At Virgin Hotels Nashville, guests are charmed by the stylish, music-themed decor that contributes to a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. The hotel's location is celebrated for its convenience to local hotspots while providing a respite from downtown bustle. Rooms are noted for their chic design, though some visitors report issues with cleanliness and surprise charges. The rooftop pool and other amenities are popular, despite additional fees. While the staff's friendliness is often praised, service can be hit-or-miss, and concerns about value for money are common among travelers.

Traveling from Dallas to Nashville was my first trip since February. I felt safe at all times and for the weekend I was at the Virgin Hotels Nashville, I felt somewhat "normal" again. Drinks at the Rooftop Pool Club was a perfect way to kick-off the weekend. Great views, the sunshine and some very tasty Jalapeno Cucumber Margaritas hit the spot! My room was comfortable, spacious and had everything I needed for my stay, including a bed that put me to sleep the minute my head hit the pillow. Dinner at the Commons Club was delicious and service was amazing. Very attentive and knowledgeable servers. The hotel does a good job of managing capacities, both in the restaurants and elevators, which made me feel safe. All of the hotel staff wear masks and there are hand sanitizing stations at the entrance, near the elevators and at the front desk. I enjoyed coffee and a light breakfast at the Funny Library one morning and room service another morning. Both were enjoyable experiences, with timely service, a variety of local and healthy options as well as preparation and handling that made me feel safe. There was still plenty to do in the area with shopping, museums, restaurants, and live music. I will definitely be back and will bring some friends for a long-weekend.It was a great time!

We stayed at the hotel for one night in February, and had been told all great things about it. And leading up to our visit, the emails and surveys we received from Virgin lead us to believe (or assume) that this location was worth not staying central to everything in Nashville, but a few blocks off. However, either we hit an off night, or our assumptions were amiss.
The staff was friendly, and the valets and front desk at check in were great. The room was unique in design and décor, and reminded us to our stays on a cruise ship in design (offering a lot in a small space). We are giving the hotel a rating of very good, however, more out of generosity and understanding that we are in difficult times right now. But here are some items that we hope were not usual for such a highly recommended location.
The room. Temperature control. The room was 73 on arrival, but we could only get it down to 70 overnight, it stayed warm. Mini-fridge. We don't expect anything usually in our mini-fridge on arrival, but the surveys leading up to our stay, led us to think that it would be stocked (questions, such as what is a must have if stocked?). We noted a few things, to include chocolate. We ended up with a kit kat bar. Good thing, we love kit kat bars, but for the Virgin, this was surprising. The electronics in the room, to include an ease to stream to our room TV, was greatly appreciated. It made
Food. No room service. So we checked out the onsite food. We were encouraged to try the downstairs bar, and were told about the upstairs Patio/lounge. The downstairs had a limited menu, the patio a much broader menu, but then we found upstairs was limited seating and required reservations (and the staff member wasn't exactly pushing for us to go for the reservation option, noting they could try and see if something was available but not sincerely). We opted for the downstairs bar. The food was very good, but the area was crowded, tightly spaced, and covid protocols by groups were being ignored completely. We ate quickly and left.
Check-out was quick and easy. Valets are some of the friendlies we have ever met.
Value vs. price was not met on this trip, but we see the uniqueness of the hotel and do believe it was an off night for the hotel.

Overall this hotel was very good. I was here for a wedding this weekend and most of the wedding party was also staying here. The people I interacted with were overwhelmingly friendly, and the hotel had a fun hip vibe. I liked the room quite a bit. The shower was large and I appreciated that you could test the water before actually committing to it. the whole sliding barn door thing was an interesting concept. i didnt put it to use, but thought it was cool. The room was great overall - bed comfortable, I appreciated that there were plugs everywhere that made charging devices easy. Controls for the lights etc were a tad confusing at first, but I figured it out and it was good. One thing that was a little confusing overall, though. First, I know we are in covid, I know that staffing issues plague hotels. They gave me a sheet at check in that said they werent doing a full cleaning every day but that I could call for anything I needed. Fair enough, I know that's standard. However, on the first day after my first night I got kind of a late start and found a note outside my door saying that they saw my room was occupied and so they didnt interrupt me to make up my room, but to call and request a cleaning if I wanted it. So I did. They came when I was away and replenished the coffee and cleared some towels out as well as the trash. Which I appreciated. But I was suprised that, having done eerything else, they didnt make my bed. That just felt weird to me. If they're going to come in and do everything else, why not the bed too? I get that it's covid, but come on. I got a very reduced rate as i was part of a wedding block, so that's fine. However, had I been paying the $600+ a night rate that I saw the rooms were going for closer in, I'd have been annoyed.
I had a delicious coffee downstairs and only had a chance to see but not fully experience the roof deck.
Overall, I liked this hotel and appreciated my stay. I'd just note the housekeeping inconsistency which struck me as odd.

Greetings jasoncrh, Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed account of your stay with the TripAdvisor Community. It looks like you really enjoyed your time with us and we are happy to hear it! Just a note about our housekeeping services - We do offer limited stayover service at this time due to covid. The sheet you referenced in your review does explain this. It appears that our housekeeping team came to your door to provide the limited stay over service but wanted to respect your request for privacy. We appreciate your comments and will work with our team to ensure all guests are receiving their stayover service. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! I will make sure we clean your room each and every day!!! Cheers, Joshua Schaeffer Director of Operations

First off, if you're looking for a rooftop pool to enjoy some cocktails, this is it. The views are fantastic coupled with a very comfortable room. Will definitely return.

The team follows proper covid procedures, ample sanitation stations all around and able to accommodate any requests while ensuring the safety of all.

We decided to do a staycation at this new hotel last week and very much enjoyed the facilities and the roof top pool. The service the day of our stay was great. However, this is just a heads up in regards to the pricing on their website and our experience after with customer service. When we booked it showed the room price of $236 and stated there was a 35% discount for Tennessee residents when you showed your ID at check-in. There was no other price listed for the room on the site other than the $236. So my friend showed her Tennessee ID at check-in and confirmed we would receive the discount off of our room. However, when we checked out we realized we had been charged for valet parking though we did not drive a vehicle to the hotel. Once we saw that charge we noticed we had not been given the discount on the room either. When we talked to a manager they informed us that the price on the website is already discounted for Tennessee residents. Now this was not clear at all on the website as it was the only price listed and we communicated that to the manager. Her response was that at check-in if you are not actually a Tennessee resident then they would quote you the new price based on the nightly rate that changes every day and then you could decide if you wanted to stay or not at that new nightly rate. I have stayed at many hotels and book travel as part of my job and have never heard of this which we expressed to the manager. It seems very misleading and was not a good customer service experience.

We come to Nashville often as we re in the music industry and have wonderful family here in Nashville. We stayed for a full week In two beautiful suites but will never be returning to the Virgin. The staff for the most part was incredibly rude and unfriendly...which is so unusual for the wonderful people in Nashville. There were a few kind people like James who works as a Valet but rare. The service here was non existent with no room service, no room cleaning except for getting new towels if you call upon request. We had family guests come to the hotel and when checking in at the desk to inform them on two separate occasions did not go well. They were angry to have to call up and actually gave our guests a difficult time. Our guests texted me so we just went down to greet them and be on our way. The service outside at the bar and patio was non existent. The tables are incredibly dirty and never cleaned. We got a rag each day and cleaned them ourselves. The pool on the roof is beautiful but only has enough lounge chairs for about 18 people and they were all saved each morning by 8 am. This is. Very large hotel so really impossible to ever get to enjoy it We tried several times with no luck. The staff did nothing to help the many that could never get a seat. Lastly the lack of warmth and kindness and just general welcoming feeling was just not there.and so unusual for besutiful Nashville . I could go on and on but never been so disappointed. We re coming back again in about 12 days and will most certainly be stay somewhere else. I’ve never left a bad review for a hotel like this but felt it important to get the word out. We will most certainly be informing others in the business to move on for a better experience

This hotel is in a nice location near Music Square, and several restaurants and bars are just a quick walk away. The valet guys were great. The cafe in the lobby was nice to get a chai or coffee at each morning before heading out. Overall, for the price, the newness of the hotel, and its location, it was a good stay. It is also dog friendly!

Be warned: They're only doing room service meals during certain specific daytime hours right now due to covid and there are no drink machines in the entire building, and there is no minibar in the room. When I called and asked where I could get a soda, I was told they had only diet coke and sprite and it took a while to get it brought up. I think they could maybe have tried to improve things for guests who want a water or a drink in the evening - maybe a complimentary bottle of water or two in each room would help. Just a very minor thing but figured it was worth noting. Pack your own drinks.

I apologize you were told that we did not have regular coca cola as we always have that available for our guests. Our minibars right now are "on demand" due to covid but ordering is very easy and we will have your requested items delivered in two shakes of a lambs tail! Come visit us again soon - I will have your room prestocked with lots of waters, cokes and snacks! Cheers, Joshua Schaeffer Director of Experience

We didn't have an awful stay here but given the cost per room vs. staying in a more budget Hampton Inn prior to this we expected it to be a lot better than we experienced

Check in - we arrived at 8pm only one desk open with another customer being served. A member of staff greeted us and said their colleague would be out to help us, a woman did come out but she proceeded to answer the phone and walk off into the hotel. We waited nearly 20mins to be seen. When we were eventually seen we were told nothing about the hotel facilities (pool club, restaurant, bar or coffee shop). Which sent me on a wild goose chase around the hotel on our second day trying to get access to the rooftop pool.

Room- when we got to our room it was dirty, half eaten food in the fridge, half filled mini bar. Toliet had not been flushed and had used toliet paper sitting in it and all our beds were not fully made. We got our room changed but the bed sheets in the second room were dirty, these did get changed when we raised the next day but not the best experience. Especially when the hotel say they have "enhanced cleaning in place"

Hotel decor and facilities are all top class and what you'd expect from the virgin brand and from modern hotel.
Beds were really comfortable, great shower and bathroom and lots of good TV which also doubled as a controller for the room.

For the most part the other staff interactions we had we're great but service standards and consistency are what really let this place down.

The hotel’s location is far from the action. If you want to walk out your hotel to restaurants and shops get your tennis shoes on! The nearest nice area is several blocks and a walk over the interstate highway. If you want to go to Broadway you need to drive or Uber. Rest assure the party buss still venture all the way to the Virgin hotel all night long for you to hear until about 2:00am.
The rooms are more like lofts, by no means a luxurious escape from home. The hotel allows dogs which I love, but know that this entails dogs barking sometimes Incessantly for hours.
There is no housekeeping. Which means no-ones coming in to tidy up your room, make the bed or restock the towels. If you want a new wash cloth or bath towel you have to call the front desk and hope someone answers and then wait for them to bring you the towels. I saw one person even snatching towels from the pool area just to have a fresh towel to shower. They said this was due to COVID but trust me the hotel is not concerned about COVID if you see the action at the pool.
The pool is the one redeeming quality of this hotel. The vibe is fun with a DJ, great drinks, attentive staff and good food. The only problem is that you will likely have trouble finding a place to sit unless you arrive at 8:00am and the pool is cold. Not a place I would bring kids!
We were given breakfast credits with our stay. This was a joke. One day we thought about using the credit but from the looks of the disheveled little coffee stand paired with the customer yelling at the person at the front desk- I’m sure for the same reason we were unhappy- we left and went to Milk and Honey.
The second morning we ordered breakfast at the little coffee stand. We then proceeded to clean the table, left with beer from the night before, so we could sit down and waited for our food to come. The man next to us said he waited 45 min. The food never came. When we were able to find someone she attempted to give us someone else’s order and would see where ours was. This was 30 min after ordering. We waited 10 more minutes and then left at ate somewhere else.
The is not a Concierge’s desk for you to find help with making reservations or directions on where you should go in Nashville. The one person standing at the small front desk is your go to for simple reconditions and tries her very best.

My wife and I stayed there for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The Service we experienced was spectacular from the Doorman to the Check In Experience to the service in the Pool Club and the Commons Club. The Mini Bar prices were similar to what we would pay in the market up the street. Drinks and appetizers in both clubs were on point. I would recommend the Nashioned as my favorite drink there.
The room (or Chamber as it's called) was very spacious and the King Bed was incredibly Comfortable. Even the coffee in the room was the best I have had in a hotel. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone.
