told about food options, entertainment or anything else when checking in. I was handed my key, told where parking was and off they sent me. Hallway was smelly, rooms very dated and old. Robes in rooms are one size SMALL. Paid $300 for one night and they didn’t even have hand soap in the rooms because it is on “back order”. How do you claim to be so highly clean and disinfected when you don’t provide soap in the rooms??

This was my first experience at Loews and I am confident I will not return to this location nor any other.
They did satisfy the cleanliness requirement. Rooms were clean and bathrooms spotless.
Bedroom and bath linens were rough (but clean) and hygiene and toiletry products were cheap looking. Don’t get me started on the microfiber robes that cling to your body like wet jeans.
The overall experience was nothing more than that of a budget-rate hotel for a not-so-budget price. I’m disappointed by this visit.
