Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Three apartments booked for the family to celebrate a special birthday. Management did their best to ruin the weekend for us. Where they could have been helpful, they chose not to be. Felt like reception's main task was enforcing "policy" rather than customer satisfaction.

Stayed in a resort room for one night and did not get much sleep. There is little sound proofing between the walls of each room. The room next door had their TV on until midnight and we could hear every word from the TV. We could even hear the clinking of their spoon as they ate from a bowl. The noise from upstairs was no better as we could hear a child upstairs running around and being screamed at by a parent for most of the evening until quite late. The facilities are great for families but if you are a couple who like to sleep early or want a quiet, relaxing holiday, I would not recommend Silverwater Resort.

Two night minimum. Not worthy 4 stars, in desperate need of refurbishment. Felt springs in the mattress, musty odour in the stairwell, mould in the shower, large gaps between blinds, will be reporting

Beds are terrible, they have been the same ever since I've been coming here, they're so hard, they need to be thrown out and replaced, my third time here so asked for a mattress topper, still hard.. Rooms need to be updated and have money spent on them. We booked 5 apartments between us all asked to be situated together, couldn't have been any further apart. Nice looking resort, great location, just needs more put into it.. Family friendly new years event turned into a horrible one where the manager got ganged up on, hope he was okay, may need to consider security next time, had to remove my son from the situation 😬

We stayed at the Silverwater Resort for 4 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment. Overall I enjoyed our stay however there were a few things which I was disappointed about. Our accommodation included breakfast which was served in the restaurant each morning. There were 3 breakfast sessions which needed to be pre booked. Due to the breakfast being in sessions, it was a mad rush for diners to fill up their plates and many of the breakfast options disappeared quickly. The staff did their best to restock but they couldn’t keep up. It was chaotic and I would have been disappointed if I’d paid $25 for breakfast. The restaurant was understaffed and on two mornings we were led to tables which did not have enough chairs or cutlery for our party of 4, requiring us to ask other tables for spare chairs. We ate at the restaurant for dinner one evening and also purchased takeaway. Both meals were of a great standard and very tasty. Although I wasn’t impressed with the children’s meal of 5 chicken nuggets and chips, the serving size was very poor for $17 and the nuggets looked like the type you can purchase from the supermarket and of poor quality. The rooms were light and spacious. We enjoyed a view over the village green and playground. The large shower and bath were handy with young children as was the washing machine. The BBQ whilst we didn’t use it, would have been convenient if the weather was better. And we were impressed with the smart tv that allowed us to log into our streaming accounts and watch what we’d like. In term’s of the location, the resort was too far for us to walk to the shops but it was only a short drive into town. At the time we stayed, there were no food delivery options so we ate at the restaurant and drove to San Remo town for meals. I would certainly stay here again, although I wouldn’t elect to have breakfast at the restaurant. The well appointed kitchen would allow us to eat in our apartment or we would go to a cafe. The downside is that the main shops and beaches are a short drive away but that was ok for us. I imagine in the summer, car parking at the beach and shops might be challenging but with the on-site pool and playground, leaving the resort might not be necessary.

My son and I booked a room with a note requesting two single beds. They accepted the booking, but then told us they couldn't supply two single beds. Then they wouldn't refund our money because it was apparently after the cut-off for refunds even though we contacted them straight away. We even spoke to them but they refused to help. It was a "computer says no" situation, nobody seemed to have the discretion or interest to assist us and we couldn't get a refund. Been there before several times, but won't be back again.

The bed was very, very uncomfortable. I can overlook any issue with accommodation but an uncomfortable bed is unforgiveable. I wonder when the last time the owners / managers tried sleeping here??

We enjoyed a quick family getaway and we’re surprised at how big the resort is. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was spacious and clean. There are lots of activities for the kids - playground, jumping pillow, pools and arcade room, which they loved. The staff were friendly and informative at check in. Unlike other places, the tv and digital compendium actually worked! The beds were a bit too firm for us. When comparing other accommodation of a similar price point I would have expected a little more - there were signs saying we had to take out all rubbish and do all dishes or be charged an extra $50. The is no cleaning service on a 2 night stay. And we only had one shampoo, conditioner, soap etc in the bathroom for a family of 4. Rooms are little tired but still in good condition. That said, the resort was very full when we stayed but we didn’t hear any other guests. It was quiet and comfortable and a good place for our staycation. We would love to try it out in summer.

Room Tip: Pack shampoo, conditioner etc as you won’t have enough for a stay over 1 night.
