Nestled in the heart of Nashville, the Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown has received accolades for its spotless accommodations and contemporary style, particularly the well-designed rooms and artistic common areas. Guests appreciate the cleanliness and modern amenities like the gym and pool, though some feel the value proposition is lacking due to high costs associated with valet parking and on-site dining.
While the staff's friendliness is often highlighted, service speed and minor amenity issues have been noted. Its prime location is a highlight for guests wanting to explore the city's main attractions.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and clean we especially enjoyed the well designed King room and view from the 15th floor as well as the 5th floor lobby and bar. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet despite being in the center of downtown and broadway. The only thing we did not enjoy was how difficult it was to get bottled water because the hotel only has a water filling station down in the lobby or via the ice machine down the hall from the rooms so bring your own water bottle when you stay here. As others have suggested It would be nice if the hotel provided bottled water in the rooms as other Hilton properties do. There is a market downstairs but unfortunately it was not well stocked with water or other drinks. Additionally it would be a nice touch if they put chair pads under the legs of the desk chair as it is noisy when they are moved in the rooms above you. We will definitely return

Thank you for sharing your experience. We will address the lack of water in the market. We also have partnered with Planet Water and have aluminum water bottles for purchase in the market. All money received goes to the organization to develop clean and safe drinking water in under developed communities. Check it out when you return.

We’re locals that booked a one night stay for our anniversary. We are so glad we gave the recently-opened Tempo a shot; this place was fantastic in every way. The hotel is immaculate, the staff were extremely attentive and accommodating - we truly couldn’t ask for more! They surprised us with an upgrade and a thoughtful anniversary gift on arrival. We loved that the single king suite was thoughtfully laid out with two independently usable bathrooms. The floor to ceiling windows and view from a corner room were unbeatable. The gym is the best I’ve ever seen for a hotel this size and the chic pool area offered a relaxing way to spend part of the afternoon.
Tempo will be our top recommendation to friends/tourists that look for a hotel in downtown from now on. Well done!

Valet parking will send you a valet specific text to request your car in the a.m.. You will also be asked to pay valet directly via app as they are not affiliated with the hotel and your hotel card will not be used.
The lobby is on the fifth floor of the hotel the first when you first walk in and there is a small sign that is easy to overlook to point you in this direction.
The bar and the restaurant are in the same location – across from the lobby. Although there are tables with menus on the tables, they are not serviced by the wait staff, so you will have to go to the bar to place your order. They will deliver the food to your table. But to get your bill, you will have to return to the bar and request it and stand and pay at the bar.
When you arrive in your room, there is a Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom with a perimeter light. I wish you much luck in figuring out how to turn this thing back on if it ever turns off. I was never able to find switch and so make up and contacts in the morning were You a very difficult proposition.
Not a coffee pot, but there is a kettle and you can heat water for your pour over coffee, which makes a real mess if you happen to be holding it upside down when you open the package. Don’t ask me why pour over is necessary in a hotel room where you have instant coffee cups. It makes no sense.
All in all, this has been my most frustrating stay in a hotel for the dumbest of reasons. No signs. No clue that the bar in the restaurant were in the same location. Pour over coffee? Why? Valet that cannot be added to the hotel bill? That’s a new one too. By the time I left I was so frustrated. And I’ve got to say I don’t think the staff gave a s#$& because all of this frustration could’ve been avoided if valet had given clear indications that they were separate and you have to get a text directly from valet. And the front desk had said- the restaurant is across the room instead of restaurant hours food until 10 and the bar serves until 12 which certainly led me to believe there were two different locations.
I was a business traveler for over 10 years. I kind of have an idea of what to expect in a hotel. And I don’t appreciate the level of frustration I experienced during this stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. I sincerely apologize for the confusion and frustration you experienced during your stay. We strive to make every guest's visit as seamless and enjoyable as possible, and it’s clear we fell short in several areas during your time with us. I appreciate your comments regarding the valet service, signage, and bar/restaurant setup. I can understand how these issues created confusion, especially when traveling for business. We are reviewing our communication processes with both the valet service and our front desk team to ensure clearer directions and expectations are set for future guests. Regarding the Bluetooth mirror and the pour-over coffee system, I’m sorry these amenities were more of a hindrance than a convenience. The mirror is controlled by a light switch on the wall in the bathroom. The directions on the poor over coffee are printed on the packet as well as a supplemental card on the tray. I am sorry you experienced issues with these two amenities. Your feedback is invaluable as we continuously work to improve, and I want to assure you that we take your concerns seriously. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and I hope we have the opportunity to make things right in the future.

This hotel is BEAUTIFUL! Amazing location, convenience of valet parking when you pull up and helpful staff. Zack (valet/bellman) particularly was very friendly and helpful with bringing our bags up, unloading the cart getting the car squared away. I highly recommend this hotel. I will absolutely be returning to Tempo whenever I visit Nashville.

I could write for days about this property. It's absolutely beautiful! Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is beyond helpful and courteous. But, this the icing on the cake for me. I need a handicap friendly room and who ever designed the plan went above and beyond. Bed sits low for wheelchair transfer, the doors are wide for chair to go in and out easily and the bathtub is equipped with bars, bench, and regular shower head and a handheld. I stay in hotels more than a week every month and this is by far my favorite hotel. Bravo

Our hotel stay was wonderful! Very close to Broadway, the pool bar was super nice and the rooms were great! Austin was very kind to us as we waited for our Uber! I loved how we arrived at 7:30 am and they had a room ready for us so we did not have to put our bags in storage!

What a gorgeous hotel! Ryan greeted me in the driveway and made sure my car and bags were well cared for, even saw me up to my room, which was a relief because my bag was way too heavy.
Can't wait to come back and stay longer!! Great location, wonderful view, friendly staff, comfortable room and amenities- what more could you need?

Chose this particular hotel for the modern vibe and location. Upon driving up, though very nice, it became clear the valets do not work for the hotel and there are no bell staff or concierges available as one would expect in a decent hotel. Checked in online so no contact with front desk staff who you don’t see until you look up where to find them (5th floor). Again valet did not tell us that. So, straight to room having to cart our luggage up ourselves and then do the return of cart trip like you would have to do at one of Hilton’s bargain properties.
The room itself appeared modern and nice until, after a shower, we noted the tile floor was horribly dirty. To confirm I wiped it a wet cloth and Leo and behold the floor was heinous. Upon reporting this it was noted by the staff and apparently cleaned. Did the little test clean again and still, floor was disgusting. The floor outside the elevator was sticky and probably even dirtier. They clearly don’t know how to care for tile floors. On another note the “barn door” style bathroom door does not provide the level of privacy I prefer. A good 2” gap between door and wall means your roommate will hear everything.
The bar area is very nice. The food served at the bar was actually pretty good. Our visit to the bar the second night, after having attended a concert in town, was less pleasant. We were told it was last call and no food was available at 11:40 pm. The bartender that took our order was very nice and apologetic about that but the. Another bartender stepped in asking what we ordered and our room number etc. she should not be working with people.
Overall the branding of this property is confusing. Upscale Hilton with Hampton Inn level of service. Ie none of the services one expects in a luxury hotel choice. As a long time HH member and frequent traveller I will be more discerning when choosing properties. I don’t mind Hampton Inn If that is the price point I choose. When I choose luxury I expect luxury.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your recent stay with us. I’m truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, and I appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. First and foremost, I apologize for the confusion and inconvenience you faced upon arrival. We aim to ensure our guests feel welcomed and informed from the moment they arrive, and I regret that this was not your experience. Your feedback regarding the valet service, lack of bell staff, and the need for clearer communication from our team has been noted, and I will work with our staff to ensure this is addressed promptly. Regarding the cleanliness of your room, especially the bathroom tile floor, I sincerely apologize for the oversight. This is far from the standard we hold ourselves to, and I’m sorry that the issue persisted even after it was reported. I’ve shared your feedback with our housekeeping team to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you for your kind words about our bar area and the food served there. However, I’m sorry to hear about your less-than-pleasant experience on your second night. I will review this with our bar staff to ensure that all interactions are consistently professional and courteous. Our goal is to provide an upscale experience with attentive service, and I apologize that this was not reflected during your stay. Your feedback will help us improve, and I would appreciate the opportunity to restore your confidence in our hotel. Thank you again for your valuable feedback

Was going to give this a five star, however...SERIOUS parking issues including our vehicle (and one other) being broken (busted passenger window) into while in possession of the mandatory valet parking - which the first issue was the hotels own website says $55 per night. The company that runs the valet requires it be paid via their website., the valet gives you the link after they take your vehicle. Turns out it's actually $65 per night. Plus "convenience" fees for paying with the CC that is mandatory. Plus taxes. Wound up being $148 for two nights. So at $65 a night, time 306 rooms - even at 2/3 occupancy they are making at least $13k a night. Yet they can't have at minimum, security cameras?!?
Then when we tried to get the hotel concierge to at least note our file about the damage, he was literally "not our problem" valet is subcontracted out. No notes made. We filed a "claim" wit the valet company, but of course this was all just for show to make you go away, because our request for reimbursement was denied. They have the not liable language on link they send you to pay. So if you drive yourself in, stay at your own risk.
Other minor issue, the pool closes at dusk.
Other that that it was actually a very nice brand new hotel, one block off Broadway, at the top end of the strip. Very easy walking distance to all the clubs, restaurants, capital, etc.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. While I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed the hotel’s location, cleanliness, and proximity to Broadway, I’m deeply sorry for the serious issue you encountered with the valet service. I understand how frustrating and distressing it must have been to discover your vehicle was broken into while in the care of the valet, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and lack of response you experienced. While the valet is a third-party service, we take the overall guest experience very seriously, and your concerns should have been addressed with more care and understanding. I will be following up with both our team and the valet company to ensure this situation is properly reviewed and security measures are reinforced. Regarding the discrepancy in valet pricing and fees, I apologize for the confusion and for any misleading information on our website. This is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have, and I’ll ensure we update the information for greater transparency. Despite these issues, I appreciate your kind words about the hotel itself, and I do hope you’ll consider staying with us again. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and I hope we can make things right in the future.
