The Mountain View Hotel in Whitfield is owned and managed by the Pizzini family. The Pizzini family also own Pizzini Wines which is located 2km from the hotel. The hotel is open 6 days a week from 11am till late. The Kitchen is open from noon serving both country pub classic dishes as well as a good selection of restaurant quality meals. The hotel has accommodation in the form of comfortable motel units, each with a king bed and newly renovated bathroom. The Mountain View Hotel is located in the heart of Whitfield and right next door to a 9 hole golf course.

We went to the Mountain View Hotel Restaurant for my brothers birthday and it was wonderful. The host and staff were so warm and welcoming, the service was brilliant and the food delicious! We were able to sit in the beautiful courtyard with our doggos and it was so relaxing.

We dined here two nights and have to say it was impressive ,it was quality food with a good variation and a great selection of wines as one would get around inner Melbourne The service was excellent and in a friendly manner ,also such a friendly environment

The service was amazing!!! We were made to feel very welcome and the staff couldn’t do enough to help us. The food was delicious and with wine suggestions to match each meal if needed. Would highly recommend.

Nice lunch. Good menu and wine list. Friendly backpackers serving and waiting. Big shady outside eating area. Good steak and chips. Rack of lamb was ok. Fat wasn’t rendered properly. A bit basic. $48. Grilled zuccini. Boiled potatoes. Menu said roasted. Fried saltbush leaves. 6. Pickled radicchio should have been left fresh and plain. Vinegar didn’t match the meal. Shame they took the pork knuckle off the menu.

I have been going the the mountain view hotel for years and it keeps getting better. The Pizzini family run this as a really tight but super friendly business. Everyone has a job to do and they all do it, really well. Full table service and great food. You can go expensive or stick with pub staples and they are all good. A real stand out in every respect. Make sure you book.

Fantastic staff real country vibe so friendly, food and wine selection was great using locally sourced produce including beer from king valley brewery. Enjoyed our night so much went back next night staff remembered us made our visit memorable

Great hotel, BEAUTIFUL, modern, fine dining food. Good options and choices.Good portion sizes. Local produce on the menu. Great wine selections. Very good service, friendly staff. Lovely relaxed, warm setting. Local caravan park Gentle Annie provide a cheap shuttle service to and from venues.

Great food and menu choice. Everything from a really good steak, fish and chips, salads and much more! I had beef carpaccio and it was divine. The waiter was really good with a great sense of humour! Highly recommend this venue!
