A Boutique Motel occupying a privileged position on High Street. This is Yackandandah accommodation at its best with access to the town's hotels, eateries and shops right outside our front door. Enjoy well designed rooms with all the comforts one would expect of larger more expensive hotels, whilst taking advantage of the central location. 20 minutes from the Melbourne/Sydney freeway at Wodonga and also a short drive from Beechworth makes Yackandandah Motor Inn a great stop over choice or maybe a perfect base for exploring North East Victoria's award winning winneries and histotric towns.

This 8 room motel could run master classes in how to run a motel. It has without a doubt the cleanest bathroom we have ever encountered in our travels (including 5 star hotels). The attention to detail in the room shows the care the owners, Robert and Chris, take in looking after visitors. While the layout is the same as other country motels it is uncluttered but there is still room for 2 comfortable chairs inside, you do not have to sit on the bed. The room is clean, and decor tasteful. The linen is excellent quality, nothing like crisp white sheets. We couldn’t recommend highly enough. The location is right in the centre of town and provides a good base for touring the alpine high country and Beechworth.

When we told some friends we were going on a driving holiday and Yackandandah was one of our planned stops, they told us about this motel and raved about the service. So we booked a room and found it to be everything our friends said it would be.
This isn't a luxurious resort style hotel, but it is an excellent motel by any measure. The lady at the reception desk (I am guessing one of the owners) was very friendly, helpful, took us to our room and told us to contact her if we needed anything.
The hotel has everything you will need in a motel. Even small touches like a shaving/vanity mirror in the bathroom; separate charging station for your electronic devices, good, free WiFi, electric blankets (it gets cold in Yack).
It is one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in.
Yackandandah is not a large town, but the motel is close to all town facilities, including hotels/restaurants.
A very enjoyable, albeit short stay.

This place truly is a gem. Our room was super clean and very comfortable with some very thoughtful extras such as dental kits, plenty of face towels, a choice of soft or firm pillows. The kitchenette had plenty of what we needed. Robert was so helpful on arrival, allowing us to check in early and giving us maps of the area and recommendations on bike tracks and where to eat. They also have a garage where we were able to keep our bikes safely. The motel is in the heart of this beautiful town so it’s in a great location, yet from our room it was quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this place.

We loved our visit to Yackandandah, a town with lots of atmosphere and history, well worth diverting for from the main highway. We stayed at the Yackandandah Motor Inn, a small 8 room motel tucked in behind a driveway in the middle of the main street, close to cafes, shops and two pubs. The owners have created a lovely home away from home to stay overnight or longer. Our room was beautifully decorated and appointed with everything we needed and more, including a kitchenette, electric blankets and bedside lights (that actually illuminated enough to read),

In the morning the owner washed and wiped down windscreens before guests went on their way. The friendly welcome and attention to detail make this accommodation stand out from many on-the-road motels and even establishments that pride themselves on their luxury status.

The Yackandandah motor in is a real stand out when it comes to motels. It’s very clear the owners love what they are doing and the attention to detail is second to none. Rooms are spotless and well appointed with really comfortable beds.

If you’re not sure what to do or where to eat the owners are a wealth of information on Yackandandah and nearby Beechworth. Great food can be found literally right outside the front gate.

We were really surprised to find our car windows had been washed in the morning before we left. It’s these little touches that make all the difference.

If you want a really nice place to stay that’s really well priced with friendly staff, you won’t do better than the Yackandandah motor inn.

My wife and I were returning from visiting family in NSW and we would normally break our trip back by stopping in Beechworth. Unfortunately nothing was available in town. We turned to web and saw so many positive reviews for Yack motor inn that we thought lets stay there instead.

The Yack motor inn is located right in the centre of town, Across the road from the supermarket, a minutes walk to several pubs and restaurants and right near the Yack Beechworth bakery. From the outside it looks like a well maintained typical country Motor Inn that have been around for decades, usually something like a 2.5 or 3 star establishment. Inside, however, reveals a tasteful, well thought out motel room.

The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom modern and spacious. Thoughtful touches like deluxe toiletries, a choice of Hard and Soft pillows, Mugs supplied for the tea and coffee and biscuits instead of the 2 sips and you're done cups many motels supply. The cleanliness of the room was exceptional, better than many City boutique hotels.

Possibly the best of its class anywhere in Australia and value for money.

We stayed two nights in a well-appointed very clean and comfortable room. You can't get any closer to the local facilities and restaurants but it is not noisy at all. The hosts are very friendly and to add to the already 5-star service they provide they clean the windows of the guest's vehicles each morning.

Will be back again to this wonderful motor inn. We were welcomed by a lovely gentleman who gave us a very informative viewing of the room and also gave us alot of info regarding dining in town.
Lovely little touches like teas and coffees, disposable toothbrushes and wifi.
Bed was wonderfully comfortable, pillow comfort to choose from and a very nice room set up. And for the final touch, the windows of our car cleaned before departure.
Highly recommend.

The room was spotless and the bathroom was well set up with a range of toiletries.
The owner was friendly and showed us to our room and explained how lighting and heating worked.
