Located in the heart of Nashville, the Hyatt Place Nashville Downtown is commended for its prime location and walkability to Broadway, although noise levels have been a concern for some guests. The service quality has received mixed feedback, with instances of both commendable assistance and disappointing encounters. While the hotel offers appreciated amenities like included breakfast, opinions on their value and variety are divided. Room cleanliness is generally praised, but inconsistency in maintenance has been noted. Despite a vibrant atmosphere, many travelers feel the hotel does not provide adequate value for the cost.

Kyle was amazing from the first day my friend and I arrived until the last. Always making us feel welcomed and comfortable. Always with a smile on his face and making us laugh every time we bumped into him coming or going. He was over and beyond helpful with answers to our questions, giving us pointers and even directions on how to go somewhere that we weren’t sure about. Just an absolute pleasure and made our stay even better. Would definitely come back as long as Kyle is greeting is back!!!

Stayed here three nights for a short trip. The breakfast options were great. A bit different than their usual buffet style pre-COVID, but it was still hot breakfast options In a little package containers with egg & potato dishes (both vegetarian and meat options) and also oatmeal, cereal, juices coffee, yogurt, danishes and fresh fruit.

It’s in a great location and just a short 3 to 5 minute walk to Broadway.

If you’re a World of Hyatt Discoverist or higher they also give it 2 complementary water bottles every day which was great.

Their fitness center was also open. They limit it to three people at a time for a 45 minute workout (they technically require reservation, but both times I wanted to work out I was able to get in right at that moment). They provide sealed towels if you need it and also fresh water in the workout room. It seems very well maintained and clean. They also provide sanitizing wipes and spray for the equipment.

Their Covid measures are excellent with hand sanitizer in many locations including inside elevator and clearly spaced markers in the lobby and elevators to maintain social distance, and they limit daily housekeeping to just what you need so someone isn’t always coming in your room every day. Great experience!!! Thank you!!

Great location for a quick weekend getaway. Perfect for hitting the downtown scene. Noon checkout hit the spot after a long night. The continental breakfast was decent. The only downside is the elevators. A key card has to be swiped to go to your room and the motion activated hand sanitizer machine will dispense on your clothes if you stand near it.

We expected a bit more of a luxury experience than we got at this downtown Nashville Hyatt. Staff at desk was useless at answering questions, though pleasant -- they even told us Nashville does not have a Sunday newspaper, which was untrue. They just didn't have it on site. We hoped to relax and watch a movie in our room after an 8 hour drive but none were available (even for pay) and we couldn't order a glass of wine from room service, either. The sofa was stained and there were public hairs in the towels. The beds were clean but dipped in center and needed replacement.
Overall it seemed the management had cut too many corners and hadn't properly trained the front desk staff to know much about the hotel services or the city. We were disappointed over all but I will say the food staff was on their game at breakfast and the valet service was good. You NEED the valet because there is not room to park in the garage yourself. We tried and gave up.

This hotel is located in a very convenient location which is why I selected it. You can walk to every main attraction which eliminates the need to take a lot of Uber’s. It’s near the bars and museums.

They charged me $50.00 to check in early. A little bit pricey, but for the convenience we did that. The government rate is very reasonable. We stayed on the 11th floor. When we arrived, there were air fans blowing in the hallway and wallpaper was being dried. They quickly repaired the issue by the next morning but I am not sure what happened. The rooms were clean and the hallways were very quiet, I never heard loud noise at night caused by guests.

The breakfast was your standard continental breakfast. In the evening they had acoustic performers which were really good! The water is a bid overpriced . A large water was around 5 bucks, but expected.

I would stay there again if I came back to Nashville because the location was perfect.

I combed through nearly all of the Nashville hotels in the various areas before choosing the Hyatt Place. So glad we did! The hotel is in the perfect location for everything downtown Nashville has to offer - bars, restaurants, clubs, museums, and various other attractions. It’s about a 3 block walk to Broadway, so it is just far enough away to be out of the craziness that is Nashville. They offer self parking or valet. We took the self parking option so it would be easy to access our car if we forgot anything we needed (we are road tripping for 17 days, so staying in a lot of different places). The breakfast that is included in the room rate is the best chain hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Omelets, Turkey sausage and pimento cheese biscuits, pancakes, fruit, fresh fruit, juices, cereals, yogurts and quite a few other selections. Thumbs up. The rooms are well appointed and comfy. We had a room on the 6th Floor - no issues with noise. We had a king sized bed and a sofa in our room, which I believe was a convertible sofa. Everything appeared to be brand new. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Front desk and valets were smiling. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our room. The view was amazing. The kids loved that the bridge changed to Red, white and blue on Labor day. Our trip was business for my husband with relaxation for myself and grand-babies. (11 and 5) The Pool chemicals were so harsh the water was cloudy. They burned our granddaughters skin giving her a rash. There was no one around to check the water and when I complained they just wanted to get her a Dr. We had renew lotion with us so we were prepared for sunburn. We bathed her and gave her medication as well as applied lotion to her body. She was fine but has kept a slight rash for a few days. Room was clean the bed away from the window rolled you right to the middle. The other bed was fine. Not enough towels in the room and we stayed for 2 days. We called for towels in the evening of 2cnd day as there were no cleaning services on Monday. They sent 2 towels

Perfect location, very friendly staff and hotel was clean. We stayed on the 9th floor and our room was very quiet, minimal outside noise. Breakfast was delicious, hot homemade food, no sandwiches in plastic bags. The only negative was they charge $50 if your room is ready early, never heard of this in my life and I stay at a lot of hotels.

When we checked in the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and spacious, and this hotel is conveniently located near Broadway, a short walking distance within tons of restaurants and bars and activities.

Unfortunately, on day two our visit started to go downhill. The next morning there were different staff at the desk and when we asked them a question about the all you can eat breakfast buffet, they told us those were questions for the kitchen instead of offering to find out for us, or telling us how to ask the kitchen. They sort of just brushed off our questions even though we explained that we called and asked questions ahead of booking this hotel, and they didn’t seem eager to help at all.

We checked in on a Thursday and on Friday one of the two elevators broke, and it stayed that way until we checked out on Sunday morning. Well we did have an option to also use the housekeeping elevator, the elevator not being fixed quickly, resulted in very long waits especially for those on a higher floor where using the stairs might not have been an option. It also made it impossible to get on with the luggage cart as they were constantly packed. When we did check out and ask to get a luggage cart we were told we would have to come down and get it ourselves.

The first morning we were there, housekeeping knocked on our door at 9:30 am while we were all still asleep and woke us up. On the day we checked out, they just walked into our room around 8:45 am thinking that we had already checked out when we had not. This is not a hotel where you can simply leave, you either have to check out using the phone system or go to the front desk.

This hotel does offer overnight parking which is convenient however it’s US$39 a night which I found quite high for the area. Other hotels were $10 or more less per night.

On Saturday night the staff did go around and tape notes to everyone’s door saying that housekeeping would not be coming to the rooms that day. I do appreciate that they were upfront about it, and I would assume it was either due to the broken elevator and guests having to use housekeeping‘s elevator or due to being short staffed. Unfortunately, a lot of businesses are still dealing with short staffing and there is not much to be done about that.

Lastly, I did expect drink prices to be a bit higher considering how busy the area is, but the lobby was more expensive than most of the bars on Broadway. We had a drink in the lobby and we ordered doubles and instead of being charged for a double drink (drink price plus a smaller charge for the second shot) we were charged a single drink two times making a double drink $22USS in the hotel lobby. These were also the basic well/rail options and not top shelf.

I did just want to again say how great the two ladies checking us in were, we did see them again the second night and they were happy to answer our questions and offer suggestions on where to eat etc.

This hotel is in the perfect location. It is close enough to walk to most tourist attractions and restaurant/bars yet far enough not to hear the noise. I was on the 10th floor and it was nice and quiet there. They just re-started the fresh breakfast, so you must put on plastic gloves before you enter the buffet. It’s not a big deal you take them off when you sit down. Rooms are a nice size, furnishings average, bed comfy and everyone who worked there smiled at me and said hello. Anything I requested was immediately provided, their customer service is great. Will def stay there again. 2 things to improve stay, offer at least 2 comp bottles of water and it’s hard to put makeup on in the bathroom because the sink/cabinet leaves you too far rom the mirror.
