Detailed Reviews
This is a new hotel located just off Music Row. It’s northeast of the Vanderbilt campus and southwest of downtown and you can walk to The Union Station in less than 20 minutes, all of which should tell you it’s away from the ‘lively’ areas. The lobby and public areas were all immaculate in quite a stylish way, as was our room.
Speaking of our room, I appreciate the Fraye brand team wanting to make this a little different to every other hotel out there, and I think they succeeded. The décor was stylish, the carpet thick and comfy, and the bed a delight. I especially liked the walk-in shower and the motion-activated lighting down low beside the bed. (Saves you from stubbing your toes when moving around in the dark.)
But now the quirks. This might seem an odd thing to mention, but our room had no toilet roll holder of any kind. We had to put it on the floor or the countertop.
Another point: the lighting was really poor, even in the hallway area by the door. Plus, I’m not a fan of the exposed concrete ceiling. It was a little too much like sleeping in a bunker for my taste.
And one last point: we kept getting cold, no matter how much we tapped at the thermostat. I think it’s motion-activated, so be sure to get up and move around every couple of hours.
On the plus side though, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming, so it’s got that going for it. We also experienced very little traffic noise.
Overall, quirks aside, we enjoyed our first stay at a Fraye hotel. Would we go back? Probably, but there are a lot of other very good options in Nashville.

We stayed for three nights in December, arriving on a Saturday.
The room and bathroom were very nice and modern. Comfortable pillows and fabric, deluxe bathroom, large TV, and a good view of the pool and city. I don’t know the age of the hotel but it seemed to be newer. It also has a very nice gym with good equipment.
The two building issues that we shared with management were the shower doesn’t always stay hot (it goes hot then lukewarm then hot again) and the room temperature is hard to control. To get the room to 70 degrees at night, you had to set the thermostat at 78 degrees. We learned this by the third night but not after being cold on Night 1 and Night 2 (the bed blankets are thin). The ventilation system in the room has one small vent by the bathroom that constantly pumps out chilled air at all times. This chilled air competes with warm air coming from other vents. We had two adjacent rooms, and both rooms had the same issue of the cold vent battling with the warm vents. To compensate for the cold vent, we learned that you have to set the thermostat and heat to high. However, the bathroom was always cold as it is near the cold air vent.
The valet was pricey but the cost is probably normal city pricing. $48 per day. We don’t carry cash so we scanned the valet’s QR code to tip by credit card. This did not go well. First the online tipping system started with a recommendation of a $7 dollar tip. Too high for a tip in my opinion plus I don’t appreciate being given a tip recommendation. I adjusted to $5. When I went to process the transaction, it added a $1.65 processing charge…so now $6.65. A little annoyed at this point, I tried adjusting down to $3 except it only allows $5 as the minimum tip. So I left without tipping. My recommendation is to have a more flexible system - as this will result in more tips, and is appreciated by the customer.
We received no upgrades as a Lifetime Diamond members. The front desk comment was “sold out tonight” which probably was the case for a Saturday night. We did receive a standard $15 credit per person (maximum of 2) for breakfast in the restaurant. The restaurant has a menu only…no buffet. Very good food with an average charge of $30 per person (food, coffee and tip).
I will probably try a different Nashville Hilton property next time although the hotel was okay. It just didn’t wow me.

Loved the vibe, the room, and the restaurant attached. The decorating was trendy. The love music in the evening was pleasing. There is a coffee bar for the morning. The location is ideal. The room had robes, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, shampoo, constitute, shower gel, lotion, keurig and coffee/tea, fridge, a clock that had a phone charger attached, and a pretty nifty shower.
What could be improved?
The valet. The guy in the evening had a poor attitude. The gentlemen working during the day were friendlier, but still. It was one of the less impressive valet companies I've encountered.
There was a private event at the dj bar thing this hotel had. We were trying to find the pool/fireside hang out and walked in on the private event. It really just had poor signage to say that this was a private event and to show where the pool entry was. We weren't the only ones confused and looking for the fireside. I felt bad for the private event that kept getting walked into. Better signage could have really solved this problem.

I generally do not write reviews, but I wanted to warn other guest to think twice before staying here. It is a beautiful property, but staff does not do anything. We had a 2 night stay and the room was never cleaned or entered. We made multiple request for the room to be cleaned and towels delivered, but nobody ever came to the room. At $600 a night you think someone can bring towels up to the room. The staff always said they would send someone right up and nobody every came. After more request unfulfilled I had to go down to the lobby the morning of check out to get towels so we could shower before leaving. Members of The staff said they would look into it and get back to me about all of the non actions, which they didn't. Nothing gets done here, your all on your own.. If your ok with that and the amount spent it is a beautiful property with 2 great restaurants / bars. Rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. rooftop bar with live music and heated pool are terrific. both Restaurants staff were terrific. However the front desk staff is just abysmal they don't follow up on anything.
The valets were great as well, the valet inadvertently kept our key so when we stopped the car we were stranded as the car would not start backup without the key, but the valet came right out to meet us super quick to give us the key. Thankfully we did not drive far away before stopping.
I live in Dubai so I am probably spoiled by service over there, but I can easily say this is the worst hotel stay I have probably ever had. The staff does not exist

I brought my daughter to Nashville to visit Belmont University and we decided to stay for 4 days. I am a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at other Curio Collection hotels in the Hilton Portfolio. There were some very positive experiences, delicious food in the downstairs restaurant and some friendly, helpful staff. There were also some very negative experiences. Day 2 the pool bar didn't open at the scheduled 11:00 am time as "there weren't enough staff". Nobody refreshed the water jug at the pool deck and there were no cups provided. There is no food served after 9:00 pm and no room service. One evening we came back from a show at the Grand Old Opry at 10:15pm and were starving as we hadn't had any dinner and there was no food available anywhere in the hotel. When we asked for take out options we were given menus to local restaurants who when we inquired, said they didn't deliver to our hotel. We were supposed to get free bottles of water in our room every day. These were only provided on our first day. Every subsequent day we had to request them. There was also no AC in the gym, which was stifling. This Curio Collection Hotel is not up to par with other Curio Collection hotels in the Hilton Collection and I would not go back in the future.

Hotel as such is nice, rather new and modern.
A few things made it a bummer for us.
Firstly, the ventilation in all the bathrooms of the bedrooms are operating 7/24. Never stop and you hear that sound all night. For us that meant not sleeping well at all.
Of course, we talked to the staff. They said that many people complain about that. And that it is the unfortunately the design of this place and they wished it was different, but nothing can be done.
Secondly, when we checked in as gold members, we were told that we would get a credit for consumption for 15 USD/p.p. per day and it would not matter whether we use it on the arrival day and the 2nd day or the second day and the departure day.
On the departure day the bill didn’t show the credit and when we asked for it, they said that they had forgotten to deduct it. And would only do it for the one day.
They were pretty unfriendly, too.
Altogether, whilst the hotel seems nice, modern and (relatively) clean, we felt it was a bit of a ripoff.
The double espresso for breakfast was ca 9 USD by the way.

The hotel decor is beautiful, most of the staff was very friendly & helpful. My biggest complain is the dog relief area is so tiny anything other than a yorkie can’t pee on it.
For your dog to be able to poop you beed to get in your car and drive 2 minutes to Centennial park. The location of the hotel is good around 5 min drive to all the bard in Broadway, near restaurants & the University.
The rooms are big a comfy, the bathrobes are great quality, the shower water gets very hot and steamy.
The pool area looks very nice and well kept.

Checked in on a Saturday poolside room on the ninth floor. The sound coming from the pool level bar was so loud I asked to be moved. They moved me to the 14th floor. The sound from the 14th floor still obvious but not crazy. I didn’t hear much on Sunday so all was well. On Monday at around 6 PM the sound was so loud coming from poolside bar, I just couldn’t take it anymore. Strange thing was I didn’t see anybody even in the area down there. I asked to be moved to a location not overlooking the pool side. This was an absolute huge mistake moments upon walking in the room, the music coming from outside was absolutely ridiculous. Opening up the drapes about two diagonal blocks away. I could see an outside music venue. This was blasting music so loud it was making me crazy . I wasn’t going to go through the hassle again of changing room I figured I just deal with it . It was insanely loud. Finally around 10:30 PM central time the music stopped and I was able to go to sleep. Apparently, every once in a while on Monday that outside venue has live concerts I wish I would have known.
Such a shame an absolute, beautiful modern hotel with a great staff . But as a business traveler, I need something at least somewhat quiet to get work done and also to get a good nights sleep and unfortunately I can never stay at this location ever again unless somehow they replace all the windows with sound proof glass.

This is a modern luxury hotel in downtown Nashville, though in a less busy area some distance from the nightlife district. I stayed here for one night and found my room to be very comfortable and well designed, though not without issues; issues that unfortunately went unresolved when reported. With the eye-watering rates this hotel charges, I expected better responsiveness.
I'd also like to inform anyone arriving by car that there is absolutely no need to spring the $52 for valet parking; nearby street and garage parking is safe, plentiful and available at less than half of that. On a positive note, definitely do not miss out on the pool as It has a fantastic view, is spacious enough to handle many guests and has a bar conveniently located right next to it.

The pool area was beautiful, but the overwhelming smell of grease from the famous Hattie B's restaurant (directly below the pool area) made it uncomfortable to sit out by the pool, unless you like the heavy smell of grease. The service was excellent at the hotel and if you are not there for relaxation by the pool, I would highly recommend. The location of this hotel in mid-town was also convenient to see many areas of Nashville, within walking distance.
