Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was walking the Great Victorian Rail Trail with a backpack and tent, and after two days walk from Tallarook, I was very glad to find the level of comfort that the Yea Riverside Caravan Park provided. I had an unpowered site at the rear of the park, on a wide and green lawn with plenty of shade. The park has the Yea River going right around it like a kind of moat, so it felt safe and secure. The amenities block at the back of the park has private toilet/shower rooms which was just like being at home. The camp kitchen was clean and well stocked with many utensils and pots. It included a microwave, fridge, toaster, electric jug, gas stove and electric barbaque. There were powerpoints in the kitchen and the bathrooms where I was able to recharge my phone.

There is only one park in Yea so that is where we headed. Right from the start we were very happy with coming here. The service on entry was friendly and accommodating, we were allowed to change our site from the first one we chose, we were a bit of a pain but we weren't made to feel like this. We set up and had a quick look around. It is a very pretty well maintained park and we are very happy to be here. We had been waiting for the easing of restrictions announcements which didn't really meet our expectations so we have decided to stay here one extra night. We are members of Top parks so we received a discount on booking in and when we went back to book another night we were happy to receive an extra discount on another night's booking.

Lovely park, super clean with great facilities. Lovely mix of visitors and permanent residents gives the park a nice energy. If you have a dog they will love all the rivers that run through the park

With both powered and non powered sites and super competitive rates, the park is exceptional value for money

WOW Steve thanks for the lovely review. I am guessing you had a great time here. I agree with you we do have a lovely mix of people who come here and it makes for a very enjoyable time. Many of the dogs would love to go for a swim as I assume yours did. Thank you again Steve and we hope to see you again soon. Cheers Jenny Manager

My family and I camped at Yea Riverside Caravan Park for the long weekend and unfortunately we had the displeasure of camping near some loud and noisy other campers (big group of 5 families). There was loud music, a dog barking, offensive language and kids screaming well after midnight 3 nights in a row. This somewhat ruined our weekend as we woke up tired and a bit grumpy from lack of sleep. I did contact the caravan park 3 times (left messages) asking if someone could please intervene and ask the other campers to turn down the music etc but I don’t think this occurred. I have suggested that the managers of the caravan park either drive around after 10pm to make sure that there’s not a lot of noise happening or pass on a mobile phone number where noise complaints can be made so that the person complaining is aware if something will be done or not.
Overall the park is nice and has a lot of good facilities but unfortunately our experience was dampened by other inconsiderate campers.

Yea Riverside is a lovely little park within walking distance of town and the wetlands walk. Clean amenities and pool area. Small camp kitchen provides basics and the recreation room is ideal for groups. We don’t travel long weekends so we had plenty of peaceful relaxation. Unfortunately we had to cut our sty short due to lockdown, but have been promised our remaining days can be used in the future. The special offer of stay for 5 days but only pay for 4 was a good incentive to stay longer and check out the area.

Spent a weekend here with family. Where at this park a few years back and very ordinary. New owners and managers have done a great job revitalising the park. Facilities and open space quite impressive. Close to town and all facilities.

We have stayed here previously and had a wonderful experience so booked in again. Unfortunately we had a mechanical issue with our motorhome and had to postpone our trip. Lexi was very helpful and we have 'parked' our paid booking until we are able to get back on the road.

It was just my husband and I staying in our caravan for 3 days. Great spot for a few days if you want to do nothing. Walking distance into town. Great that it's 🐕 friendly. The unpowered sites were in a really good spot..... Green grass and shaded. The caravan site that we had was dusty and lots of stones but they weren't all like that. Shared facilities were very good.

Hi Amelia. I am glad you had a relaxing time at out park, as all our powered sites were fully booked due to the fire evacuations when you were here. We try and offer powered sites to suit all size vans, including larger styles like your own. We are now receiving some rain. Yay.

The park was cosy and clean. Some facilities were still being restored and upgraded due to massive flooding in January but the ones available (flushable toilets, hot showers, kitchens, BBQ stations) were very clean because of mostly responsible fellow campers and regular checks/clean from the staff, “Dave The Man”. We were very lucky that majority of fellow campers (mostly families with young children) were friendly and respectful so we had wonderful days and peaceful night sleeps. We saw stars, colourful birds feeding on the fruits on the trees, nearly caught a giant carp and feasted on dangerously delicious pastries from a bakery within walking distance (including a beautiful pub, Foodworks, apparel shops, Rail trail for cyclists etc). Special mention on the staff, Dave and Leanne. Their high levels of professionalism and diligence ensured everyone had a safe and enjoyable stay. Definitely will return!

I faced several issues during my stay that made it quite challenging. Firstly, there were discrepancies with my booking - it was changed without proper notice and with some misleading information, and on arrival, despite assurances of a full refund regardless of my decision to stay or not, they are now refusing to honor that commitment. I've initiated disputes in multiple channels to secure what I'm owed.

Moreover, the amenities I paid for weren't provided as promised. Despite paying for three powered campsites, I was allocated only one, which was highly inconvenient for a group of 10 people. This oversight disrupted our plans significantly and was not at all acceptable.

What made matters worse was the overcrowding and lack of regard for safety. The park seemed to turn a blind eye to illegal camping in common areas, resulting in an uncomfortable and unsafe environment. The overall experience was disappointing, and I have serious doubts about their adherence to safety regulations.

In summary, based on my experience, I would strongly advise against choosing this park for anyone's holiday plans. It's crucial to prioritize customer satisfaction, safety, and adherence to commitments, which unfortunately this park failed to do.
