We had a fabulous stay at the Winchelsea Motel. The staff were all friendly and very welcoming and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was also very good indeed. I highly recommend this lovely motel.

In early January 2023, my husband, Lou and I had a very enjoyable stay at Winchelsea Motel. The spacious room was well presented, clean and inviting with a comfortable bed and pillows. Dinner at the restaurant was very delicious with generous portions. Compliments to the chef. Service was very good, special thanks to Tracey and Aaron. Winchelsea Motel is truly value for money. We very highly recommend it. Delighted customers, Bernadine & Lou

Cheap for a one night stay. This is an old Motel has a lot of potential. Spoke with Manager Pat, Re our stay. He was very obliging. Had a meal at the Hotel , I felt was a bit expensive but tasted nice. I give you a hint order half size as we wasted so much. (Big meal.)

non-functional air conditioner. A hair drier could make the room warmer than that. Wifi is a dark comedy as the signal is too weak .Dust in drawers with remaining items from previous guest(surgical mask). I did not try the bar or dinner, so I can not comment on those.

Good afternoon we are sorry to hear you had a bad experience with us as we stated on the the other platform you reviewed us on our room air conditioners are state of the art Daikin Inverter reverse cycle units and we could not find any remaining items from previous clients. We pride ourselves on ensuring our customers enjoy their stay with us and it is unfortunate you did not mention this to us when we had to follow you up for payment, or you did not mention any of your concerns to our staff when you arrived. We would definitely have been able to rectify your concerns when you stayed with us. We also have a tri band router we could have re directed you to another of our wifi networks if you had of approached us. We have since double checked our wifi service and found that their is no problem with the reception. We do however apologise you did not enjoy your time with us and would hope that if you do stay with us again you would address your concerns with us so we can have an opportunity to fix them whilst you are here. Kind Regards Management

Only half an hour from Anglesea it's a great place to spend the night before doing the Great Ocean Road. Comfy bed, clean, nice bathroom, quiet and really everything you want including a great meal at the Tavern. Would definitely come back rather than staying at overpriced places like Torquay.

Loved the place from the moment we drove in. Such lovely reception from Rod. Comfy rooms and lots of space to open up bags (a big deal if you’ve been in small Melbourne hotel rooms!) and Tracy at the bar was wonderful when we wanted to play a few extra games of pool. Would definitely come back again!

We stayed only one night but if we knew what a gem this place was, we would have booked another night! Spotlessly clean, scrumptious meals at the attached hotel bistro and friendly, welcoming staff! What more could tired travellers want! We will be back!

My husband and I recently enjoyed 4 nights at the Winchelsea Motel. We arrived a little early but even though they were busy cleaning after the long weekend, we were able to access our room. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. A large bathroom and period furnishings that gave the room an old world feel, in keeping with the facade and hotel. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed dinner in the tavern on 3 of of our nights and was really impressed with the quality of the food. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal with our compliments to the chef. We were in a great position to visit the Barwon Park Mansion, Colac and Lorne. Everywhere was within an easy drive. Within a short drive of Melbourne, it is a great spot to spend a quiet few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city.…
