Way too expensive for a one night stay. no smoking is good for some but not for others. I liked the security of the elevator. Like I said, I was expecting maybe 80-90 a night but 217 is way out of the affordable range.
I stayed on a Saturday night and there must have been a party going on at the ground level as it was extremely noisy. The bass from the music at the party was so loud the room vibrated and it continued till after 12.30 AM....More

Starting with something nice....it is located near the airport and, while there is nothing near it, it is close to the interstate to get you somewhere else. Also...the only bugs in my room are the million lady bugs.

This place is very eclectic in its decorating which makes it fun! Just look at pics online and you should be able to see.. There were velvet pictures, bright carpet, and crazy lighting. I enjoyed it. And the bar has a fun event every night...More

I would agree with the consensus of other posters that the Preston is safe and in a safe neighborhood. The motel itself, as others also noted is in the process of renovating, so what you experience a year from now may be very different from our experiences. We enjoyed our stay, but I wish I had realized ahead of time that they didn't offer food service at lunch. The overall vibe is kind of funky with lots of retro touches.
