Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

booked in here for a weekend, stayed in a Riverview Luxury Cabin. Not sure why its called luxury, its probably newish and set out nice enough however its lacking the luxurious. The couch was quite old with all the underside coming off and hanging down. The bunk beds are not comfortable and the bedding in the bunks is definitely not luxury. They give you top sheets and I'm assuming this is so the doona cover doesn't get washed after you leave. It was very dusty feeling. The bedding in the queen bed is a top sheet with a doona (no cover) and then another top sheet on top of the doona. The lights weren't working and even though I asked for them to be fixed (just the globes) it wasn't attended to whilst we were there. At $270 a night its very expensive for a caravan park. These riverview cabins do have a view however there is a road between you and the river and then its a steep drop. wouldn't be safe for kids. The outdoor furniture had cobwebs and hadn't been wiped down. There was an ant problem in the kitchen and there was no fly spray there. The cutlery was bare minimum 2 wine glasses and 1 flute. No platters for entertaining. The barbecue area and playground are about a five minute walk (longer if you have kids). In saying all this the playground area is amazing for the kids so much to do, so if you are keen on just having some time away and letting the kids run wild then this would be the place if you don't mind spending $$$. $270 a night is way too expensive for a cabin in a caravan park in my view. The park was absolutely packed so obviously they get away with charging these prices, but they won't get me again, not in a cabin anyway. There was a swimming pool there but it didn't have any water in it, not sure this is even the caravan parks pool it was fully fenced but empty.

Big grassy sites, good conveniences, walk to main street shops. Walk to nearby weir and power station. Easy walk to RSL pokies etc in Mulwala. The toilets need an expanded metal type grid at the entrance to stop the mowed grass from spoiling the floor. Needs a drainage mat when you get out of the shower as the floor is very wet (no curtain). Advertised with free WIFI but wouldn't work "as we were too far from the office" but no one else could get it either.

Loved by thousands of noisy, squawking corellas, the Yarrawonga Holiday Park is right on the river and walking distance to the main street of Yarrawonga. The toilets and showers are OK, very good play facilities for kids and a very large air conditioned camp kitchen which has the lowest sink in Australia. (Maybe for the kids to wash up). Some of the more expensive sites along the river are very small and the river bank is practically a sheer drop of about 8 metres down to the water level. A good boat ramp is available near the office. A very big and busy park with staff who can be quite short and rude when the mood suits them. For those with kids, it probably very convenient once you get through the check-in process. After one stay, we are not planning to park our caravan amongst the corellas and other nasties next trip.

Great amenities at this family holiday park. A great couple of days was enjoyed by all. We booked a powered site for our caravan and had no issues. The toilets and showers were better than expected. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the awesome splash park which has a lovely deck that parents can relax on to watch the kids play. The little kiosk sold the essentials like ice, milk, ice cream etc and staff were helpful however it’s a very short drive to the local Woolworths for any other needed supplies. Would certainly come back again.

This park is extremely disappointing. The grass sites have very little grass and a mostly just dirt. The toiletsand showers are dirty with shower heads that are blocked and barely work. The sites are small and seem very crowded as the road network is just wide enough for a van with very little room for maneuvering car and van. Some of the road ways are just dirt between rows. The large camp kitchen is ill equipped without any pots pans etc. The only saving grace of this park is the large enclosed play area and splash park. Although the splash park is not covered which would be great given the sun in NE vic.

I would NOT recommend this park for families.
Not only were we paying high shoulder prices when half the park is closed but the kids waterpark wasn't working for all but one of the days we stayed, with no notified this would be the case. The jumping pillow is no longer operational (we did know about this but many other parks have this available for the same price). The new "heated" pool was much colder than the river, so not sure how heated it actually is.

The front office staff member Michelle was very rude and condescending when just asked basic questions. Based on how she treated us and the fact she clearly couldn't care less about offering any form of customer service or even trying to help, I would never come back to this park.

Above are the two main issues, there were plenty more but not worth writing a story. Just look elsewhere.

Great spot to stay, I’ve been on sites and in cabins and love the place. Staff are very nice to deal with and I’ve always had a pleasant stay. Amenities are always very well kept and the cabins are clean and comfortable. It’s now my go to place to stay when going to Lake Mulwala boating and fishing because unlike other parks in the area, there’s heaps of room to park the boat.

Made and enquiry on check in about the “so called and advertised WIFI”
The impatient and abrupt admin lady advised that it worked but depended on the wind direction
Nil WIFI over the 2 day stay. Really made it difficult and inconvenient . Won’t ever stay again. Unfriendly staff and unhelpful

The quality of the sites vary from 1st class to a patch of dirt (if it happened to rain this would turn into a mudbath). The problem I have is that irrespective of the site you pay $50 for the privilege. Unlike others found the staff friendly and accomodating and the ablution block in area 'A' well up to standard.

Stayed for four nights in March. Our site was right on the river with lovely views, but also across from the large gated playground which was supposed to close at 9pm, however kids were there til well after 10pm and pretty rowdy so its not well monitored. Our closest toilet block was on the other side of the gated playground and requires security codes to get in and out which became tiresome particularly at night as there is no lighting around the keypads, or walk around which in the dark was not a good option. The park has great facilities for kids so good for families, however for a park that size they could do with another toilet/shower block because if one is closed the other is quite a walk away. Best feature is the river view so if that is a priority this is the park for you.
