Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Detailed Reviews
I had never been to Nashville so I picked a hotel at random read a few reviews and went with it. The Westin is a nice hotel I liked the modern feel of the lobby. The front desk clerk (Tey) was great. She was welcoming and informative. My room was very clean I even ran my finger over an area that looked a little dusty but it was just a matte paint. The bed was amazingly comfortable but like most hotels the pillows were awful. There is a small bar/grill on the first floor off the lobby and the woman who worked in the morning (I didn't get her name) was really nice and personable, John at night was also great. I did also enjoy a spa treatment Carli at the front desk was super nice and Brittany who gave the massage was perfect. I actually returned the next day to purchase the product that had been used during my massage. If I have to say anything negative it would be the charge against your card that takes a couple weeks to remove. I don't want to pay interest on that. And the towels were frayed at the edges this hotel is to expensive for that.
All in all it's the staff that make this place great.
Tip: Easy walk to Broadway.

Ask for better pillows on check in. Have to rank these pillows in our room worse than the $49 a night motel. This really is a nice hotel which makes you scratch your head. We did ask for better pillows and they brought two extras up while we were out.
We stayed for three nights, after the first night we had housekeeping straighten up. They left just “one” clean bath towel. Had to call for addition towel. We travel a bunch, we also are so not like some that complain about anything and everything. Maybe she forgot two people were staying in the room?
Most 4 star plus hotels earn the ranking accordingly, but ultimately it comes down to the details.
We did like the walk in tiled shower, view of the city from our 17th floor room window was great plus attached to the hotel “Oak steakhouse” was a very nice dinner before we went to a show.
Btw, 10-15 minute walk to Broadway (all the action) and 5-10 min walk to the Gulch, so this hotel for us was in a perfect location.

I would have given this a 5, except as a lifetime Marriott Platinum member, I should not have had to press for an upgrade upon checking in at 3 a.m. Our plane was delayed, we got to check in at 3 a.m. I had done a search and knew there were better rooms available at check in for the duration of our stay, but the desk clerk lied and said there was nothing available. The second clerk came over and said they had already Upgraded us to a corner room, with an extra window. It makes you want to break up with Marriott when they pull this stunt.
That said, our room, adjacent to the bank of three elevators was extremely quiet, we could not here the elevators and the room itself was so quiet that even on New Year’s eve, we did not hear any hallway noise. The beds were extraordinarily comfortable, I would recommend this place to others, but if you are looking for an upgrade expect to have to fight for it.

If you're going to visit during the pandemic I would recommend you save your money and find a place that's a bit more affordable. They have removed the coffee makers, microwaves, and ice buckets from the rooms. However you can get a very small cup of coffee from the front desk for the fee of $5. But I can promise you this is no Starbucks Coffee. There are refrigerators in the rooms but they are locked so they cannot be used. The bath towels are frayed and stringy which you really would not expect at a hotel of this caliber. Most of the front desk staff was pretty stuffy and not really all that helpful. If you want to use the beautiful rooftop pool or the L27 lounge you need to make your reservation well in advance. We were there for 4 days and were not able to use the pool one time because it's so small and there are so many guests you could not get a reservation. We managed to get into the lounge twice but we had to sit inside. Rhapsody Spa was their shining star! It might be their only star! The spa services are exceptional! The Oak Steakhouse just outside and around the corner (but in the same building) is pricey but WELL worth the money. I cannot stress that enough! However if you're going to visit Nashville during the pandemic I would highly recommend you skip the Westin and find some place a bit more affordable. Perhaps it'll be better after the pandemic but right now it's just not worth it! One last thing! Parking is a whopping $45 a night!!! However there is a lot just behind the hotel that is $20 a night. We parked there four nights with absolutely zero issues!

In the lobby, they have a window display advertising disinfecting cleaning product to make guests feel safe when staying at there hotel. My boyfriend & I stayed there for 3 nights.
2 days later we discovered that the underneath covers were moldy & behind the tv stand, we found used face masks empty plastic water bottle & all kind of paper trash. We brought it to the staff's attention & all they gave us was a $30 discount on a $761 bill. Will not be staying there again.

Sheets smelled of mildew. Had to call 2 times to get sheets changed before we could think of sleeping in the bed. Next day, we found out that unlike the sign read, you do not get fresh towels or the bed made. Stay clear of this hotel. They are short handed and at $400/night, one should receive a fresh towel

I would urge anyone to stay here. Great experience and amazing Service. Keith at the Front Desk was spectacular and was absolutely incredible in helping us on our stay. L-27 was fabulous and you should definitely go. The rooms were impeccably clean, there was great care in making you feel safe, comfortable and clearly made the extra effort in cleaning and safety. I will be back for fun. If you have time, visit the Oak Steakhouse. Absolutely delicious with first rate service.

This is a gorgeous hotel in a nice location between Broadway and the Gulch. Service is excellent, and the staff is kind. One word of advice is to be sure to check your bill thoroughly for mini-bar charges. My business partner and I were both charged for random snack and drink items from the mini-bar that we did not take nor consume. This seems very odd to me that this would occur in two separate rooms on different floors. Westin agreed to take the charges off, but I could see how this could be easily missed on an itemized bill.

I had an employee let themselves in my room as I was changing clothes. She said she was checking the room. They also boast 24 hour room service which is simply not true. You cannot even order coffee until 6 am despite having 24 hour room service (I’m here on business and was leaving at 6 am). I asked for cream or milk so I could make coffee in the room and was told I had to wait until 6 for that. I am allergic to coffeemate which 2 of the shelf stable version is all they offered prior to 6 am. There is no store in the hotel and nothing within walking distance to grab sundries or even the coveted coffee. I would not pick this hotel for business or vacation. It’s the least luxurious luxury hotel I’ve ever been to. Stay next door at the Omni.

Bad impression from the start. At check in we were given no hotel information only that the hotel provided 24 hour room service. Nothing about the other hotel amenities or the surrounding area.
The room appeared nice but there were a few issues. No price list for the mini bar. It was unclear if the small water bottle was free. Very few plugs which we needed to charge phones etc.
The bathroom looked good but the shower for a new hotel was awful. Don’t bother with the hairdryer and the towels were thin and tiny.
Also be careful with the door or you might get locked in!
The concierge was very helpful but the rest of the staff were not at all nice.
The rooftop bar is nice but I ordered a bottle of wine and was charged 24% tax!!!
To cap off our stay the maid started banging on our door three hours before check out on our last morning despite a do not disturb sign on the door.
I definitely would not recommend this hotel.
Fur coat and .... comes to mind

No shuttle.
You can take a taxi, Uber, Lyft…
For taxis, there were so many waiting at the airport, at your arrival, there’s barely any wait.
And for the return, the parking valet staff at the Westin called one for me and within minutes, the taxi was there to take me back to the airport.
