Homewood Suites by Hilton Nashville-Downtown receives accolades for its spotless accommodations and the inviting, energetic ambiance enhanced by live music. While the hotel's prime location near Broadway and downtown hotspots is a highlight, some guests feel the hotel falls short on value, pointing to overpriced rooms and parking challenges.
The rooms are praised for their cleanliness and comfort, yet there are remarks about subpar views and noise concerns. Staff service generally impresses, although there are occasional hiccups with valet service and room assignments.

This is a clean well located to Broadway hotel that had the most reasonable pricing with very spacious rooms, including a kitchenette with microwave, stove, and full-sized refrigerator. They went out of their way to make our anniversary special.

+1
We unintentionally booked our stay in Nashville during the CMA awards so hotels were limited and expensive. We wanted to stay within walking distance of the music venues so selected this hotel and booked a suite.
Upon arrival, staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. I arrived before the actual check in time and without hesitation they offered me my room since it was cleaned and ready to go.
The room was apparently heavily used. At first glance everything appeared to be new, however, there were multiple stains on the couch and chairs in the living room area. The TV, kitchen appliances were all in working order and the kitchen had minimal but sufficiently stocked supplies. The sleeper couch was unmade and I needed to request a blanket and make the bed.
The toilet and shower were in a small room, separate from the bathroom sink. No vent in the bathroom so taking a shower was equivalent to taking a steam bath. Don't understand the lack of vent or fans in small shower areas.
The building was originally a bank (I think that's what I was told) and the interior is shaped like an atrium. However, the rooms have windows but no doors or access to the balcony area outside the rooms.
Breakfast is included and the breakfast room is large and comfortable. A very good selection of food and the staff was friendly. There is also a bar near the front entrance. Bartender was also very friendly.
As far as the location to the downtown bars, restaurants and nightlife, it's a short walk down the Broadway where all the action is, but a steep walk back to the hotel. And we had to dodge several homeless people sleeping on the vents on the sidewalks near the hotel. This is not something they can control, but something to be aware of. The neighborhood felt safe (a bit deserted late at night) but as with any large city with a high tourist population, vigilance is key. The front doors are locked so only guests can enter after a certain hour. A necessary security measure.
This was close to a 5 star rating but the stained furniture just keeps it slightly out of the 5 star range.
Would absolutely stay here again.

What an amazing individual. Upon entering the breakfast area, I was immediately greeted by Ron Sandifer who made my visit extra pleasant. Everytime I saw him he always appeared to be willingly helpful in assisting me of putting up my used plates and utensils; and may I add that he always did so with a smile 😁. Moreover, this man deserves high recognition in whatever his employer may allow, he indeed goes above and beyond to ensure that each individual is thoroughly enjoying their meal. I will indeed be back again. Thanks again, Ron.

The hotel is undergoing renovations on one side but that is very apparent in the side that is still in operation. The lobby is cramped. At check-in, one was surrounded by suitcases of departing guests who were keeping them in the luggage room. The elevators are old, some of the buttons did not light up. My room was not numbered. And one day, the housekeeping was not done until late in the day when I had to decline the service and signed a paper saying that I had declined. The breakfast was on the sixth floor in a large dining room and the selection was the usual food but included fresh uncut fruits and yoghurt. This is an old building with high ceilings but needs a good sprucing. It is well located in the downtown area. Staff were friendly throughout even though the front desk clerks were unable to give the simplest of directions to major downtown attractions. One day, it rained heavily and an umbrella was loaned to me. That was a very useful amenity. On checkout day, the key to the room did not work at 12 noon and I had requested a late check out. I had to come down and get the key validated which the clerk was happy to do. The corner room I was given was not conveniently designed with a small desk and the kitchen in a dark corner. Bathroom was clean with bright lights and ample towels. Overall, the stay was fine but I was not impressed.

I can only give a review on how we’re treated by the Night mgr and not the room itself as we were unable to stay. We arrived in Nashville late after a long travel day with 3 children only to be told they could not find our reservation. After about 45mins they informed us that our reservation was canceled. They didn’t know who or how or when it was cancelled. Mr King (the mgr) told me he was sorry but they didn’t have any rooms as they were sold out. It was now almost midnight. He advised us to try another hotel a few blocks away. We showed him our email from booking (2days prior) confirming our room and also call booking who still showed our room confirmation. He then told us that our room was canceled through the app weeks ago. We never canceled our room. No parent in their right mind would fly to another state in the middle of the night with 3 children one of whom is Autistic with special needs without a hotel reservation!! I was told by arrogant and ever so rude Mr Daniel King that he “wasn’t able to help us and to have a nice night” basically showing us the door and kicking 3 women and children out on the dark street in the early morning hours with no transportation or place to stay. There was another employee (Kennedy) who tried his best to help us find another room, I called Hilton customer care but because it was so late I wasn’t able to get a resolution. I personally called another Hilton 1/2 mile away and spoke with the Mgr there who said this was ridiculous the way we were being treated and told me to have Mr King give us a walk letter and they would accommodate us. Mr King refused, it was absolutely no help even ignoring me looking down wiping the counter when I tried to speak with him. I finally was in tears calling everywhere trying to find a room for my children who at this point were sleeping in the lobby on chairs. I called Tony the Mgr at Hilton Downtown Nashville. Who told me to come to his hotel and he would help us. So we walked 1/2 at 1am with 3 kids pulling our suitcases down broadway in Nashville in the dark passing bars and drunks avoiding vomit and ladies of the night. We arrived at Hilton Downtown and Tony got us s room. Even gave my kids a pizza since they hadn’t eaten since our flight and we’re hungry and exhausted. We are still trying to get a resolution with Hilton because the new room w is almost 3xs the price.
I feel like no matter who/what or why our reservation was canceled there is no excuse for the way we were treated by Mr Daniel King. We were 3 women traveling with children (including a special needs child) with no place to go and we’re turned out in a strange town in the middle of the night early morning hours. He could have helped us find a place to stay and a resolution but was to worried about proving that we canceled the reservation than helping us.

This location was absolutely amazing. I came into Nashville on July 23 due to my husband being in a horrific accident while he was out of town & was staying at the ICU at Vanderbilt Medical Center. I stayed at this location just over a month; the staff at this location went above and beyond for me. They worked with me on extended stay rates as well as made sure I ate everyday. It was nothing for the front desk to ask how my husband was that day when i would drag myself through the lobby after a long day at the hospital or ask if I had fed myself. In addition, the hotel was so clean which was reassuring during the times of COVID. They had hand sanitizer located through out and mask in the lobby for customers. The laundry room was nice for my extended stay as well as the gym. I would recommend this location to anyone that wanted to stay in Nashville!

This Homewood Suites is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I stayed here on our road trip through the South. This is very comfortable and clean. I will say that we were surprised upon check in to see that the dishwasher was full and the clean dishes were not put away. I called housekeeping and they brought up paper products to use if we were not comfortable using the clean dishes. They said they don't put them away so that you know they are clean and no one has touched themselves because of Covid. I found this practice confusing because we had stayed in a Homewood Suites less than a week before and that was not how it was done there. Consistency through the brand would be helpful.
The other thing to note is that this is not as spacious as a typical Homewood Suites. It worked well for the two of us, but a family of four might be cramped
Easily accessible to good restaurants and full activities.

This hotel will be great once the construction is finished. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and professional. Unless you like staying in a dark, cave-like environment, stay away from rooms X16-X20. They face the cement parking garage, with lights on all night and cars coming and going. Internet on the 3rd floor was unacceptable but elsewhere, it's fine. (Staff accommodated a move from the X19 room after day 1, which made a huge improvement.)
