The JW Marriott Nashville garners praise for its array of luxurious amenities, from the well-equipped rooms to the executive lounge and pool area, all set in an unbeatable location that guests love for its accessibility to Nashville's top attractions. While the hotel's cleanliness is consistently applauded, with spotless rooms and well-maintained facilities, some guests feel that the pricing doesn't match the value received, pointing to costly extras. Despite occasional feedback about noise and service inconsistencies, many travelers celebrate the comfortable rooms and the professional staff, making it a popular choice for those seeking a stylish and convenient stay in the heart of Nashville.

I stayed shortly after they reopened and had a wonderful experience. I booked a trip to celebrate my anniversary with my girlfriend and we were treated like VIPs from the minute we walked in. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, they even sent a bottle of champagne sent to the room when they heard about our special occasion! Traveling during COVID days is no doubt strange but they took every precaution necessary to make guests feel safe. There were hand sanitizer stations what felt like every 5 feet, everyone was wearing masks and staff was always out cleaning. I look forward to returning and thank everyone at the property for going above and beyond to make our first-time trip to Nashville uniquely special! We will be back!!

Had a 4th of July trip to Nashville planned and was intending to stay Friday and Saturday nights at the JW Marriott. Our travel party was 7 (4 rooms) and we were meeting another travel party of 6. We had initially booked through Expedia as I had points and free nights accumulated. As we were leaving Illinois on Thursday morning, Nashville announced closing of bars. After significant back and forth, we decided to head that way, cancel through Expedia for Friday and Saturday, and rebooked directly through JW for Saturday night only. The team was super accommodating and we showed up Saturday morning with a good taste in our mouth and ready to see what was open. I had reserved a cabana for the day through Trey and team and it was the highlight of the trip. We spent almost 6hrs by the pool, had an awesome meal at Puckett's, and found an open honkytonk down on Broadway. The flexibility of the JW team allowed our kids to have an awesome 21st birthday. Hotel was in awesome shape and the staff made it feel as though we were in a luxury hotel, while implementing safety precautions to ensure everyone felt safe.

Dear Mellingson1972, It was such a pleasure to host you and your group for their 21st birthdays! We are so delighted that you enjoyed your time here in Nashville and at our luxury hotel. The poolside rooftop cabanas are such a fun, relaxing way to spend the day and while I'm sure the temporary closure of downtown bars was a slight inconvenience for you and your group, I'm glad our resort-like amenities were able to help you all celebrate in style. Trey is truly an asset to our property, he will be so thrilled to hear that you mentioned him. We loved having the opportunity to host you during your Nashville travels and thank you for choosing our downtown hotel. We hope to have the pleasure of your company again soon. Until then... Yours in hospitality, Hanna Bankston

I will say that the JW Marriott provides excellent customer service and offers a great location to all things downtown Nashville. Lobby, Valet, and Bell service was A+ in my book. However, the additional fees to everything on the property is concerning. The days of only seeing "fill in the blank fees", "delivery fees", and "valet fees" at resort or beach destinations are gone.

1) Valet parking fee:$42 USD daily: No car wash, oil change, tire rotation, or complimentary coffee at the cafe included. I always tip valet service $3-$5 per interaction and with the $42 required valet ticket per day, you can end up spending half a Benjamin per day in valet costs. Off premises parking is available if you want to risk one of the public lots.

Wifi fee of $7.99 USD daily unless you have a Bonvoy (Marriott Rewards) account. Make sure that your Convoy account is setup and linked to your reservation prior to arrival or be expected to call in an escalation to customer care if you wish to use wifi.

Minimum Delivery Fee of $5 USD for room service. If you expect to get a pot of coffee delivered to your room, that coffee currently runs $12 USD (excluding required gratuity of 22% / $3.74). The total for one miniature pot of coffee ended up being $22.97 USD (Including tax, required gratuity, and delivery fee).

In the post COVID era, a guest should have an option to opt out of the $5 room delivery fee to walk downstairs to pick up the pot of coffee and then instead tip the cafe employee that $5 or more.

I'm not a direct descendent of the Vanderbilt family, but the amount of fees that the average blue collar family ends up paying is astounding in 2021. If you want to stay near downtown and want to be within walking distance of Bridgestone, Tootsie's, the Opry, etc. Be prepared for feestravaganza at the JW. If money is not an issue, I highly recommend the JW for anyone wanting to experience all things Nashville. If you're on a budget and plan on bringing your family, you may want to check out the JW website ahead of time for a detailed fee list prior to booking.

As a business traveler, I just had one of the worst stays of my life in this hotel. It is no surprise that they are a franchise, and not operated as a true Marriott. Below is a summary of my terrible 3 night stay:

1) Day one: entire room smelled like smoke upon check in. Staff said it is from the restaurant and there is nothing they can do. They offered to put some machine in the room to ventilate it which would take minimum an hour, and I could just step out for a bit. It was 8pm at night, so no I wasn’t looking to do this. I sucked it up and each consecutive night the smoke smell reappeared
2) Day two: this was probably the worst night. I was lucky enough to find a disgusting bloody bandaid on the nightstand when I plugged in my charger. Not only that, I left the room around 7:45am that morning, and upon returning at 5:15pm the room had not been serviced. My breakfast tray was still out on the bed with leftover milk sitting out all day. I called asking to speak to the manager and they said he/she was very busy and unable to speak at this time.
3) Day three: I left the room around 8:15am, and called guest services asking if they could send housekeeping up right away, since I would be back at 11:30am. They said no problem. At 12:45pm I returned to my room and housekeeping had still not come. They arrived shortly after, and the woman had no idea what I was talking about when I asked why the room had not been serviced earlier. When I called guest services to find out what happened the guy on the phone, Shawn, had no idea what I was talking about. He also agreed that he should have followed up with housekeeping to ensure the room was serviced during that window.

The hotel offered to give me a credit for my dining expenses, but I demanded a credit on the dining charges, which they did not reflect in the invoice I just received. When I called about it the woman on the line continuously asked me who had offered me the dining credit, as if I should know the name of who I spoke to. When I told her it was a woman at 5:15pm on Friday she still could not narrow it down and said the manager, who is very busy, would call me back later today to discuss the matter. Very busy attending to your disappointed customers one after the other, huh?

I seriously think I have high blood pressure from my frustration at this hotel. You call yourselves luxury? Do not stay here: you’re better off at the Sheraton or Omni down the street.

There can be no better way to enjoy everything happening in the Heart of Nashville than to book yourself into the JW Marriott. From the moment you leave your vehicle at the front door (thank you to Chris & Crew in Valet) and are swept into that beautiful lobby you feel cared for. Everyone was genuinely glad that my friends and I had arrived safely and would be staying there. Even through our masks, conversation and smiles were exchanged. This location puts you within a block of Music City Center, Broadway, Bridgestone Arena, and the Frist. Choices for restaurants are great. Stompin' Grounds Market in JWM was perfect for a late lunch and the illy coffee with a chestnut & bourbon macaron was the best selection as a 'to go' treat. Every detail of the JWM is luxurious and the warmth of their staff elevates the time spent there. Hats off to James Hill who felt like family as he assisted us when we left. Back home and I am thinking of when to schedule my next trip. Hey! I just remembered that the Frist currently has a major Picasso exhibit.

Dear donnagV1241VN, What a wonderful review to receive! Thank you for taking time to share your recent experience with us. We are so grateful to have a convenient downtown location within easy walking distance to Broadway while still far enough removed for guests to feel as if they are returning "home" after a fun night out listening to live music. Also, thank you for your kind words about our friendly, knowledgeable, and professional hotel associates, which to us, apart from your valued business, maybe the biggest compliment as we pride ourselves on providing the most attentive service in Nashville. Although, being able to match that level of service with pristine guestrooms and stunning skyline views from every vantage point, is truly what sets us apart from other hotels in the area. I can't wait to tell James that you mentioned him by name and that he served to make your JW Marriott Nashville experience that much brighter. Again. thank you for your glowing review. We are counting the days until we can have the pleasure of your company again! Until then, stay well, Hanna Bankston PS - The Picasso exhibit is phenomenal. Highly recommend and, as I'm sure you're aware, the Frist Art Center is less than a block from our hotel!

Our plans to visit Vegas changed last minute. Since bags were packed & plane tickets purchased it was time to find a new destination. After sending an email to the Director of Operations at the JW Marriott addressing a couple concerns, we made the decision to cancel reservations, change plane tickets and head to Nashville.

Upon arriving early morning on Sunday, we were greeted by the smiling eyes of Shecorya at the reception desk. Somehow our original reservation was lost in the system but without hesitation she solved the issue and found us a room that was ready for us to occupy immediately. We had been upgraded to a suite due to our Bonvoy Titanium Elite status. We were so excited to unpack, enjoy breakfast and take on Nashville.

We enjoyed much needed coffee and delicious breakfast at the Stomping Grounds served by Racquel. She was so pleasant and gave us great service, tips about the hotel and good conversation. With a full stomach we set off to explore the hotel.

The year round heated pool is located on the third floor outside of the spa and gym area. The Cabana Club was not opening until Friday looks like a perfect place to enjoy poolside cocktails.

Boubon Steak by Michael Mina is located on the 34th floor and has beautiful views of the Nashville skyline. Even if you only grab a cocktail, you do not want to miss this. Seth, head bartender, knows how to create a anything you desire.

The Cumberland Bar located off the lobby became our nightly stop for a nightcap. Every bartender was fast with service and friendly. There are socially distant seats at the bar, tables by the window for a great view or a private seating area with the most beautiful display of crystal decanters.

We also enjoyed daily breakfast in bed served by Mariam. The room service was quick on delivery and allowed us to linger in bed to enjoy the views from our room.

The attention to detail throughout the hotel was amazing. The list of amenities is endless. Location is perfect with a quick walk to the action on Broadway or a quiet escape to the Frist Art Museum. We did spend several
mornings poolside to rejuvenate from the
evening prior. On our next visit we will make
sure to visit the spa!

In closing, I am glad Vegas was not in the cards
this time...we were winners in Nashville and
cannot wait to revisit in the fall. We are Marriott
loyal...Marriott never lets you down!

From check in to check out, the service was absolutely amazing. With the help of Steve, we were able to order bottle service to the room and it was perfectly chilled and the presentation was so clean. We were able to add a late check out which made our experience so much more relaxing without the rush. All the staff including Scott, James and Joel were so helpful and ensuring our experience was effortless! We were able to have them hold our bags while we went off to brunch, then come back and pick up our bags and the car all in one. Less than a 10 minute process it was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!

We’ve stayed at quite a few hotels in Nashville and the JW Marriott is head and shoulders above the competition. Every aspect of the stay was exceptional. The room was very comfortable, the corner location provided great views from the 22nd floor, and the room service breakfast was top notch. The fitness center even had Peloton bikes for use! We will definitely look to stay here on all of our future visits.

We compared this hotel to the Soffitel Darling Harbour, which was half the price of the JW Marriott. We arrived in a taxi from the airport, no one came to help us with our bags, the taxi driver helped get them out and we were on our own. We arrived at reception and Cate, checked us in, she was lovely, very polite and helpful. We then went up to our room. Please don't get me wrong, the hotel and room was lovely, there was no "service" from the staff. I asked for tea from the lady who was turning down the bed, "sorry no tea, would you like coffee" I don't drink coffee, she said she would come back, never saw here again. this happened 2 nights in a row. The location is a little far out also, so had a bit of uphill walking to do, which was not too bad, but other hotels closer to Broadway would have been better for us. Upon check out, Cate again helped, asked about our stay, told her I compared it to the Soffitel Darling Harbour Sydney, but did not ask any further questions. Overall, for the price we paid, it had no substance, or free wi fi, they wanted an additional fee for this.... really......
