Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The room was spotless and roomy, bed comfortable and cosy, air conditioner and T.V. easy to operate and the position in the town was easy to find.Situated a short walk from a supermarket and bakery. Also a short walk to a hotel which served very nice meals. The owner was easy to find and was always able to give us advise we had any enquiries, The site of the motel in on a main road but the rooms seemed to be well sound proofed as we had an undisturbed sleep even on a Saturday night. We felt very safe and comfortable at all times.

The attendant was great, went above and beyond for me, fetched me some ice from the supermarket for an injury. (I couldn't walk, tore my calf). Room, well the single bed had something smeared into the sheets, I'd hate to guess what it was but it was brown . I hope it was chocolate.. nose was a problem, the tin roof makes so much noise, we had difficulties sleeping. Otherwise, it was a typical 3 star experience,

I am very easy to please and rarely complain. I was stunned by how awful this place is. The outside is very off putting. Lots of unsavoury characters hanging around the fronts of the units, strong smell of marijuana, lots of rubbish lying around. There was no one at reception when I arrived at 530pm (website says it is open to 930pm). Finally found the cleaner who knew nothing but just gave me a key to room, I was checking the lock and debating leaving, when I accidentally got shut out. Couldn’t find anyone so rang the motel phone number. It was answered by the Manager who was in another town, told me should try to get someone. I ended up ringing her a number of times over the next 2 hours and she just refused to help. She then suggested another tenant should climb on the roof and break in to the office for the key. She ended up abusing me. I had been approached by people looking for money, and started to feel unsafe. After 2 hours of being stuck outside I rang the police. They were horrified when they arrived, as had there been an emergency, no responsible person was contactable and in case of fire etc. the units could not be accessed. They finally tracked down the cleaner who gave them a key. I removed my belongings and left, refused to stay in the dump. By this stage there was another man in the same position of being locked out. The police will be following up. I do not know why this is advertised on Wotif, as it is clearly some other type of accomodation facility and not a decent motel. I appreciate the rooms may not all have been as bad as the one I was shown to, the Magagemeng and general state of repair is disgusting.

Had a nice stay , but were accidently double-charged for our room. Contacted Cynthia at the Motel and she quickly fixed up the matter by crediting our credit card. Three cheers---will stay again if down that way.

I stayed here last year. . The motel has changed for the better, it’s now clean and fresh. Breakfast in the light and bright conference room was ample. Thank you new management . The curtains need fixing but I am told they are on the to do list.

2nd time I’ve stayed in 12 month period. Good pricing. Had no complaints the first time here in May 22. But I’ve seen a marked improvement. Friendly and accommodating Manager, clean and comforṯable room and even improved outdoor surrounds. Very happy to stay here again. Highly recommended.
