Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Glen Eagles is amazing. I stayed there a while ago when I purposed to my fiance. You get a lovely spacious house all to yourself. I would say cottage but its all very modern. It includes everything you want for a romantic getaway such as a large spa, fire place and amazing views. They include little extras like chocolates, awesome continental breakfast and some fresh fruit. My partner loved that we could explore the farm and meet the animals that they have (friendly horses and a large great dane). I have worked in a few hotels and study hotel management at uni so know an amazing place when i see it and Glen Eagles has a great thing going. Don't miss an opportunity for a perfect getaway!

We spent the weekend in the Red Door Cottage during a recent trip to the Yarra Valley. The location is stunning, with panoramic views of the valley from the lounge. The cottage was superb. Two large bedrooms, nice lounge, huge double spa in the bathroom and great, well stocked kitchen. We loved the wood burning heater - perfect for a winter's evening. There was a great range of breakfast supplies. We would thoroughly reccomend a stay here. Try Evergreen Winery tours (good value wine tour in a limo, rather than a bus) and Sticks winery (right next door with great wines!).

The cottage was absolutely stunning. Every little detail was taken care of - above and beyond our expectations. The chocolates, the timtams - everything was perfect!

The cottage itself is very modern - with all the mod cons. The spa was bliss! The couch was so comfortable - we loved that we could both lay down completely. The highlight was the dual opening wood fire! It opened from both the bedroom and the lounge room so we could always see it. So romantic!

We were so in love with it all that we wished that we could stay longer than our one night - or even move in forever! Everything about our stay was absolute bliss! We hope to return someday soon.

Thank you very much to the owners for creating such an idyllic, sensuous retreat.

This B and B offers a fantastic venue and an affordable price point. The apartment had all the necessary amenities and some great perks including the double spa and a twin fireplace. We loved going to sleep with the fire and waking up with the amazing sunrise and views. We did think that a bbq area and cover outside would have been a bonus. Saying that, we will definitely return.

We've been here several times and will keep coming back. Ok, maybe the grass could do with a bit of a mow, but it's such a perfect spot and we love the fire and spa in particular. The owners are also terrific and will do anything for you. We love it.

We stayed in the Green Door Cottage for 2 nights. The view is indisputably fabulous, but with attention to detail I would have given the quality of the accomodation a higher rating. The negatives were : uncomfortable beds, showers and taps cutting out because of problems with the pump, food left over in the fridge from previous tenants, grass un-mown around the cottage, a ridiculously small second bedroom, and a less than perfect standard of cleanliness. We were disappointed and would stay elsewhere next time.

My husband and I have stayed at Gleneagles 4 times in the past 3 years and we cannot wait to go back. The location is secluded but you have all the comforts plus more of home. There are two units, both with 2 bedrooms in each. They have a master bedroom with a double sided fireplace into the lounge, floor to ceiling windows throughout so you can look across the valley, full kitchens and a large bathroom. The second bedroom has a set of bunks. The bathroom has a shower against the window so you can look outside over the hills, but there is a privacy screen outside so no one can see in. The corner spa bath also is next to a window so you can look out. Very nice! We are always greeted with chopped fire wood, milk, bread, croissants, fruit and plenty of other provisions. I have recommended Gleneagles to so many people and no one as even had a problem or complaint.
The property is located about a 4 minute drive from central Yarra Glen.
