We had dinner there last night, and without a doubt, one of the best meals we have ever had, beautifully cooked, more content than needed, staff were magnificent. The decor, bar and surrounds were very professionally presented, it is a must visit venue.

Went to the pub for lunch on a quiet Monday and were the only customers for most of the meal? Don't know where everyone was but we enjoyed it. Had a cold beer with my cheeseburger & chips while the wife had a chicken wrap & chips plus a schooner as well! The pub has a large beer garden area and I reckon it would be busy on weekends & holidays? Nice meal , well priced and friendly barmaid made for a good lunch while we perused the map for our next stop.

Stopped in for lunch , unfortunately the steak was awfully tough, I couldn’t eat it.. wrapped it up & took it home for the dogs.. and the mash was cold , at $39 I was disappointed, hubby had bangers & mash , which appeared to be heated up in the microwave and they forgot the sauce it was served with… However the publican was very nice & friendly, didn’t have the heart to complain

Great family friendly pub. We often eat here whenever we are in town. Cosy fire and very welcoming staff. Great beer garden beer in summer months. Enjoyed the food and warm atmosphere. Highly recommend this pub if you want to experience some genuine Yackandandah hospitality.

Essentials - great publican ✅ Great food ✅ Open fire ✅ Basic Clean rooms ✅ a great host - checked in at the end of our day, easy to talk to; bar had a good selection of local brews and wines. Food was delicious - lamb ragout shepherds pie; and best chicken burger ever. Rooms are plain and comfy bed. Share bathroom - adequate and clean. The hospitality was the clincher - felt like we were staying in a friends home. Give it a go.

My partner and I stayed here over the weekend, staff were lovely and accommodating, rooms were basic but had everything we needed. What a great country pub, I visit the lovely township of Yackandandah weekly for work and always stay at the Yackandandah Hotel (The Bottom Pub). Peter, Jeff, and the team always make you feel welcome, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the beer is crisp and cold! The food is great (I recommend the Crispy Chicken Burger, yum) goes well with a beer. If a burger is not your thing, there's plenty to choose from on the menu. Anyway, it’s a 10/10 from me, keep up the great work guys.

Got out of Melbourne (finally) and decided to stay in a local Pub. This is a great country Pub. We enjoyed Peter and team's hospitality, ate dinner at the restaurant and stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms upstairs. Breakfast was the best. If you are after a quiet night, this is not the place to go if the footy team wins that day and is in the bar; but otherwise it was warm, friendly and a great one-night stay.

When having a short break in Yackandandah recently we did find that not much is open until Wednesday, when it all begins to happen. We decided to visit the Yackandandah Hotel for dinner and were welcomed warmly before choosing to sit outside as it was a lovely, warm evening. My husband ordered the salmon, which he said was the best he had ever had. A great venue for an evening meal or a quiet drink.
