This was a nice clean location and hotel. The shuttle was perfect to take us downtown. No paying for parking. The music at night was good. Lots of restaurants close by. I would stay here again. Nice employees.

Stayed for a night on the weekend after Christmas and couple not be happier with this hotel. Spent a considerable amount of time narrowing down hotels in the area and I'm glad I finally picked this one. Located right on southern edge of Centennial Park, this Holiday Inn location is also a couple of blocks from the sprawling Vanderbilt University campus.

When we arrived the front desk staff was very affable and welcoming and even let us check in a little bit early. We had a park facing balcony room on the 11th floor and the view was quite lovely even though centennial park was in the middle of a large scale reservation. I can only imagine the view is quite spectacular in the spring and summer months. We had a room with 2 queens, also had decent closet space, a desk and chair, tv and a mini fridge. Plenty of outlets all over. Normal sized bathroom with and a shower but no tub which I preferred. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Overall a good sized room for 2 people and decent sized for even 3-4. Another thing I really liked was both firm and soft pillows were made available.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the property has a free shuttle that takes you to downtown. The pick/drop off is right by the bridgestone arena which makes it walking distance to almost all the major downtown action. We just the shuttle multiple times even though we only stayed 1 night.

The have a bar/restaurant called the commodore where they often have live music but unfortunately we didn't get to check it out. All the staff including the front desk, shuttle drivers and housekeeping were wonderful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nashville.

Hotel is close to all Locations downtown. Upon arrival I was greeted with warm smiles and enthusiasm! Surprisingly there was complimentary wine and cheese being served in the lobby .... nice touch! Shortly after checking again I was assigned a personal concierge who insured that all my expectations of both the hotel and my room exceeded standards......they did!! I’ll definitely make this property my go to when I’m Nashville.

Arrival was fine but woke in the early morning to cigarette smoke pumping in through the AC. I looked on the balcony & saw the room next to us was smoking next to our AC unit. I called the front & the gentlemen helping me just apologized. That’s it! He then put me on hold for a few minutes & asked if we wanted to move rooms! We checked out that morning and said it’s just pointless at that moment & said we rather not. Then he asked, “well, is there a no smoking sign out there?” I was confused as to how he couldn’t have know that. So i informed him there is a sticker that states no smoking and even if there were, it wouldn’t make it okay for our room to be compromised. He then said “well there isn’t anything physical that I can do to help you other than change rooms & you don’t want to do that, so what can I do to help”. I was calmly upset by now. Then told him how upset I was. I asked if they can tell them to stop smoking or do i have to confront them my self. He said no please don’t do that. Of course I wasn’t but I literally had to say that in order for there to be some sort of movement on their behalf. Thinking contacting her should have been the first step. But no, I had to suggest it. The other guest had been out there smoking for 25 minutes without anything being done. At the end of the conversation, He finally said he would bring our rate down, which was nice. So we hung up and i jumped in the shower. We received another call & my husband answered. They informed him that they finally called the other guest and asked them to stop smoking and told him they were dropping our rate. At 5am, I just wanted to pack up & leave. I wished the entire conversation I had could have been handled better. Then I get out of the shower, sat on the bed & realized there are ants all over our bed! I jumped up & called my husband who was now in the shower. Ugh... It just didn’t go good for us. The maintenance department did show up to spray everything. He informed us that they are usually around the coffee maker & come in from the balcony door. We go down to get the new bill & the front desk agent (who was amazing by the way) was sincere and she was very understanding of our situation. Well, come to find out. The gentleman who originally helped us, never lowered our bill! What! The front desk agent fixed it & she handled everything great. Beautiful property but horrible experience.

I am giving this hotel 1 star, even though I would otherwise give it 4 or 5 stars. I did it so you would read. When you book, you must insist that you NOT be given one of the 2 rooms across from the elevators on each floor, and likewise not be given a room anywhere near the elevators. The rooms across from the elevators end in 20 and 22. The walls are paper thin at best, and you can hear absolutely everything from anywhere in the room, including the elevator chime. Even when I was moved to a room ending in 15 I could still hear them, although the room was at least habitable. The rooms by the elevator bank should be put out of service or sound proofed. Until then, stay away from these rooms.

The hotel was otherwise great. It’s an awesome location. The staff was very nice. And the commodore grill is a Nashville landmark and has awesome music and great staff.

So, I would stay here again ...just not by the elevators!!!!

Very nice stay at this Holiday Inn right by Vanderbilt (about 2 miles west of downtown Nashville). We came for New Years and arrived Friday morning at 2AM because our flight was delayed over 2 hours. The 2 ladies at the front desk were very friendly and checked us in quickly. Our room seemed like a standard Holiday Inn room with a couch and table, a queen bed in our room, a fridge, a desk and chair, a microwave, ample hanging space for our coats amd a normal bathroom with shower and tub. The hotel has a restaurant downstairs where they served breakfast (at a charge, not included in the room rate - I thought it was but probably misread when I booked on Expedia). We did buy coffee and breakfast from the breakfast bar one day and it's typical breakfast bar stuff with coffee, yogurts, pastries, fruit, etc. There's an outdoor pool but not in season right now. There's a fitness center which we didn't use on this trip. Room cleaning is done every 3 days so we can't speak to it because we stayed only 4 days. Staff were friendly everywhere we encountered them - whether overnight or daytime. The best feature is the shuttle bus that drops you off at numerous different locations around the city. We got dropped off in downtown and the Gulch. We took the number down and called for pickups back to the hotel and this came in handy after the Nashville Big Bash on New Years Eve, the bar on Saturday night and after brunch on Sunday. We also were able to keep our luggage here before we flew on Sunday because we had brunch and wanted to visit downtown one more time before our 5PM flight. All in all, a very nice stay and we would definitely stay again.

The shuttle service was amazing as were the drivers! Those guys work so hard and were always there in a timely manner when we requested a ride. I liked that the property was close to all of the major attractions on different sides of Nashville, including Vanderbilt University, Midtown, Downtown and and the Gulch areas.

The building itself is old and not kept up. The lobby and restaurant area are impeccable, leading you to believe that the rooms would be upgraded and modern as well. The photos online of what the rooms look like were extremely misleading! Our room was not very clean, lots of trash and debris in the hallways and on the room floors, dirt and grime on the baseboards and shower walls. We had to call for towels each night, and would receive them hours after we had called multiple times for them. With the staff not cleaning the rooms each day, the least they could do was be sure we had clean towels each night. The air conditioner would not go below 66 degrees and the room was never truly cool at night. Booking.com also gave us free breakfast as a part of our room reservation for each person in our room, and we were told by staff members at the hotel that it was only good for breakfast for one person per day of our stay although our reservation said it was good to cover everyone in the room. Not pleased with this false advertisement at all! We also tried to inquire about receiving our IHG reward points with the staff at the front desk and they would not even look up our account information, they simply said if we hadn’t traveled in over a year the points had probably expired. I have stayed at much more updated hotels, including Holiday Inn Express, for less than the price we paid to stay here.

You have given me very specific points to work on and I appreciate the time you took to share these details. The age of the building cannot be changed, but everything else will be addressed! Everything was good, until it got bad and then they made it great! Checking in was wonderful since we just walked in and booked on the spot as we were passing through. The price matched all the online travel sites and Lauren at the front desk made great recommendations for TN night light and morning breakfast spots. It wasn’t until 8:00 that our bathroom pipes started to make a loud train chugging noise! The shower walls were shaking! As soon as we let the front desk know, they were swift in contact maintenance as well as moving us to a different room. Lauren even issued us some breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience which was so sweet and very appreciative! Well done Holiday Inn, thanks for a great time!

Very professional personnel, room was clean, and check out was easy. Hotel offered several extras, such as TV remote wrapped in plastic (indicating it had been cleansed), hand sanitizing napkins, and shower condiments. Both beds had numerous pillows and the bathroom was stocked with extra towels. This facility also enforced safety practices during pandemic. The hotel is located in a very convenient area of Nashville and navigation to destination was easy.

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend getaway. Our room was next to the staff elevator and linen storage, so we were awoken early every morning by the staff. After the first morning we asked to be moved but were advised they were at capacity and put our name on a list if there were any cancellations. We never heard back. When I mentioned this our last night I was told that I should have asked continuously and implied it was my fault we weren't moved.

Be aware: the hotel only cleans your room if you are staying 5 or more nights. This isn't mentioned at check-in. We stayed 4 nights thus didn't have any cleaning service. We requested fresh towels several times and never received them until I physically went down to the front desk to request them. When we ran out of tissues, TP, soap we had to find someone from housekeeping to get refills.

The rooms are dated and not overly clean. We arrived to our room to find a large smear of toothpaste on the faucet, which makes you wonder if it was cleaned at all.

Probably the only positive of our stay was the prompt and courteous shuttle service by Josh. He obviously loves his job and his city and did an outstanding job. Nice job, Josh!
